I don't want my contacts on all the devices that have iCloud.

I want to be able to have contacts on my phone and not on all the devices too??

You can go to Settings > iCloud on each device and turn Contacts on or off as you wish for that specific device.

How to sign out of all the devices that have my apple id?

For example: on an iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud, then tap Delete Account.
"Deleting" the account is a bit of a misnomer because that action only deletes the account from the device. It can just as easily be added again. It is not possible for users to delete their iCloud account from Apple's records.
For a checklist of all the Apple products and services that use your Apple ID refer to this document.

How to get my contacts from ipad to iphone?  (I don't want any contacts to come from my PC via icloud, only from the ipad.)

Well, if both your iPad and iPhone have ios 7 you could AirDrop the contacts. This may seem time consuming if have a lot of contacts as you have to select all the ones you want to transfer. But it is useful if you want transfer only specific contacts and not the whole contact list. Oh, and another thing: your iPad has to be a 4th generation or higher and your iPhone has to be 5th generation or higher.

  • I want to put my sim card from my iPhone 4 into a family members iPhone 4s. We have both backed up our phones to our computers.  I don't want his contacts listed on the phone while I use it, just mine.  How do I remove them off the iPhone 4s.

I want to put my sim card from my iPhone 4 into my husbands iPhone 4s, which he is not using.  We have both backed up our phones on to our own computers.  I don't want his contacts left on the phone while I use it.  How do I remove his info including music, photos etc from the iPhone 4s before I insert my own sim card.

You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device.

  • Assigning View permission to all the users that have been selected in contact selector - SP 2010, InfoPath 2010

I have a SharePoint InfoPath 2010 browser form with item level security. Only submitter
and approvers has access to the form.  This form contains a people picker that is populated with the names of attendees
for the meeting they attended (which
I am able to store in Field2 below). I want to allow attendees to be able to view (grant view permission) the InfoPath form. Field 2 has the users in form of domain\user1;domain\user2; etc. Following the below step, I am getting error when I ADD or REPLACE
permission on current item. How do I go about assigning view permission to all the users that have been selected in contact selector?
    Jitu

    Hi ,
i understand that the text box and the people picker hold multiple user names and you want to grant user permission based on the user in the text box.
I have a test based on your description, the results are: When there are multiple users in the text box, the workflow will throw an error'Error Occurred'.It is the same with the people picker column.
You need to limit the peopel picker to only allow to select one user,in this way the text box will only hold one user. Then you can use the people picker or the text box to grant user permission.

  • My iMac holds my main iTunes account.  How do I find out a list of all the devices that are authorized from this computer?

My iMac holds my main iTunes account and it shows 4 devices are authorized to play iTunes.  I can only name 3.  How do I find out a list of all the devices that are authorized from this computer?

I don't believe this is possible, but you can deauthorize all your computers and start over if you are concerned.
    See here

  • I'm swapping my iphone 4S for a iphone 5, I can enjoy all the apps that have old phone?

I'm swapping my iphone 4S for a iphone 5, I can enjoy all the apps that have old phone?

Just be sure to do a complete sync using iTunes and storing the backup locally on the computer. A local copy of every app will be stored, together with the rest of the stuff from the phone. Later, when you get the new phone, plug it in immediately with iTunes running: it will recognize that the phone is new and offer to restore from the stored backup. Those apps that don't get installed automatically as part of the restore, you can manually install from the local copy.
Works flawlessly on a Mac. I guess same thing should occur on a Windoze PC, but I don't sleep with the Enemy.
Edit: be sure the computer has enough juice to finish the restore. On another thread, a participant tried to do the above, computer died midway, screwed the process up.

  • Shutting down my iPhone 4S no longer removes all the apps that have accumulated on the multitasking bar. What happened?

Maybe I imagined it, but I could have sworn that holding down the home button and sleep button at the same time until the slider icon appears at the top of the screen, and then engaging the slider icon,  completely shuts down your iPhone and also removes all the apps that have accumulated in the multitasking bar.  But, that does not work anymore on my iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 (9A405).  The iPhone shuts down, but the apps in the multitasking bar remain after you turn the phone back on.  Did I imagine this feature in the past, or has something happened that no longer enables this functionality?  Closing all those open apps in the multitasking bar one at a time is a PIA.

On belhalf of my fellow volunteers, the answer is, "We'll try our best."
My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals.  Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice.

