Go to Menu Bar-View-Toolbars-then unclick your named toobar from list or disable bookmarks toolbar before downloading and installing new toolbars, hope this helps

  • Why can't I get my bookmarks into my folders? Everything goes into Unsorted Bookmarks and they're stranded there. I don't want a new toolbar, I just want my bookmarks in my folders.

    This is frustrating me and I'm ready to abandon Firefox. The help section and tutorials don't help at all with the latest version of Firefox.

    If you create a bookmark by clicking the star, it does go into Unsorted bookmarks. If you click the star again, you should be able to move it into a folder. By default, the button that says Unsorted Bookmarks shows the most recently used folders. You should be able to move the bookmark to any folder using the down caret to the right of the button.
    If you are working on the organizer (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) or the sidebar, then drag and drop should work.
    Does that work? Am I missing the question?
    Regarding the knowledge base, volunteers submit and approve updates, so it's a bit behind.

  • I DON'T want a new window!!!

    I want to open a link in a new tab - I DON'T want a new window, even if the page specifies a width or height. I can't believe that FF would try to think for me and override MY prefs - I though that stupidity was left to MS! Even Safari 4 (4.1.2) gives me the option to always open in a new tab no matter what. A web site doesn't deserve to take over my browser, and any good site will be designed or programmed to handle any width/height.
    Any way to hack this setting? Or do we wait and hope that FF returns control to the user?

    Unless the poster states exactly what plan they are on the only reasonable reply was the short and sweet one I gave. If they continue as is, without looking into plan changes (again no plan was listed) there is no reduction since paying off the subsidized device.

    Since there is more than one plan available and since there is one plan available that does qualify for a discount once a subsidized phone is paid off, your original reply is not and could never be 100% correct, maybe 50% correct. The only reasonable response (also short and sweet) is "It depends on your current plan and/or whether you are willing to switch to the one plan that is eligible for a discount, otherwise no you might not get a discount."

    I had a message come up that my Norton Identity Safe toolbar was corrupting my computer. There were more things than just that in the message. I told them to remove it by my clicking yes.     I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.)     How can I do this? I currently have my TOC chapters listed as Apples, Oranges, and so on.  But my text chapters begin something like this:

    I have "Apples" with header 1, "Oranges" with header 1, etc., so that very nicely in the TOC it is listing my topics as the chapters. However, within the body of the document, 1 appears on one page and "Apples" begins at the top of a new page, separated from "1"; 2 appears one one page and "Oranges" appears at the top of the next page (separated from the "2), and so on.
    Because of the way the book is structured, I need to have the chapter numbers on a top line and the chapter topic beneath it. (The book is further subdivided, such as 1.3a, 1.3b, etc.)
    What I would like is for the TOC to indicate my chapters as Apples, Oranges, etc., but for the chapter text to begin as indicated above.

    Peter, I styled the wording of the chapter title (e.g. apples) with my heading1 styling and my sub-chapter titles were heading2. The text is a different font, different color, different size, different everything.  It seems that the epub program has an automatic format to start a new page with each new header. That's what I'm trying to work around. (Originally I styled both the numeral and the chapter title as "heading 1" and it gave each a different page!)
    I am in the process of removing all headers and styling everything manually (which is how it was originally) just to avoid this problem.
    I'm having my e-book done through a publisher (this will be self-published), so I'll be giving them a .docx and they'll convert it to .html (filtered) then .epub. so I need something that creates my Table of Contents as I'd like it, without messing up the text of the book.
    I can give them a list of what I want in the Table of Contents, and have them manually do it, but the TOC may or may not come out how I want it to come out. My preference is to have something automatic. I wanted the sub-units (heading 2) in the TOC but that will never work since I have over 200 of them and it's too much for them to do manually.  It's a very slow process.

    I'm trying to help a friend activate the BT Sport app. They have BT Infinity.
    I've downloaded the app to an android device. I enter email address/password and I get taken to the activation process.

    The website then checks our details. It then takes me to an order page where I can order one of two types of BT Home Hubs one is free, one costs money. If I select the free one we get taken to an order page where it adds a £6.95 delivery charge. We do not want a router, we have a perfectly functional one. We just want to activate BT Sport on the account but can't seem to without going through this ordering process.

    Are you using an add-on to replace the blank new tab with your home page? Perhaps this is controlled by a feature of the add-on?

    I have exported a pdf document which is a table full of text in columns (by month). The conversion seems to react randomly so that in some places several lines of text in a column are converted to just one cell (great, just what I want) and then in others, a block of text gets split into a row for each line of text --- very annoying ...
    What would make this happen? Is there a workaround so that you can tell the conversion how to react to blocks of text?

    For optimal export the PDF needs to be a well-formed tagged PDF.
    The basic PDF page content has no format, styling, rows, columns,  etc. 
    Just objects painted to the PDF page at a specified  location. 
    You can return to the authoring file, clean that up to support accessible PDF output, then post process the PDF with Acrobat XI Pro to finalize making the PDF PDF/UA compliant. Export of that would be better.
    You can manually tag the PDF such that it is PDF/UA compliant than export from that . This would provide you better export. 
    You can clean up the export you already have.

    Tell me EXACTLY how to FORCE Fox4 to allow me to have MORE THAN ONE tab open to any given web page.
