I don't see an itunes store menu on new version of itunes

So itunes won't let me rent a movie because it says I haven't authorized my computer. It says to do so I have to go to the store menu, and hit "authorize" but I don't see the store menu anywhere on this new version of itunes. Please Help.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6. Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

I have the curren version of Itune and do not see how to find duplicates.

The show duplicates feature is now under the View menu. Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Or use my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background.

In the corner of the window, you should see your ipod show up in the upper right corner. Click this, and you will see the summary of your nano. Then you can sync.

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like you may be trying to open the new version of Numbers, which is installed on your computer, but when you attempt to open it you only see the old version opening. If this is the case, it can be explained by the information in the following article about updating iWork:

In the meanwhile, you can continue to use these features by accessing the previous versions of the iWork applications which remain installed on your Mac. The previous versions can be found in Applications > iWork ’09.
You can double check this by utilizing a right-click on the Numbers icon in your dock, and choosing “Show in Finder,” which should take you to the application:

I have bad eyesight and normally run a browser @ easy to see size why doesn't the NEW version of FF keep resizing??

First of all thanks for the browser...2ndly why does every website and it's grandmother require me to "register" with them. I have more accounts than the pentagon and am getting sick of it.
I really do not like this new version but the plug-ins for the old one quit working so here we are.
The old version I was using would let me ctrl + + my viewing window and SAVE it. Now everytime I open a window in FF it goes to default...so now I'm stuck with a browser I don't like compared to previous versions AND I can't see the print in the windows FURTHER straining my eyes. Now every window I open I have to resize (Zoom) the webpage in...every...time...Why??? Why do ppl change things that were working just fine??? Why make something so hideous??
The older versions were just fine the way they were imo and thank you for them and I guess thx for trying on this version. Please consider going back to the older versions.

Sorry, I'm not sure why Firefox 6 is no longer remembering your zoom settings, but installing the '''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/ No Squint add-on]''' might help. No Squint provides options to remember zoom settings for specific web pages, or for all pages.

I don't see the photo extensions menu in ios8

WHen i open a photo in ios8 and then select "edit" I am supposed tomsee a "more" icon, but I don't have it on my screen

When you open photos in your camera roll and hit edit - that allows you to edit the picture.
Look at the bottom you should 3 three icons an arrow pointing up a heart and a trash icon.
Select the arrow - and select the option you want.

ITunes Store email: "A new version of the book is available to you at no charge."

I got an email from Apple today stating that an update to a book I recently purchased ("Inside Apple") is available. The email states to delete the book from my library then redownload the book from store. The email doesn't state what changes have been made nor does it say if I will lose any bookmarks or annotations. If I delete the book and redownload, I will lose any notes, bookmarks, etc, right?

As logn as your bookmarks and notes are being synced to iCloud then it should be OK. I recently replaced one of my books as there was a problem with it that the publisher addressed by reuploading and my place and bookmarks were preserved. I didn't have any notes to worry about.
If the notes & bookmarks are important enough not to want to lose then backup the device first so that restoring it would also restore that data, and run your own test on another book.

Can't download or update through app store since the new version

For a couple of weeks now since the new itunes update i have no longer been able to update or download apps through the appstore on my iphone4. When i go to purchase and i go to enter my password, after one or 2 digits it disappears. I have credit in the system so there is not problem there. Seems to be the update. Not happy, please fix this!!

I've been a RIM and a BlackBerry fan for about two and a half years now. Originally had a Pearl about two years ago and liked it a lot. I got the Torch 9800 last October (2010), and absolutely love it, and would rather have NO other phone--I still love the Torch and still use it now. And I am now considering getting a BlackBerry Playbook tablet.
It only seems though, that my luck is always that I buy something new and then soon after, a NEWER version is released, making my version obsolete. I am considering making a purchase of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet here in a few weeks. Is there going to be any newer version of it released that I should wait for instead, or something? Just trying to make sure I make the best decision in order to stay as up-to-date as I can.

There's been no announcement of a new version coming out, except for a LTE mobile network version, which hasn't surfaced yet. Other than that , RIM hasn't made any plans public.
