    There is only one way to do this.
    Sign out of iCloud on the device. You will need to use the password for the Apple ID it's currently signed in as to do this. If you don't know it you will need to reset the password or get the original user to sign out.
    That is your only option. This is a security feature to prevent people stealing iPhones, erasing them and setting them up as their own.

    The Apple TV (with the exception of the Apple TV 1) does not sync, it streams everything from your library on your computer or from the internet.

    You need to be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 at the very least in order to sync your iPad with iTunes so you could update your Mac, if it can be updated, and if you care to do so.
    If that's not an option, you will have to find someone that can restore the device for you with their computer running iTunes or make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to restore the device for you.
    I hope that you have an iCloud backup, because you will lose everything on the device when it is restored.

    Also, I would not give up on the reset technique....holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. It takes about 10-15 seconds and sometimes just a little longer to get the logo to appear.

    Oh no! I'm sorry to see there's a lot of confusion here and data shared, x-rayDon. We can definitely work to fix. This happens when two devices share the same Apple ID, so she will need to reset hers. She can do so by assessing this link Apple - My Apple ID. You will need to decide who will keep the account if want separate Apple IDs since purchases cannot be shared unless you do Family Sharing.

    Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will  need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.

    The Help page you came here from gives you all the information; without the previous owner's password or his removing the phone from his list of devices you cannot proceed and I'm afraid your phone is useless.

    Under whose Apple ID were the apps that you are referring to purchased? If they are displaying her Apple ID and asking for her password when you are trying to update them, then that means they were purchased under her ID. They will continue to do that unless you delete them and purchase them again under your own Apple ID.

    it got me to another screen saying "Updating iCloud settings...."

    the next time it loaded fast and got me a new screen saying :

    and when I click on start using iphone, the iphone restarts itself and repeats the steps again !!!!!
    I've tried everything, restarting my iphone, doing the steps, respring, clicking on home and off button, EVERYTHING !!!!
    but it keeps redoing that stupid steps without any end
    please HELP ME!! I need my iphone back!!!

    Switch to folder view, grid mode (or if not grid mode, context menu of selected photos in filmstrip).
    If you want to permanently delete pictures whilst viewing a collection, consider splat-delete instead:

    Mac: Cmd-Shift-Option-Delete
