I don't know what topic to go to
i just got a new ipod touch and a new computer. I used to have the 3rd generation ipod nano and i bought a hundred or so songs to go on it from itunes.But now it says i have only purchased 8 in itunes but i have all 125 or so on my old ipod and i can transfer them anywhere. I need help!

You need to transfer your iTunes Library from your old computer to your new one to retain all your music, playlists, play counts etc.

There's a black and white striped glitch on the left side of my screen on my Macbook Air! Its happened before and has been an easy fix, usually just restart or turn off my computer but don't know what else to do. Is there anything I can try now? For another program (WASY WGeo) after the working with PS CC I need a picture with the right colours in the end with 256 colours in 8 bit per picture - I still got it until yesterday. I don´t know what I´ve done wrong in PS CC but I´m still working in mode with 8 bit RYB. I controlled my result with Irfan View: it´s a picture with 16,7 million colours and 56 bit pp.

When I go to buy an app that isn't free it asks for my security question but I don't know what my security question is so I go to change it and it said it will send the info to this email that I don't even have. What do I do?

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that -

What steps have you done to try and fix the problem? -
finished, at about 26 chaps, 1) hard-drive went out, 2) visited site & then got "ur virus is infected buy us now" pop-ups (only time in 3 year. of using a mac, and 3) (forget what but an issue. Spent hours on-line, and at store. And finally w/an attorney when I kept being told it was user error. (I"m getting to book isssue I promise) During this time, Harddrive was wiped, external b-up replaced, something about "separated" etc. etc. and even computer replaced w/same issues afterward. Final vrdict 1 yr. later: 1_ we've never seen it 2_ we don't know what it is--not a virus, not harddrive malfunciton, not software issue 3_ we don't know how to fix it. Live w/it w/multiple errors and oddities every time you try to type or start all over. Got an attorney, and took it in again, and miractulously, "he" fixed it. However, in meantime, I wrote many duplicate chapts. when I couldn't find missing, or edited, some, etc.
Everything was writen in Pages, chapt. by chapt. Now I have a 27 chap. book(my first) in pieces--w/many duplicate or slightlychanged chapters all over the computer. I'm trying to reconstruct. Some chaps. I just can't find, some are garbled, some do strange things like left justifying and changing to single space (and can't change back to double, just have to erase and start over, on those old documents. Needless to say I have felt so defeated it's been really hard to get back to the almost finished book for last re-write.
The Questions: 1)I'm trying to find the chapters, and as I find and edit them I need to know how to make this massive achievement work. Should I continue w/chapter by chapt until all are finished? Or start putting them into single document as they are finished? How do I find anything? If I put finished in PDF to send to publisher, even tho it's my PDF, I can't go back and edit my own, except in a duplicate entire document, is that correct?
I cant' find the string to start unraveling this mess. I do have hardcopies made and presented to writing group so need to edit those chapters.
I'm used to paper typewritten copies of everything for manipulation, and I know things now I should have done on the Mac but didn't when I started. (I"m also having trouble getting a Table of Contents to work, which is making it doubly hard to find anything.)
To sum it up, I think, How do I write a book, with chapters (no technical sstuff, only a few footnotes & I may group them at the back of the book.) as far as manipulating documetns/folders, have ready for export, etc. Probably too long a question so go ahead and chew me out. (And I havent' used any other document except Text Edit in years.) I am overwhelmed an book is wasting away.If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

I am having a problem with my Mac OS X 10.7.5 mac book air , there are constant pop pups and small windows with ads blinking constantly opening up on my safari in front of everything?? it is constantly interupting me and makes me mistakingly click on it then another new windows open behind the one im using..

About file quarantine in OS X
If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using Dr.Web Light from the App Store. It's free, and since it's from the App Store, it won't destabilize the system. I turned of iMessage and now I want it back on and it's not working, I have changed my password and now I don't know what to do. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong? I have done this on both of my iPads and it hasn't let me go back on to iMessage on either of them.

There is no password to Thunderbird. The password you need is to the email account. Contact the email provider for password reset.

Something keeps trying to download on my mac and I don't know what it is. It is not in the apple store and just comes out nowhere and request for my password to download something and I don't know what it is. How to make this stop? It pops up every single day.

I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.

I have a Mac leopard. Did a recent recommended update. When it finished,I restarted then a window came up to enter Master Password. I don't know what it is and when I try to enter one, the window shakes so I am unable to use computer at all.
Please confirm exactly what Mac this is, and what 'recent update' you installed.
