I don't want to have songs that are in my icloud show up on my phone but i still want them on my icloud is there anyway to do this?

I don't like having songs that are just in my icloud on my iphone, I don't want to delete them from my icloud completely though in case I want to later add them to my computer on another device. Is there anyway to just prevent them from showing up on my iphone?

Try to delete them (swipe left or right and hit the remove button) and then re-download them. If that doesn't work then restart your phone.

i am having a similar problem, one to two songs per purchased albums will not delete, they will not swipe like all other songs on each album they will not sync away when not checked they are still there after manually managing and choosing to not show purchased items, they refuse to be deleted, cant figure it out

iTunes Match has been making a bunch of mistakes in the matching, like substituting clean for explicit, Spanish versions for English, etc. Unfortunately, it cannot be trusted. Make sure that you have your own backup of all your music.

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

Almost all my songs play except for about 8 or 9.

If only some of the songs on an album are giving you the authorisation message, that suggests those song files are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

ICloud - I want to have songs on my Mac and remove them from the cloud. How do I do this?

My iTunes match account has the maximum (25,000?) songs in it. It was created before I had the 25.168 songs that I now have in my iTunes local library.
I'd like to add songs to some playlists, but I cannot because "iCloud playlists can only contain songs from your iCloud music library."
How can I add these songs to my iCloud music library? Do I have to remove songs from iCloud before I upload new ones? If so, how do I do that without deleting the songs from my local machine?
I have plenty of songs that I don't need to exist on iCloud, but I still want them on my local machine.

I'm not trying to put the music from my old ipod onto my new computer!!!! I don't really want to do that!
I would like simply to see if there is a way to put the new music from my new computer onto my old ipod without erasing all my existing music that I have on there.

im presuming that you ar ebringing up the artist folder within your music folder somewhere and it doesnt have the songs you want?
if so, the newly downloaded songs might not be in folders yet and could be at the very bottom of the music folder which has all of your artists?
alternatively, you could bring up your start menu and do a search for one of the songs, then right click open containing folder and go from there.
