You can use Firefox in private browsing mode and Firefox will not store details of sites visited. For details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Private+Browsing

Dont want to display Faces Message in JSF Page

we are using seam framework. In our application user authentication is failed i create one FacesMessage like this
FacesMessage.instance().add("Login Failed"); but this is displayed in top of the page but i want to display above the username and password field so what i did is i create text above that field .

Its working properly but the problem is in top of the page Login Failed comes from Faces Meassage is also displayed , i dont want to display that message.So i tried to create an message like

Sounds like that there is a <h:messages /> element in the top of the page which indeed shows any facesmessage in the queue. Remove that and use component specific <h:message /> elements only. The way that you're handling facesmessages is also bad, it's like a huge roundabout.

When i create a new window, firefox Yanks me back to where i was and i dont want to be yanked back.

i duplicate current pages by create new windows on a very frequent basis;
to do this, i go to the top of the page that i want to duplicate and right-click and click on Open Link in New Window;
I specifically want to duplicate the page i am on in another Window, not a new tab;
Because
Duplicating the current page to Open Link in New Tab, gives tabs on the top of my screen;
Duplicating the current page to Open Link in New Window, gives 'tabs' on the bottom of my screen;
I want 'tabs' to show on the bottom of my screen and to do that i have to Open Link in New Window;
My question and What is happening, is that firefox is yanking me back to the page that i have just duplicated by right-clicking at the top of the page and clicking on Open Link in New Window;
When i create the new Window, firefox yanks me back to the page that i just duplicated and i dont want to be yanked back to that page;
I want to stay on the page that i just duplicated.
I have tried changing the way tabs work in Options but nothing checked or unchecked results in the specific way i want to have new Windows open and STAY on that newly created Window and not be YANKED back to the window i duplicated.

The original window did not have a Flash object, but does the window that hides itself contain a Flash object? That is the usual pattern for this bug in the plugin's protected mode feature.

HELP I'm getting a blinking folder with a question mark at start up? Have been trying to fix this for 3 hours and I dont want to lose all my files by resetting it completely!!

I currently have Mavericks but my original OS X disk that I have I'm pretty sure is Mac OS X 10.6.6. I'm not great with computers but am usually able to fix problems I have had with mine in the past. I have reinstalled and reset my computer to factory settings before, but I am locked out of my computer completely & can't get to my files to save them & I really dont want to lose them. I was in Safari earlier opening a file, the page started to not respond & froze up my whole desktop so I did a hard shutdown & restarted my computer. I haven't been able to get back into my account ever since. If my only choice is to lose my files & reinstall everything, I need detailed instructions because I actually attempted to do this at first, out of desperation to fix my computer & the installer was asking me to select what disk I wanted to reinstall lion to yet I dont have a disk for that nor do I know what it exactly is asking of me? Please help

These are related but not identical issues. Their causes are outlined in Intel-based Mac- Startup sequence and error codes, symbols. Solutions may be found in:
A flashing question mark or globe appears when you start your Mac
Mac OS X- Gray screen appears during startup
In most cases the problems may be caused by one or more of these:
a. Problem with the computer's PRAM - See Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM.
b. Boot drive's directory has been corrupted - Repair with Disk Utility.
c. Critical system files are damaged or deleted - Reinstall OS X.
d. The disk drive is physically non-functional - Replace the hard drive.
Note that the information I have provided is what Apple recommends, If other users suggest different solutions than found here, then be sure what they recommend does not impact on your warranty, if any, or ability to get continuing Apple service.
Please don't start removing drives or changing cables unless you know what you are doing and have exhausted other non-invasive alternatives outlined here. If you perform any work yourself that is unapproved by Apple, then you will void any warranty you may have and lose all further Apple Support.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
The main difference if you are using Lion or Mountain Lion is that you must first boot from the Recovery HD. Simply boot from the Recovery HD to perform the above.

After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing The Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. 1. Based on your screenshot it appears you are using Windows, so you will need to open up a simple text editor and save a file with the name ".htaccess". It begins with a "." and has nothing at the end. When you upload it to your site in FTP you will need to enable the viewing of hidden files in your FTP client because files that begin with a "." are hidden on Unix systems. Then follow the instructions on the following page about how to edit htaccess files. There is a lot you can do with them.

I dont want my search history in a new tab

Why suddenly has firefox decided that it wants my search history to appear in a new tab when I open it. I never asked for this but firefox seems to be going the google path, the take it and choke on it attitude that seems to be the way of this type of service. Why Im i forced to fart around searching for ways to remove this option I never asked for. Why do I have to have this waste of my time forced onto me by some market research moron at firefox who thinks they know what I want. They dont I know what I want I want my choices in how I use the internet and firefox to be my choice. But apparently using firefox is turning my choices over to some failed marketing undergrad trying to make work for themselvs. I dont want to hear bullshit reasons for why it happend or an explination of how I need to spend 20 min reseting everything to get the choices Iv made in my internet use back to how I want them. I dont want my search history appearing in a new tab I want it blank. Its my choice to do this. Dont force changes that I dont want. Where is the list where I can click on what i want and get what I need. Even getting to this stage in finding out was 5min of wading thru irrelevent firefox crap. You need to clear cookies from those pages and saved form data and possible saved names and passwords.

This could be a feature of an add-on. Could you check to see whether you have any unrecognized add-ons and disable (or remove) them. In particular:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category

I dont want the desktop'app'. An actual 'app' is something that you find in the tiles on the start page in 8.1, and it also runs like one too on the screen. If I wanted the desktop version, I would download the skype 'program', which this new update is. What gives? Its the whole reason I chose to install an 'app' instead of a 'program'.
