I don't want to apps stored on my PC.

App take up too much space on my PC.  With iCloud, I no longer want or need to sync apps on my pc.  But if I uncheck sync apps, it says my device apps will be wiped.  Apple, why won't you let me do this.  I thought your motto was, "it just works".  Well, not for me.

I have 201 Apps on my PC (it doesn't matter which ones they are) and they occupy 2.47GB of disk space.
That doesn't really seem like a lot of space, are you really that desparate to reduce the amount of storage being used?
Of course, another way of looking at this is that Apple do allow you to do want you want, but for every action there is a conseqeunce. If you want the Apps on your iPod (which is a copy of the contents of your iTunes Library) then you have to store the originals somewhere.
You may think I'm not particularly sympathetic to your thoughts on this. You'd be right.

    Who can I call?
How can I get the app off my phone?
How do I get my money back from something I wouldn't have ordered?

You cannot call anyone.  You contact them as everyone else does:  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
You delete the app as you do any other app.  Hold an icon until they wiggle.  Tap the "x".  This is covered in the manual.

  • Don't Want Mail App as a Default app

If I am answering an email on yahoo or hotmail or gmail and I click a "mailto" link, Mail pops up as the default app as opposed to me being able to respond inside whatever I am presently using. How do I keep this from happenning? Thanks for the help to all who respond to this.
    Louis

    Ernie,
    Thanks for your reply.
Well I am not trying to use any e-mail clients at this moment. All I am doing is using hotmail, or yahoo mail for e-mail. This little problem happens only when I click on an embedded link inside of an email that I recieved, that is prompting me to repond via email, i.e. "click here to email tech support". If I do this the Mail client in OS X comes popping up when all I wanted was the "compose email" section of yahoo or hotmail to actually come up so I can type the email. Does this help clarify my issue? Thanks again for your help.

  • Don't want ipad apps on iphone

How do I keep my ipad and iphone apps separate? When I add an app to my ipad it shows up on my phone as well.

Check Settings -> iTunes and App Store (in my language it is this choice, see if you find something similar) and uncheck the automatic download for Applications.

  • I don't want the apps I download on my iPad to appear in my iPhone automatically. How can I do that?

All apps I download on my iPad automatically show up in my iPhone. Of course only the ones which are available for iPhone as well.
Which settings should I edit in order not to make this happen?

Use these instructions to disable automatic downloads.

  • I don't want GMail Messages Stored on Hard Drive Through Mac Mail

I recently updated my Mac to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and added my 3 GMail accounts to Mac Mail, causing over 10,000 emails to be downloaded and stored on my hard drive. This used over 10 GB of space. After deleting the GMail accounts from Mac Mail, my hard drive space did not increase. Are the GMail messages still stored on hard drive?

In Finder, choose the "Go" Menu from the top menubar, select go to folder and type ~/Library/Mail
This should reveal your Mail folder, which you can delete to remove all the emails.
Then go to Mail and set up the gmail accounts again, but this time in the advanced tab change "Keep copies of messages for offline viewing" to either "All Messages, but omit attachments" or "Dont keep copies of any messages"

  • I Don't Want Synced Apps

Is there a way, just like how u can not have your music synced to your ipod and you just drag the music to the ipod to add it, to have the apps do that? I'm asking because I am getting a new computer soon and I wouldn't be able to have any new apps if it would interfere with the previously downloaded apps on this computer.
If there is no way to just drag-and-add apps, then how can I get the old apps on my new computer or what do I do to be able to have my old and new apps?

Yes, you should Login to your new computer and click the "Check Purchases" button under the "Store" section. This should let you get all your apps to the new computer.
    Hope this helps,
    Darie.