  • Is there a way to print something showing all the purchases that have been made and what the total cost is?

Is there a way to print something showing all the purchases that have been made and what the total cost is?

While it is not possible to directly print your iTunes account purchase history within the iTunes Store, you can take a screnshot of your purchase history on your computer, and then print that screenshot.
The following article explains how to review your purchase history:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727
This articles explains how to take a screenshot on Mac OS X:

    and this does on windows:

  • Why does the itunes wifi show it is connected to my PC for all the devices we have when my husband has his own Apple ID, since we updated to Icloud with our own ID's

since upgrading to Icloud, all the devices in our house show in Itunes Wifi they are all linked to my PC, although we have set them up with our own individual accounts, my husband is unable to sync his Iphone, Ipod & ipad to the music in his itunes, as it wants to connect to mine any one any ideas

You can continue to use the current AppleID for iTunes, but your husband can create a new AppleID to use to create a new iCloud account that will be his own and not overlap with yours.  If you do not have another email address to use for an AppleID, just get a free Gmail account and use that.
You can have as many AppleIDs as you want (or at least, as many as you have email addresses for).  You can use a separate AppleID for the store, another for iCloud, and even another for iMessage if you wish.
You will want to keep the current one as the shared one for the store as all your previous purchases are permanently tied to it, and thus you need that AppleID to update or redownload your current purchased content.

  • I have my home movies on VHS, what devices are good for putting them on iMovie, all the devices I have seen are PC only

I want to put video from VHS to iMovie what devices work with  a Mac? All the ones I have seen are PC only.

    Hi
There are many to chose from and at different prices and functions.
I got an CANOPUS ADVC-300 - now named Grass Valley ADVC-300 - but can only be bought secondhanded as it's discontinued.
    AND - it's Expensive !
Still to me it's been of 100% value due to it's functions. It can repair broken TimeBase-Code and that means that I can import a LONG VHS tape recorded in EP-mode and with drop-outs.
Cheaper devices = Import will halt at every drop out frames AND Audio will go out of sync.
    • Tedious Baby-sittings when Importing (and multiple re-starting Import)
    • Audio goes out of sync. Tedious labor to by hand correct this !
Then my A/D-box also came with some rather advanced Picture Enhancing programs/settings.
So in all - I Love it.
BUT Surely there are much cheaper solutions for those that
    • makes short VHS Imports
    • New VHS tape Without any Drop-outs (less than a Year old)
    • Patience of an Angle
OBSERVE ! - If You talk about BOUGHT VHS-tapes as from Disney - FORGET IT - NO A/D-box can break the CopyProtection. And even a theoretical discussion about this is FORBIDDEN in this Forum - as it is a GLOBAL forum and just the discussion is forbidden in countries as Germany etc.
    Yours Bengt W

  • What are all the duies that have to be performed by an oracle dba

    hi
i am new to oracle and i want to know the duties that have to be performed by an oracle apps dba?
how many years of exp is required to become an dba?
is it compulsory that i should know plsql to become an oracle dba?
    Thank you

There duties of a DBA will vary depending on the job role and to some degree the organization in which you work. There are some core duties that you should be to handle no matter the role. Some of those duties would be:
    Backup and Recovery
    Backup and Recovery
    Backup and Recovery
    Database creation
    User/schema Management
    Database and application (sql) tuning
Knowledgeable of the Oracle process and memory structures
Knowledgeable of the OS being used
    Good people skills.
    and Backup and Recovery
The above is by no means an exhaustive list, but areas that I look when I am interviewing a DBA. Being an Apps DBA, you will also no doubt need have duties that are centered around the support of the Apps.
The multiple listings of backup and recovery are subtle hint that you should be very familiar with the concept as it applies to Oracle no matter your role.

  • I don't want my contacts on all of my devices

I recently updated my iPhone, iPad and my daughters iPod touch so that we have the new operating system and iCloud.  Although I want my daughter to have my calendar, I don't want to merge my contacts with hers or have her receive all my photos.  I've tried changing the settings but the contacts were already merged.  She has now gone through and deleted my contacts from her iPod touch...is this the only way to do it?  It's very frustrating!!

is this the only way to do it?
yes. Turn off "contacts" in the icloud settings, but keep the rest of the wanted sync options.
    No workaround other then that.
