I don't like firefox 4 I have lost everything from before and am having to constantly look

I cannot access all the information that I had on the version of firefox after I installed firefox 4 I thought it was just some sort of update I did not expect for it to be completely different and erase all my setups now I have to "hunt" and waste a lot of time trying to access everything and most of it is gone , I can't even refresh a page.
Also, I can't get my e=books to download and read thru firefox

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

You cannot see it because it is hidden.. one of those great things apple does.. if it is hidden in your Mac then it will be hidden in the Time Machine Backup.
You will need to restore the entire folder to a different location.. and unhide it.

I have stopped using firefox as default because of issues that started about 12 months ago . Instead of the usual fierfox browser opening it was hijacked by Talk talk uk page and also bombarded by adds by ( FAVORITE ) , I have errased everything from my computer regarding firefox / mozilla / thunderbird and also erased all bookmarks etc so as no trace could hinder the re installation but to no avail !

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

I have lost songs from HD, and want to re-download them. iTunes won't let me as they have already been downloaded to this computer. How can I do this?

I have lost songs from my HD (iTunes shows them as missing and although the artist folder and album name are on teh HD the songs aren't)
If I go into iTunes I can see I have bought them, and previously downloaded them, but I cannot 're-download them' as Itunes thinks they are there. The download songs not on the Mac doesn't list them, and there is no option to download them again.
Any ideas I either force a new download, or resent iTunes.

After updating to Firefox 9 I have lost all my Bookmarks and Add ons

Firefox updated it's self to version 9.0.1. When I opened Firefox all my bookmarks and add ons where gone.
I have searched the help section with no help.

This turned out to be the root cause for my problem. Simply renamed the
places.sqlite.corrupt file to places.sqlite and my profile (including bookmarks) worked again. Thanks!
By the way, I first noticed that something was wrong with my _profile_ when, in addition to lost bookmarks, I noticed that I couldn't create _new_ bookmarks. Also was not able to restore bookmarks from a backup .json file. So I created a new profile, and was able to restore the bookmarks from the original profile's backup. That led me to exploring your suggestion. Thanks again!

I don't like Firefox 4, and I want to downgrade to the previous version. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I don't like Firefox 4 because I can't tag things on delicious, AND I can't save multiple sessions. The "Restore Previous Session" button isn't helpful because sometimes a new session launches from an email link, and then the previous session I wanted to save is lost. If I can't downgrade, I'll switch to Google Chrome. I am not interested in hearing about workarounds. Thanks.

I have lost lmy AOL toolbar and Firefox will not allow me to install it

I have lost my AOL toolbar and I can no longer cut and paste when I am in AOL through Firefox. This happened after I installed your newest upgrade to Firefox. Very weird. When I try to install the AOL Toolbar it says that Firefox will not let me install it because the AOL toolbar is corrupt. But I was able to install the AOL toolbar when I went through Internet Explorer. I like going in through Firefox but I may have to go in through Internet Explorer.

I suggest you go to Apple's ID site, log in and update everything. Then you will surely get a confirmation mail.
Once all is done, you will most probably be able to log in to the iTunes store again.

You will have to close firefox.exe with the Windows Task Manager from the "Processes" tab of the WTM since you don't have a widow to close.
The best way to close Firefox is through File > Exit, for those who stuck with the "Firefox" button click on the Firefox button then Exit. It is not perfect but it is a lot better than just closing the window with the "X" in the upper right corner

IGNORE the last post: he thought you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
Since you are using Snow Leopard, you need to install Rosetta. It can be found on your Snow Leopard Install DVD in the Options section.
Once installed all should be well again.
Also, if your computer is connected to the internet when the Dialog Box about PowerPC applications comes up, it MIGHT allow you to download Rosetta from the internet. There has been some discussion that Apple has discontined internet download of Rosetta into Snow Leopard.
Someone else will have to address your lost files problem.

you can't use scenes in html5 projects.
that's also no significant limitation because there's never a situation (afaik) where you need to use scenes. they are strictly a convenience for designers.
i don't know any programmers that use scenes.
