I don't want beats audio

I recently bought this laptop (HP ENVY Sleekbook 6) and can't help but notice that Beats audio is tampering with the audio levels. (bass, treble etc...)
If I turn the Beats audio off, it tampers with the audio more by reducing the bass to stupidly small amounts. I just want normal audio, and hear songs how they were meant to be heard.
Is there any way I can get rid of Beats audio and just have normal audio like all the other laptops have?

Try this:
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'.
Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button.
Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'.
Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.

How do I transfer multiple clips to my sequence, Video only, I don't want the Audio.

I used Ctrl + A in my bin to select all clips, I drag it to my sequence but it puts both audio and video, all I want is the video, and the Source Track Selection only shows when selecting one clip.

Double-click the Desert Footage bin to open it. There are a series of short shots in this bin.
1. Click the Icon View button on the bin to see thumbnails for the clips.
2. Drag and drop the thumbnails in the bin to position them in the order you would like them to appear in the sequence.
3. Make sure the Desert Footage bin is selected. Select all of the clips in the bin by pressing Control + A (Windows) or Command + A (Mac OS).
4. Drag and drop the clips into the sequence, positioning them on the Video 1 track right at the beginning of the Timeline, above the music clip.

What do you think its trying to say? When i follow the instructions, it overwrites the audio.

hmm, well, I like it but some member at my German board noticed, that any new clip has its (short) audio-fade-in.
You can set to 'Manual/0 sec' ... but for each clip, not as a 'preset' for all.
any expert any idea, which internal plist to edit to set that 'fix' to a 0-sec-fade?

Beats audio disappeared

I recently upgraded my h8-1214 to Windows 8. Everything was working fine except for a really annoying piano sound that played everytime my microphone was accessed. This happened on Windows 7 and I fixed it before by reinstalling the drivers from the HP website. I tried it this time on Windows 8 and it just tells me I dont meet the system requirements. I tried the drivers under 8 and 7 and both gave me the same error message. The first time I uninstalled the drivers they reinstalled as "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" and I tried to get rid of those for a second attempt and now the drivers automatically reinstalled as "High Definition Audio Device" and now it doesnt work at all.
Now that I think about it that wasnt how I fixed the piano sound in the first place. Where can I find the right drivers to get beats audio back?

Here is the only sound driver provided by HP for Win 8. The specs don't list Beats audio. Look at the section titled "Sound / Audio.

Hey there tjbliven,
It sounds like you are not able to use the dictation feature of iOS 8, becuase the microphone icon is missing. It seems to me like Siri may be turned off, which would cause the icon to not be there:
Siri settings - iPhone
To set options for Siri, go to Settings > General > Siri. Options include:
Turning Siri on or off
That should get the dictation feature back for you.

I Don't Want "Creating Overview" For audio when Opening A Project

when opening a project , is there a way to turn creating overview off? i have it turned off when recording already. i don't want to have to wait when booting up project , to wait for audio overview that i don't need

OK, here's what I'd suggest...
1. Find the Apple Loops folder on your system. On my system it's in:
HD > Library > Audio > Apple Loops
There's another in:
HD > Library > Audio > Apple Loops > Apple > Apple Loops for Soundtrack Pro
2. CMD-I on these folders and see who the 'owner' is. If the name listed is not the name of your home folder, then unlock the lock and change the owner to the name-of-your-home-folder.
3. Click the disclosure triangle by "Details:" and then, after you've changed the owner, click "Apple to enclosed items"
From that point on you should not be getting the error message.
HOWEVER... I've found that sometimes the waveform overview for certain "FX" (as listed in the Apple Loops browser within Logic) will not be rendered. That's a topic for another day though...

Did you already load the audiobook manually (by dragging it to the shuffle)? To confirm that the audiobook is on the shuffle...
Select the shuffle in the iTunes sidebar. If the sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Click the small triangle to the left of the shuffle name (in the sidebar) to drop down its content list, indented below the shuffle. Click on Audiobooks there. To the right, your audiobook(s) should be listed.
NOTE: if you don't see Audiobooks on the content list, there are no audiobooks on the shuffle.
When you turn ON the shuffle, you are playing from the default All Songs list. Audiobooks (and podcasts) do not play from the All Songs list. You need to use VoiceOver to select the audiobook from the playlist menu. This document explains how to set up and use VoiceOver on your shuffle

Hello tunasalad. I understand you are experiencing sudden issues with Beats Audio. I can definitely try and help you with that!
First, since the issue randomly stopped working, I would perform a System Restore. You can use this to return the computer to a point where Beats Audio was working. You can reference this website which will explain how to do this.
If the System Restore does not resolve the issue, continue through the website I suggested. It will instruct you on how to Refresh the computer. This can also resolve the issue.
If the issue is not yet resolved, please go in Control Panel and uninstall "IDT Audio". Afterward, download the latest version of these drivers and install them. You can locate these drivers here.
Please respond to this post when you complete these instructions. If the issue is not resolved, please explain what happened after every step. This way I can assist you better. I'm only here to help!

Start up error and beats audio crackling after realtech driver update

I am having several issues.
If I plug in a external hard drive, the OS will not start and goes to "press esc for start up menu" in lower left corner on a black screen. I press esc and it goes to boot options. I have done what HP states and hard started my computer twice and it did not help, and I have found no other suggestion to try and fix this. I have tried everything, including a system recovery and it still goes to the start up menu options. If I disconnect the external, it will still appear, but the operating system will start up after a few seconds. Why do I have to disconnect my external to start OS. And for some reason, my external has been seated in the hardrive section of my computer, instead of the removable storage devices in my computer.
Also, after updating realtech driver, my beats audio speakers pops and cracks. I tried to roll back driver, but no changes. Please help. I dont want to go thru the trouble of sending my computer back for repair. This is really upsetting!!!! I cannot play any videos or music, because of the crackling. Why did it do that, and is it fixable. My laptop has not been jarred or dropped in any manner to have caused any damage. It started after the driver update, and even tho I rolled back the driver, it still does this.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 17t-f000 Notebook and issues with Beats Audio and startup issues. The startup looks at the USB as one of your Boot options. So it can not load anything until it know that this is not a boot device.
You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings which could resolve the issue with the sound.
Here is a fix that has helped others.
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers.
4. Click properties.
5. Click the advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.

Envy beats/audio software error 0xc0000006

Hello! I am new to the forum and I have come to ask for help. I am trying to install the software for my new vinyl cutter/plotter but am wondering if we even have the correct hookups. I have photographed the back of the PC and labeled the items we may have an issue with. I've contacted the plotter company but they are not responding. As you can see, we needed to have an adapter to even hook up the monitor. A gal from Best Buy told me I had to special order a cord online from someone who sells "them. Just goodle vinyl cutter" she said. The guy from Radio Shack said it was a simple fix and sold me a $25 adapter for a USB port, which is not working for me. I don't think we have it correct yet. Is there anyone who help me figure this out?
