I've updated everything to it's latest versions (itunes10.4,iPad 4.3.5). What am I doing wrong? Someone please help!!!

I just got iOs 4.3.5, and I don't see the purchased tab in the App Store, or in iTunes. I do however see it in the iBooks app. Is this because I'm using the oringal iPad? I've tried a restart, and deleting it from the multi-task bar. Any ideas?

No. I have the original iPad and it all works for me. It always has.
Lets try this next. If you haven't downloaded anything since the iOS update why don't you download any free app - anything. Even free apps show up in the purchased tab. See if you download an app maybe it will reset something and the purchased tab will show up. It's worth a try and there are tons of free apps. You could try the same thing with any free iTunes content like the free single of the week or a free movie trailer - just to see if the tab shows up.

What's the origin of this external drive? It sounds very much like it's a Windows-formatted (NTFS) drive which Macs can't write to. If you can, copy the files off the drive, reformat it as Mac format (using Disk Utility) and copy the files back. If you need to continue writing to it from a Windows PC, you should format it ExFAT in Disk Utility.

Cannot see the "purchased tab" in iTunes app

A week ago, my iPhone 4 was accidently removed and deleted from my iCloud account, which means all the content was removed from it. And ofcourse i was not prepared, but i was stupid enough to not backup my music and all that stuff. And my music was gone. Then i found this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 , where it's described how to locate and redownload your music from iTunes. But this tab is not showing up anywhere on my iPhone. And neither on my iPad (3rd gen). Any suggestion? :-)
Btw my iPhone 4 is running iOS 5.1.1

Try this from iTunes on a computer
Make sure itunes is up to date, click Help > Check for update if you are on windows.
When you click on iTunes Store in iTunes, and the store pulls up, make sure you are signed in to the itunes store (Should see your appleid or "Sign IN" at the top right of the store)
once you are signed in, the purchased tab is listed on the right with a big blue "NEW" bubble next to it
use that to download any missing content to your computer, and then sync it to the phone
if you do not see the purchased tab on the phone then you are not up to date with your os software, or you are looking in the wrong place

Yes I am looking in the app store. When I look in Itunes on my computer and look at purchased apps it is there. And when I go on my other device and look at apps purchased all apps are there.
The new ipad doesn't show any apps purchased when I click on apps purchased and when I search the app store it doesn't show it is purchased. You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.

Trying to locate my purchases but I don't have a "purchased" menu option

I'm having this problem on my computer.
My itunes on my macbook shows a "Purchased" menu under STORE (right below "Ping") where I can download old purchases for any kind of item (songs, apps, ect)
I can't, however, see this in my friend's Windows PC. I'm tryng to help him recover his apps without having to redowload them one by one after his iPod update wiped out everything in it.
Any idea why I can't see this and how to make it appear?

If you are using an iOS device, "iTunes Radio" is located under the music app, not iTunes.
If you are trying to acess iTunes Radio from your Mac or PC, make sure you are updated to the latest iTunes, 11.1.0

How do I turn on home share on iPad air. I don't see the option when opening iTunes app

I have a new iPad air. Bought the Apple TV box too. When I open the iTunes App Store I don't see any options to activate home share. All I see are all the usual options i.e. order movies, music, etc. Frustrated.

You have a 1G iPod. You need at least iOS 2.0 to get apps. The last update for the 1G is 3.1.3 that you get here:

I cannot recover My itnes purchased music from the recovery section. more than half the tracks are missing in the Camilo sesto 20 exitos.

I have the same problem - they AREN'T hidden. They aren't visible on computer, iPad or iPhone with match on. Obviously something screwed in the purchase history. Even if I have backups they will count against the 25,000 track limit for iTunes in the cloud - which is a bit of an issue as I have 24,997 non-purchased track already.
A bit of an issue for someone who's bought a lot from iTunes over the years - and not helped by being unable to get an answer from support. Oddly if I switch match off a few of them become available.
Any suggestions - apart from contact support (I'm still waiting) - appreciated