  • Friend's apps staying in my itunes and I don't want them

I plugged my friends iphone into my computer to help her backup, then update her phone. Now when I plug my phone in her apps are still on my computer and want to get on my phone when I sync. I tried to delete them from my "apps" section in iTunes, but I still feel as though my computer wants to send them onto my phone.
I have ensured that I'm logged into my itunes and app store, on both my Mac and my phone.
I'm not sure what to do so I can sync my phone and just have my apps on there. I don't want her apps on my comp at all because I don't want to deal with them!
    Thanks for your help

If you don't use the Rating stars you can do the following: select all of the photos in the trash and Control-click to bringup the contextual menu.  There will be the 5 stars for the ratings.  Select either 5 or 1 to apply that rating to the photos.
Next create a smart album with the criteria:
selecting the number of start you applied to those in the Trash bin.
Move the photos from the Trash bin to the Library and the Smart Album will immediately be populated with those photos.
You can now export the photos you want via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option. when you're done you can delete the photos as you normally would.  NOTE: if you have a large amount, well over 100, delete them in batches of 100.
NOTE:  if you haven't edited the photos the version you get when you drag from the iPhoto window to the desktp is the same as the original file. But if it's been edited you'll get the modified version.

  • How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses  "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear.  Help please!

How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses  "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear.  Help please!

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

  • I want to reinstall an app, but I don't want to load the app's data from iCloud. What do I do?

I want to reinstall an app [it's a game], but the thing is, I've already backed up the data in iCloud, so all it does is after reinstalling the app, it still has all the data I had when I backed it up in the cloud. But I don't want that data, I just want to reinstall the app like it is my first time installing the app. How do I do it?
-I'm using an iPad 2 and iOS 7

What app is it? Game Data is not stored in iCloud except when restoring from an iCloud backup entirely.  If you keep getting you old game data, it's probably from game center.  Try logging out of game center in Settings > GameCenter before reinstalling the game.

    Remove documents from iCloud
You can remove documents stored in iCloud by deleting them from any of your devices that have iCloud set up for Documents & Data. Removing your documents from iCloud reduces the amount of iCloud storage space you’re using.
Remove iCloud documents from your iOS device
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage.
Under Documents & Data, tap the app that has a document you want to delete, then tap Edit.
Remove iCloud documents from your Mac
Open iCloud preferences, then click Manage.
Select an app on the left, then select one or more documents on the right.
Click Delete (below the list of apps).
You can also remove documents from iCloud by moving them to your Mac with OS X v10.8 or later. For instructions, use go to the Finder on your Mac, choose Help > Help Center, then search for “save documents.”

You can't remove the built-in root certificates, but you can remove their trust bits via the Edit button to prevent Firefox from using them as a trusted root certificate.
Intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored when visiting websites that show as "Software Security Device" should never has trust bits set.
Note that it is the responsibility of a server to send all required intermediate certificates to make it possible to build a certificate chain that ends with a built-in root certificate.

  • I DON'T want to sync my apps, why do I have to?

I had large apps downloaded (TomTom GPS, etc) on my 3GS, and I never had them backed up. I got an iPhone 4 today, and for some reason, when I re-downloaded and did my first sync, it is making me sync them to my MacBook.
I don't want GB's upon GB's of apps on my computer, because they take up too much space that I don't need/want on my MacBook.
I've tried manually managing music/videos, un-clicking sync apps, EVERYTHING, and no matter what, my apps keep on re-syncing to my iPhone, and then getting deleted when I don't want to sync them, help me out or I'll probably end up selling this thing (which I don't want to do)!

Very few apps - very few are 500MB in size. Most apps are very small in size. If you have 4 apps on your iPhone now with each being 500MB in size, I'd like to know the apps. A GPS app will be much larger than the overwhelming majority of apps since maps are included with the app.
If you don't have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, an app downloaded with your iPhone should not be copied to your iTunes library the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
If you don't have the apps available in your iTunes library, if you restore your iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, you will need to re-download every app on your iPhone again one by one and you will probably lose all 3rd party app settings and any data created and stored by a 3rd party app.
