I don't receive notifications from a particular person

Hello, Those issues with skype are really becoming more annoying by the minute. For the longest time now, I do not receive notifications from a person in my list while others work fine. Incidentaly, This is the person I talk to everyday and I barely ever talk to anyone else.I reinstalled, deleted the person and asked to be deleted, turned off Skype on my PC and leave only the one on Android open, deleted history, reset the app, but to no avail. I will sometimes, out of the blue, get a notification, but it's like, once a month, the rest of the time, i don't get anything, and when I open the app, everything refreshes.Even more annoying, it also refreshes my PC app, that marks all the stuff as unread... I run Android 5.1.1 and the latest app version available, all updates never fixed that issue. Any ideas?

It does sound like a carrier issue, especially if it ordinarily takes 30 minutes to receive a text from that person.

    Well, I realize that would keep the notifications from appearing, but I also assume there's a bit of code for Mac Prices Australia that would still remain on my Mac, and I'd like to delete that entirely. I poked around in the Library, hoping to find a folder with these notifications, but I haven't found one yet.
    I guess I titled my question incorrectly. I should have asked how to remove rather than just stop notifications from a particular source.

    Found a fix:
    1. log in with previous account in Twitter settings
    2. go to Twitter apps' "accounts" page
    3. click settings on bottom left
    4. edit the notifications of the previous account by switching "off" for "mentions and replies" and "message"
    5. delete account in Twitter settings
    DONE!

  • Mail app crashes when receiving email from a particular sender

    HI All,
    Here is a problem I'm facing, Mail App crashes while receiving email from a particular sender. I'm testing our new Email Hosting solution "Rackspace" and it works fine with all other Email clients or on deveices (Android, Windows Phone & Blackbarry) but on Iphone 4s (IOS 6.1.4, i guess) it crashes the Mail App.
    The email I'm using is sending over to an email at ttv-asia.com domain. The user of ttv-asia.com is based in China and just to see if the problem is with the Iphone, I've tested the Iphone's Mail App in Hong Kong and it works normal.
    So now... Im confused and have no Idea on how ro fix this.

    Sorted, it seems that livemail configured for exchange and having Google premier for exchange, results in the mail app on the iPhone crashing, when selecting an email in the Google exchange mail box, then calling up the folders , it crashes. switched off livemail mail, worked fine.
    Weird.
    Google vs Microsoft, with a little help from Apple ???????????

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note: Data will be lost

    I recently exchange my iphone for the same one for a minor issue ans now I don't receive notifications, I rue downloaded an app that use to notify me about my sports and it still hasn't notified me on any team or time event.

    OK....  It is solved. Meanwhile, I discovered a Apple KB that recomended to wait for 24 hours before trying again.
    I waited 24 hours and it is wortking again.
    I have to give 10 points to myself..... :-) I am sorry but the problem wernt way and I want to close it.

    My iPhone 4S will not receive emails from one specific person.
    It sends and receives emails from anyone else ok, I can send emails to this person with out problem, but it will not receive them.
    If I check my webmail it is there, but it won't download to my phone? If I forward their email to myself from the web the forwarded one will be there, but not their original?
    I receive emails from others in the organisation ok. And it used to receive them all ok, on about December 27th it stopped?
    Anyone have any ideas on why this has happened and what I can do to fix it.

    She did have a 1 in front of the number, however she deleted it and the texts still aren't going through. Any idea what else it could be?
    EDIT: Spoke too soon, just came through. It was just liek 20 minutes delayed.

  • Unable to receive mail from a particular address (love is at stake!)

    Okay, so for weeks my new girlfriend and I have been steadily swapping mail without problem. Then, on Sunday 5 Aug at 10pm EDT or so, mail from her personal account ([email protected]) to me ([email protected]) starts bouncing back to her as undeliverable. I don't receive any of them. She is able to mail others, however, without problem and can also mail me at my workplace (not a good solution). The mailer daemon keeps telling her that it continues to try to send it but after xx.xx hours has been unsuccessful. She can receive mine fine.
    She has asked comcast support for help. Their best theory after examining the history is that icloud has blacklisted her address, perhaps for spam or a perceived threat as interpreted by the icloud security system. This is admittedly their best guess. She did attempt to send me an email listing several links to bike tours. I never rec'd it and it appears that it was the earliest case of mail rejection.
    First, can someone advise me on how to contact icloud about this issue? Secondly, does this stand to reason to those of you who understand these systems?

    Okay sorry for delay. Here is a header of a message that had been blocked and it has now apparently been released as i just recieved it a bit ago. I'm imagining that's the result of a 48 hour waiting period. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
