I dont jail break my ipod but it got stuck at a white screen.

i hold bown the power boutton and nothing works, help!

Also:
While holding the home button down and volume up button, push and hold the power off button and hold that until you see the apple sign.
If the iPod will not turn off, try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPod touch until it is fully charged.
That failing d oa restore, here's how:

  • I tried to start my mac up but it gets stuck on the white screen

Then when it's there the little circle goes round but it doesn't stop and just keeps going and then the computer overheats so we have to unplug it, what do i do to fix it and how do i do it

I would reboot while holding down the Option-Command- P-R keys all at once to reset the PRAM on your system, and see if that clears it.  If that doesn't solve it, assuming you actually are running Mac OS X 10.6.8, I would then recommend inserting your Original Installation Disk that came with your iMac when you bought it and run the Extended Apple Hardware Test two to three times to try and diagnose if it's a hardware problem.
    Hope this helps

  • Since the new iOS it keeps saying I've jail breaked my iPad but I have not done this

Since the new iOS it keeps saying I've jail breaked my iPad but I have not done this. Has anyone had this problem and how can I get rid of this?

You might try doing a restore using iTunes on a  computer - make a backup of your content, then restore to factory condition then restore the content.
If that does not clear the problem, you can attach to the computer/iTunes using the DFU mode:
    Power down the iPad.
Start iTunes on the computer and connect the USB end of the cable to the computer.
While holding the power button on the iPad connect the dock/lightning connector to the iPad and continue to hold the power button.
After three seconds keep holding the power button and start to hold the home button.
After ten seconds release the power button and continue holding the power button.
After twenty seconds more, release the home button.
You can now restore your iPad and see if that hasn't cleared the problem.
If that does not clear it, take the iPad to an Apple store genius bar for help.

  • I have and ipod touch 4th gen that has the white screen of death but my home button doesnt work. how do i reset it?

i have and ipod touch 4th gen that has the white screen of death but my home button doesnt work. how do i reset it?

Restore, if iTunes will let you.  Everything except the password will be restored.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  Be forewarned that it takes a long time.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    - Let the battery fully drain. The charge for an hour and see what happens,  Try resetting too:
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Connct to computer and restore if it shows in iTunes.
    - You can try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then trying to restore. See:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Also see:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
Frequenly the white scree is due to a hardware problem.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen. is stuck on the white screen and my lock button is broken

My ipod touch is stuck on the 'white screen of death' and every website says to hold down the lock/wake button and the home button to fix it. But my lock button is jammed. How do I fix it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • HT201210 I wanted to update my iPad 2 from 4.3 to the latest update but I got stuck in the restoring step. I couldn't restore the iPad

I wanted to update my iPad 2 from 4.3 to the latest update but I got stuck in the restoring step. I couldn't restore the iPad.
The error message"The iPad cannot be restored at this time because the iPad software update server couldn't be contacted or is temprorily unavailable"

    Hello someone9,
There are a few possible causes for this issue, sometimes it is related to Security Software, other times it is related to the internet connection. Let's follow the steps below:
iOS: Resolving update and restore alert messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
    - Install the latest version of iTunes.
    - Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
    - Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
    - Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
    - If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
If the above does not resolve the issue, you can also check out this article:

What happened yesterday may have been caused by the SOPA protest action that was joined by a lot of sites yesterday and such an action won't happen that often.

It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

It also appears that your phone may have been Hacked and / or Jailbroken...
If this is the case... you are out of luck... Because...
