I down loaded an album and the first song is blank.
I downloaded an album and the first song is blank. It looks like it is playing, but there is nothing there. I don't loaded another song and it does not even attempt to play. It just skips over this song. I am afraid to buy anything else until i get this fixed. What is wrong and how can i fix this?

So I downloaded the Ellie Goulding album and the first few songs only play up to 15 seconds of the song and then skip to the next one. It wont let me drag the scroller to a further point in the song because when I do it doesnt play and goes to the next one. If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

The album which the song has been listed under (on the song's page) is listed in your library under that album. The song is then removed automatically from the first album

Purchasing a new song or album will not affect any other song or album in your library.
In the case of the two albums you mention, if you purchase them both, you will have the same song (different copies) in both albums. -
I've created a slideshow in iPhoto 09 and the first song just repeats 50 seconds into it. How do I get the song to continue?
With iPhoto open click Help from the iPhoto menu bar top of your screen. From the drop down menu click iPhoto Help.
Type slideshow music in the search field top right corner of that window.

Burn a Cd and the first song skips for a minute, but then the rest of the Cd is fine.
I use Memorex CD-R.. I haven't had this problem up until a couple weeks ago. I just burned 3 cds in a row and all of them had the first song skip... Any help would be great! Thank You!

First of all, it is better to use CD-Rs than CD-RWs, as the latter often give problems when used for audio CDs.
The problem you describe -- bad audio on the later tracks of an audio CD -- can almost always be corrected by doing the burn at a much lower burn speed. Use 2x.
The burn speed is selected in the dialog box that comes up when you request the burn. It defaults to "Maximum Possible," but there is a dropdown to select a lower value. -

Facebook pull-downs don't work and the messages area is blank under the blue navigation bar.
I recently let my computer upgrade my Firefox from 16.0.1 to 16.0.2. Once I did, every single page I went to loaded but came up completely blank. I tried Firefox's suggestions on fixing it and nothing worked so I went back to 15 and then upgraded to my previously working version, 16.0.1. I've only had one problem since. My pull-downs on Facebook don't work, the messages page comes up blank, and lots of other little things don't work either, like comments on certain pages or the "endless page loading" on my friends pages (I can only see the top few updates, the rest doesn't load.) It works fine on Chrome, but I hate losing all my plugins to go to Chrome from Firefox when only one site doesn't work. Since then I've turned off all my add-ons, deleted my history, removed my cache and cookies, utterly removed Firefox and reinstalled from scratch again, after deleting EVERY item on my hard drive with the word Mozilla attached. I've updated my Flash, my Java, my QuickTime, my Direct X and my Adobe reader plug in. I've tried to roll back my system, but I've been working on this too long and it won't go back far enough. I've run the windows malware scanner (full scan) and Malwarebytes scanner as well (full scan), with no problems found. I'm out of suggestions. What can I do to get my Facebook to work again on Firefox 16.0.1? I'm on Windows 7 (64) Home Edition, BTW.

EDIT: NOOOO!!! I have no idea what's wrong. It started doing it again, and now when I delete everything in that folder for personal stuff, even when I JUST deleted it all and haven't added ANYTHING, it still is broken! I'm so sad! We almost had it!!
Why would it work the first time and then not work the second time? I bring up the personal settings folder, delete everything in it, restart, go to facebook, and then it still doesn't work!
EDIT: I figured it out. I like to have firefox remember some cookies and not others. Most are deleted on restart except a few key sites. When I change that setting to on, facebook java stuff stops working. Even if I let facebook be one of the few that I always keep the cookies for on restart, it still won't let me use it. I either need to have it remember all cookies or forget all cookies on restart. And I hate tracking, so if I have to choose between firefox remembering everything and remembering nothing, I'll take nothing. It's probably good for me to remember all my passwords anyways. Annoyed that facebook won't let me use that setting, though.

Is there a way to have iTunes play the first song in a playlist & then stop
We're using iTunes to play backing tracks in a show. We are using a vpedal through the USB for play and pause. We would like to be able to hit the pedal to play the first track and then have it stop ( NOT automatically play the second track). Then we could just hit the pedal to play each subsequent track. Michael - thank you so much for your effort to help me with this question. I have tried what you have suggested and it does exactly what you say it will do but does not solve the issue. Let me explain what needs to happen a little better: The playlist of backing tracks has 4 songs. The Vpedal is a third party programable device that will activate play/pause in iTunes. I will have no access (nor will anyone else) to the computer while I am in character during this part of the performance. I introduce the piece and step on the vpedal and the first song plays. If I don't hit it again, each subsequent track will play automatically - this is bad because applause, etc. makes the time between songs variable. So, currently I have to step on the pedal at the end of song #1 to pause it and then when ready for song #2 step on it again to play. The same process for end of song #2 (pause), start of song #3 (play), end of song #3 (pause) and start of song #4 (play). This works but the problem with it is I must be very precise when to pause - wait a second too late and then next song will begin. So, it would be far preferable if iTunes only needed me to press the pedal to play and the program would pause automatically at the end of each song but be ready to play the next song when I hit the pedal. Hope this makes it clearer.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup
