Recurring theme with the 4s losing alerts except for the phone ringing. Most complaints seem to center on the 7.1 upgrade. The fix is dodgy, putting in a charger, playing a you tube video then pulling out the charger and wiggling it until you get the sound back. When you get the sound back, the volume buttons start to work again. Alternate solutions involve cleaning the docking port with a toothbrush, running a pick over the electrodes etc.

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the Camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
My MacBook Pro has sound for files housed on my laptop (ITunes for example) but if I try to watch a web-based program like Hulu or Khan Academy there is no sound. How can I fix this? I was using wireless headphones a few days ago and it all worked fine but then the sound stopped on both the headphones and the computer. The video portion works fine, I just don't have any sound. I threw away the headphones and deleted them from the Bluetooth on the Macbook Pro but still I have no sound. Any ideas?

Imported Video is all black but audio still works

I have a Nikon V1. Whenever I shoot video using the 1080/60i setting and upload those video clips into Final Cut Pro X, they have no video, they just appear black.The audio works but there is a weird background noise that shouldnt be there. The main issue is that I can't use the video because it is all black.

You can get a "document expired" message if you use the back button to return to a specific page and the web site has instructed Firefox not to cache the page.<br />
Firefox tries to retrieve the page from the server, possibly by sending POST data. -

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). There are two places where vibrations can be set.
One is the Settings > Sounds
The other area is Settings > Notifications
If you have an app set to Alert, it may have a vibration set for it.

Are you asking this because your Apple ID password is requested before downloading the free game?
Downloading any app requires the password. Also required is a payment method filed with Apple. For free apps, games included, you will not be charged. -

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

So, I dropped my phone today on the cement, it works...with minor annoying glitches, has nasty bluish vertical lines and the picture is a tad distorted as well. :/ Does this mean I need to spend tons of money to get this fixed? Ahhhh! Help!
