If it doesn't work with any sd card you insert into it then you can try a smc reset and a pram reset but if that doesn't work then the slot has failed. the only way to get that fixed is to replace the main circuit board, the logic board, which is very expensive. That is unless your mac still has a warranty on it then it would be free.
If you have no more warranty then just buy a sd card reader that connects to the computer by usb port.

Okay, so i've bought a $15.00 itunes card and redeemed it on the store. I got the message that it was valid and that it is now in my account. PROBLEM: I tried to download an app and it first says: buy or cancel. i press buy then it goes to payment info. required. i put my password in and click billing info... Can't sync apps - error message says that they can't be identified

I tried to sync my Itouch this morning and got a message that it couldn't complete because it couldn't identify all the apps.

the message actually says that they can't be determined. I do have 'sync apps' checked. I just tried shutting down my itouch and itunes and restarting them and that didn't work.

iPad-settings, movies, home sharing. Music-home sharing. Both under settings on the iPad. Enter your apple I'd and password in both spots. If you have a computer, turn on homesharing on iTunes as well. Homesharing has to be all turned on with the SAME apple I'd. Even if it's your iPad and a wife's iPad, pick one apple I'd and put that apple I'd in both of those spots even if it's not your iPad. Kinda confusing.

You have to upgrade to Leopard. Leopard isn't sold by Apple because it has been discontinued. First, check that your iBook is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp517

What exactly happens when you try to buy something ? If you've already removed the card from your account then iTunes shouldn't be asking for any details about it.
If you log into into your account is the card still shown . On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your phone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.
