Try downloading the installer again. You can get the latest stable official release for free at [http://www.getfirefox.com getfirefox.com]. Then try again.
Also, make sure your Firewall is not hindering Firefox's installation process.

I have tried to download FireFox 4 and earlier versions from several different website, thinking the files might have gotten corrupted, and each time I download the file the exact same thing happens, the file downloads and the file gets extracted but when the extraction completes the small window dissappears and nothing else happens.
My machine is a Windows Vista 64 bit system and I've tried downloading the file with my 32 and 64 bit Internet Explorer but nothing seems to work. The SWF plugin for FF and the SWO for IE are also correct.
You shouldn't be having any problems with Flash Player.
What you can try is to turn off the hardware acceleration feature. Go to any video, like youtube and right click on the video and click on Settings. Display Settings is where you will UN check hardware acceleration.
See if that helps. Let me know.

The Adobe Application Manager reports an update for Photoshop CS6 Extended but when I tell it to update, it goes through a download and reports "Unable to extract downloaded files. Press retryto download again. U44M11210"

Trying to download itunes onto PC installed with windows vista. Download keeps getting to 99% with 1 second remaining and then freezes / does nothing? Any help appreciated.
I solved the problem! The updates orignally were downloaded to the C: drive of the server. I've since moved them to the E: drive and for some reason the Content folder in IIS didn't change the file path to the new WSUScontent folder.
The root cause for this was failing to use the UTILITY designed for this very purpose.
I edited the virtual directory settings in IIS and was able to put the correct path in.
You still need to use the UTILITY.. to fix all the other stuff you're still missing.
In the %ProgramFiles%\Update Services\Tools folder...
WSUSUTIL MOVECONTENT E:\WSUS E:\WSUS\MoveContent.LOG -SKIPCOPY

I purchased a new camera with an Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 disk. I have a windows pc with windows 8.1. I have downloaded and removed about 5 times. It says installed correctly but every time i hit the icon the pc freezes and I have to reboot HELP

Everytime I try to download and instal most recent firefox, installer freezes
I keep getting a pop up saying that a new version of firefox is available, i click ok to download and install and the status freezes and never completes, so I have to forcequit. I have an imac OZx10.7.1 and am currently using firefox 6.0.1
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

I posted the other evening about installing iTunes and then using a Library on a drive other than 'C.' I got this to work, used the old library file, iTunes creates a new one, freezes for a bit, and everything in those folders displays fine. Once iTunes starts to download two recent purchases, the program freezes. The downloads come in fine, but it takes hours before it shuts down by itself after clicking the exit button. Tonight I start it again. Everything is fine until I try to enter the store. The program freezes. Also, purchases in the cloud do not display, which may be due to the old library. I've never had any issues with iTunes in the many years I've been using it. Do I need to simply reinstall, create a NEW library on the separate drive, and then migrate existing material to the newly-created library? How do I get my purchases in the cloud (TV, Film, since all of my music is on the drive) to display so I can download them at will? I'm completely at a loss. ITunes used to be a lot easier to manage. I used to have libraries split between drives with no problem. I realize I've listed several broad problems here, so if I need to work through them one at a time, please tell me where to begin, or which specific info is needed to help you wiser folks help get my iTunes running once more.
Thanks in advance!So I just learned that Apple now charges you for support to use their software if you're not a MAC user, but they still want me to purchase from their store, which I cannot use because the software is bugging out. Sense when did Apple become Microsoft? This is partly the reason I stopped buying pre-fab PCs, and just use their OS because I have to have it for work. I'd switch to Linux in a second if I could use my work-related software and had a player that could play iTunes proprietary content, since I've spent an obscene amount of income with them since 2005. I was hoping someone would stop by and give a hint of a solution, but I guess I'll figure it out on my own like I have to do when software designed for MS goes buggy. Maybe I'll rate this as solving my own problem and collect the 10 points. lol Thanks to everyone to stopped by and read the problem.

Keep trying to download and install flash player
My flash player quit working, so I upgraded it. A few days ago, it just dies. I can't find it anywhere on my computer. So I tried to download and install the newest flash player. It initializes and begins installing. Then stops and asks me to turn off Internet explorer, which I do and click RETRY. I then get and ERROR: Application is currently in use.
What is going on? If i tell it to install Chrome, it stops that and says it is already installed. I can't find this program either. It was obviously installed when I last updated flash player. I have an iphone 4s. I have an alert that there is a software update available to iOS 6. When I got to the settings tab, the "download and install" button is not highlited and I can't click on it. Below that, it says that this update requires a Wi-Fi network connection to download. So I connected my phone to my computer and tried to update throug itunes. When I clicked the update tab on itunes on my laptop, an alert pops up that says I need to be connected to the internet for th update to take place. I am confused because I am connected to the internet, but for some reason the connection is not being recognized when I try to update.
I am using a Gateway laptop and my internet connection is a verizon 4g device that I plug into a USB port. I feel like this should be so simple but have not been able to figure it out even when I called Apple and spoke to a rep...help!In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi. -

I am having a problem installing windows via bootcamp.
I already partitioned my hdd via Bootcamp, downloaded and copied all the supports for windows, and windows is on an external USB as well. I had to stop the process the other day, so i shut down the computer. Now I am trying to boot from the USB, but I cant get to that point where the computer should restart and windows would start installing.
. After restarting, holding command, it doesnt show up as bootable device.
How shall I move forward? My disk is already partitioned, and if i start the whole process from the beginning, it wants me to partition again - although I already made a 100GB partition for windows.
Please help me out.

ZoltanSo, here is what happened when I tried to make it.(sorry for quality, i had to take them by phone)
At first when I opened it I saw that I could simply resolve it just by stretching the arrow at the bottom, giving the 100 GB back which I partitioned before via Bootcamp. At this point options was not available.
I didnt do it because you mentioned earlier that it might be not designed to install windows.
The second thing I tried I choose 1 Partition from Partition Layout. This time Options were available but I didnt see anything like GPT, the onces that are optionable are on the screenshot.
What do you think how shall I move on? I was thinking to give it a shot with option 1, just stretch it back and try everything from scratch. -
I have been trying to download and install Indesign several times.
It downloads till 85% and then I get this error. When I hit 'try again' it starts downloading from 42%, jumps to 77% and reaches 85% and then drops off.
This is getting really annoying. I have the top of the line Samsung Laptop with highest configuration. Even my internet connection is working fine.
Please help me with this. Urgent project to work on.

11.2.0.3.0 Required Postinstallation Tasks: Downloading and Installing Patches
I installed 11.2.0.3.0 on AIX 7.1. The postinstallation tasks begin with downloading and installing patches. I am not sure which patches or PSU to install. Following the directions in the installation guide, I go to My Oracle Support, then to Patches and Updates and specify Oracle Database and IBM AIX 64-bit. For "release" do I select 11.2.0.3.0, or do I select the seven releases from 11.2.0.3.0 - 11.2.0.3.6? If I select all seven the search returns 1293 patches. The instructions are obviously not telling me to download and apply all 1293 patches. I next searched for the most recent PSU and see that PSU 11.2.0.3.6 was published on April 17, 2013. What is the right thing to apply? Should I download only PSU 11.2.0.3.6 and apply that, or should I do something else not described here?

just about any action in firefox will cause a "WHITE SCREEN" freeze up and then an error message stating that firefox has stopped working. This happens in EVERY sessioin of firefox.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.
