I don't want to show up as a contact in my own phone... DUH!
I'm not going to call myself so I don't want to see my name and contact info on my phone.
I tried deleting my contact card in Address Book but then when I want to use iChat it makes a new one for me before I can use iChat again.
I know you can just make groups and sync those instead of all of them but I dont like that. It seems to add more clutter to the phone and thats part of the reason I have an iPhone... no clutter, straightforward and elegant.
So, my question is- "is there any way to make it so I don't show up in my own phone as a contact without deleting my contact card or syncing with groups?"

I have the same issue...and for me, when it added me as a contact to my phone, it replaced my husband's photo in his contact info with mine (my Mac avatar), I think because we have the same home phone number (obviously!). When I deleted myself as a contact from the phone, all of his stuff magically reappeared correctly in his contact info.
This doesn't happen when I sync with my Vista machine - only my Mac.

I have a new computer. I've installed iTunes. I don't want to lose the calendar and contact data nor the apps currently on my iPod Touch. Will that happen when I sync?
I don't think so. When you open iTunes, go to "Store" on the top and click "Authorize this Computer." Type in your email and pass, and click authorize. Then, when you connect you iPod for the first time, it should tell you "this iPod is synced with another computer, blah blah." It should give you the option to either "Erase and Sync," or "Transfer Purchases." Click "Transfer Purchases and your content should go into your new iTunes.
If this doesn't work and you still have your old computer there's another thing you can do. I know this works on windows, but I'm not sure how to do it on a Mac, maybe someone can offer some help. Assuming you have Windows, go to Start>Music>iTunes Media and you should see Music, Apps, Movies, etc. This is all the stuff in your iTunes. If you have an external hard drive or your iTunes library is small in terms of file size, you can do this in one go. Transfer the content (as much as you can fit at one time) onto the external storage. Then, put that content on your new computer on the desktop or somewhere where you can find it again. Open iTunes, and folder by folder highlight everything in the folder and drag it into the iTunes library. It should say "importing (content)" or something and then it should be in your library. If you look in your Music folder again, there should now be another "iTunes" folder there with all of your content back in it.

I have an iPhone and sync it with iTunes. Just got my wife an iPhone also. Is it possible to have 2 accounts in iTunes 1 for my wife and 1 for myself? I don't want to mess up things like contacts on either phone.
The best is to create another Windows user profile(additional User Account) where each one of you can manage your own account, library, playlist Apps, Contacts etc,

Hide/Delete, do something with information I don't want to show - help!

I hope you can help me out.
I current have to submit pdfs to our auditors to backup financial information.
I have a 2 page document that I need to submit however, on the second page there is information that I do not want to show the auditors.
I am hoping for a way to hide the information with a rectangle and then fill it in with black (or white) or something like this so that they will not be able to see this information.
How can I do this?
I am using Adobe 9 Pro (the free trial version)
I have managed to put a rectangle around the information I want hidden, but can't figure out how to hide it. The pdf that I am using does weird things if I try to use the text tool and delete the text, so I was hoping for a quick and easy way to cover the information.

Armitage don't want to show workspace monitors!

i installed metasploit + armitage form official metasploit website. I registered it, configured everything correctuly(my friend helped me about database) and armitage starts fine, but I can't make it display Monitors on workspace as graphic picture of network. Here are pictures, maybe they can help

If you want to use Armitage, do not install Metasploit with the 4.5 installer.
Previous versions of the Metasploit installer separated Rapid7's commercial products and the open source programs. The 4.5 installer installs one environment shared by Rapid7's commercial and the community's open source interfaces. msfconsole and armitage still load, but it's a different environment. The teamserver script does not work in the environment setup by the new installer. On Linux, I've verified that Armitage loads and works, but you'll see syntax errors due to it trying to load "pro modules". I've seen reports that it does not load on Windows.
For now, use the 4.4 installer and run msfupdate. The 4.4 installer ships with the same dependencies as the 4.5 installer. msfupdate will give you the latest sourcecode for 4.5.
To uninstall, run: /opt/metasploit/uninstall
I suspect that these things are an easy fix. I'll keep you posted.

I don't want my iPhone with my Outlook Contacts

I have iTunes instaled in my company computer (windows). In that computer, I have outlook (and the outlook contacts).
Every time I sync my iPhone 5 with iTunes I get all those contacts in my iPhone contacts! And I dont want that!
I tried to unthick the box that says "syncronyze contacts with" but I lost all the contacts in my iphone
then I syncronized again the contacts with windows contacts and got the problem again.
the only solution I see is to delete all contacts that I dont want in the "Windows Contacts" folder but I'm not sure this will work because:
- I don't want to lose those contacts in my Outlook and
- I don't know if that folder will not syncronize with again with outlook and store the contacts again
Do you have any solution to my problem? I'm sure it's simple, but itunes and me are not the best friends

The first time I sync with this computer I got all the contacts from outlook in my phone. I deleted the contacts I didn't want in the phone and it was ok.
The next time I connected to itunes (I don't use itunes a lot...) I had the same problem!
Then, I tried to unthick the box that says "syncronyze contacts with..." and lost them all, so I synced again with Windows Contacts because all the contacts are there (the contacts from my phone, that I want, and the contacts from outlook, that I don't want in my phone)
the thing is, if I delete the contacts I don't want directly in Windows Contacts when I sync I will have no problem...(right?)

The ios 6 download takes up too much room. I don't want to install it, but I don't know how to get rid of the download. Any way to get rid if it?
There is no way to get rid of it now that it is earmarked for the phone. I can respect your choice to hold to Maps, but you will need to install eventually. While this may not matter to you, the Maps app has worked fine for me, however I live in the US and that could make a difference.

Downloaded apps using my iphone, now I want to sync my phone on my computer, but don't want to lose the apps that I've downloaded on my phone Help!
Connect the phone to your computer, but do not sync. Make sure iTunes is authorized to the same account that you bought the apps with. Then select "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes File menu. Once this finishes the apps will be on your computer, so you can sync safely.

If I create a contact from my call register it does not show up in my contacts on my Iphone but does show up in my icloud. Has anyone else had this happen?
Are you sure iCloud is turned on and that contacts is also turned on (Settings>iCloud) on the iPhone? Be sure the iPhone is not set to Airplane Mode.

I Don't Want TV Shows Downloaded to My Computer
I noticed that when I download TV shows from the iTunes store for my ATV that every time I get on iTunes through the computer it is synced to it automatically downloads the episodes to my computer. Is it possible to stop this from happening?
The ATV is intended primarily as a media player for iTunes files, it is not a storage device. Files you buy from the iTunes store will sync to iTunes on your computer by default. The only way to avoid this is to delete the files before you open iTunes again, but you will lose the files permanently if you do. Likewise, if they sync to your iTunes library and you delete them from there, they will be deleted from the ATV on the next sync.

I am loosing contacts from my iphone 4s ever since i have update IOS7 . This specifiaclly happens when my battery life goes less than 20%.
This has happend before couple of times. But with time & after swtiching my phone ON & OFF recovered conatcs. But this time nothing is helping. Lastly i tried to restore back-up from itunes. I was not even able to do that as it show backup corrupted.

I accidentally typed a wrong email address one time, and now it shows up every time I go to sign in. I don't want it showing ever, but don't want to necessarily disable (erase) this ability on all other sites.
