I don't own a credit card...   changing country?

I will never own a credit card. I can't stand them.
Anyway... how do I simply change my country without inputing credit card details? I hate Apple for this!
I purchased the ipad in China, now I live in a new country. I can't access apps available in my country, and the only ones I can really view are in Chinese... annoying.
Please can anybody help solve this? Grrrr Apple... just... grrrrr.
Thanks.

It doesn't have tobe a credit card, most debit cards also work. But if you don't see a None option in Payment Options, you will have to supply some form of payment. How did you originally set up the account without a bank card? Are iTunes cards available in the country were you live?

Whether a credit card needs to be entered onto an account depends upon how you created the account. Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
If you are being prompted to review your account then you could see if the instructions on this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without needing to enter credit card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054
If not then you will need to create a new account, and follow the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating it. If you want to use the same email address then you will need to replace it on that account first e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

I recently was unable to watch a movie I purchased & paid for because my credit card was out of date. Surely you cannot take access to items I have purchased away from me if I do not own a credit card? Does this mean that I will no longer be able to view purchases if I decide to cancel my credit card. If this is the case, I will not be purchasing movies from iTunes again

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.
    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

  • HT2534 I  don't have a credit card and would like to update facilities on my iPAD. How can I do this without a credit card?

I don't have a credit card and would like to make updates on my iPAD. How can one manage this without a credit card?

You use a debit card just like you use a credit card in iTunes. You have to enter the card number, security code and billing address as you would with a credit card when you set up the ID. You can make changes to your payment method in your account at any time.
If you want to create an Apple ID without using a credit card you must first sign out of the Apple ID that you already created in Settings>Store>Your Apple ID.
But ...you will also need another email address now if you already created an Apple ID, because that first email address is now associated with that first ID that you created.
If you do have a debit card, you may just be better off entering that card information into your account and use that now. You don't need to even use the debit card if you can purchase iTunes gift cards and redeem those. I use iTunes gift cards exclusively now instead of using my credit card.

  • I'm 16 and don't have a credit card and why can't i use an apple id on my iphone 5 without credit card?

You have to create an Apple ID a specific way to use it without a credit card. The one you have created now, cannot be changed to not have a credit card. See this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534

    Hello Clancbelle,
It sounds like you have a credit card saved to your Apple ID payment information and you would like it to be removed from the account and set the payment method to None. You should be able to do this with the following article:
iTunes Store: Changing your payment information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
Changing your payment information using an iOS device
Tap Settings on the Home screen.
    Tap iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID. (If you aren't signed in, enter your Apple ID and password and tap Sign In.)
    Tap View Apple ID.
    Enter your Apple ID password.
In the Edit section, tap Payment Information.
Update the information that you want to change.
Tap the Done button when you're finished.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

I am a NRI who is staying in UAE. My Apple ID is configured with Indian store. I don't have a credit card in India but having it in UAE. Apple store is not accepting my Debit card from India. What is the legal way to purchase or add credits with itunes?

It won't matter. You are not allowed to use the Indian iTunes Store from the UAE or anywhere else outside of India.
The Service is available to you only in India. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside this location. iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance.
Since you are in the UAE, you can only use the UAE iTunes Store. You will need either to open up a new account in the UAE iTunes Store, or change the country of your existing account to the UAE.
    Regards.

  • I want to avail the in-app purchase in Garageband, but I don't have a credit card.

Hi everyone! I want to purchase more sounds for GB, but then I don't have any credit card. My sisters do have their own associated with their corresponding apple IDs. But is it alright for me to use either of their apple IDs in order to purchase the app? Or could I just supply the credit card info in my own apple ID's billing info? My only concern is that it's not my name that will be placed in the billing info if I did the latter option.

I don't have a CC linked to my account. I use the iTunes gift cards.

  • I don't have a credit card to create a Child ID. What can I do to create one?

I don't have a credit card to create a Child ID. What can I do to create one?

That's not the point. A credit card with a security code is required to "prove" you are a parent in order to set up a child's account in Family Sharing. You can change your payment method right back, Apple says, to a debit card THAT ALSO HAS A SECURITY CODE. If you are a parent without a credit card you can't access Family Sharing for all family members. Apple doesn't care if you're in debt and don't have a card or have freed yourself from the horrible credit card system. It's crap.

    Hello Lai5c,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to create a new Apple ID with no credit card attached. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

If you're using the store for the first time with an existing Apple ID, you must provide a payment method. After you create the account, you can change your payment information to None.
If you're creating a new Apple ID, you might be able to create an account without entering your credit card details.

  • I have to do a verification, but I don't have a credit card

I got an email saying I need to verify my Apple ID, and if I don't, it will expire in 72 hours! Completely unpleasant surprise
But I don't have a credit card and its asking me to put in all this credit card numbers and info that I don't have! I have really important stuff on my Apple account
I can't have it expire! But I can't verify it! And I need to in 36 hours! Help!

    Hello there, Marstars2213.
It does very likely seem that this email you've received is a phishing attempt on someone's part. The following post refers to a similar email:
mail from apple? - Your iTunes account will exp... | Apple Support Communities
Being that Apple ID's don't expire, you may just want to review the following Knowledge Base article for some recommendations on how to deal with emails of this nature:
Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store - Apple Support
The iTunes Store will never ask you to provide personal information or sensitive account information (such as passwords or credit card numbers) via email.
Email messages that contain attachments or links to non-Apple websites are from sources other than Apple, although they may appear to be from the iTunes Store. Most often, these attachments are malicious and should not be opened. You should never enter your Apple account information on any non-Apple website. Apple websites that require Account information have apple.com, such as http://store.apple.com, or iforgot.apple.com (with the exception being iCloud.com).
This article describes what steps you should take if you feel you've received one of these malicious emails or your account information has been compromised due to an attempt to take your personal information (known as "phishing").
What the iTunes Store will never ask you to provide via email:
    Social Security Number
    Mother's maiden name
    Full credit card number
    Credit card CCV code
"Phishers" create elaborate websites that look similar to iTunes, but their sole purpose is to collect your account information. Often, a fake email will ask you to click on a link and visit one of these phishing websites to "update your account information."
In general, all account-related activities will take place in the iTunes application directly, not through a web browser. If you are asked to update your account information, make sure that you do so only in iTunes or on a legitimate page on Apple.com, such as the online Apple Store.
If you have received a suspicious email, please notify iTunes Customer Support by visiting our website: www.apple.com/support/itunes/store.
On the other hand, if you're being prompted to verify your Apple ID after changing some account information, the following article provides information in that regard:
Frequently asked questions about Apple ID - Apple Support
Why am I sometimes asked to verify my Apple ID by email?
When you create a new Apple ID or make certain changes to your account, Apple will require you to sign in by following the link in a verification email. This is to help protect your identity and keep your account secure. Some Apple services, such as FaceTime and GameCenter, require email validation.
How do I verify my Apple ID by email?
Simply follow the link in the verification email that says "Verify Now." Sign in with your current Apple ID and password, then click Verify Address. You can also verify by signing in at My Apple ID. You'll receive an email prompting you to verify.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.
