I downloaded 2 albums and it mixed the album songs together. The songs are not in the right albums and some are not in the albums at all.

I have a macbook air with 60GB memory. For work, I have used up all the memory and constantly use the files, so transfering them to a different location is not a possibilty now. I have about 5GB of music on it, but would like to transfer more on my iPod classic. I would like to know wether there is a possibility for me to delete old music, get new music into its place and then sync the iPod without losing the old music from it.

HT203167 I've downloaded the Now Christmas album, all but 1 song has been downloaded and put in my library. The list says it's there but when I go to play it, iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song. I have downloaded lastest version of iTunes.

I have purchased and downloaded the Now Christmas album to my iTunes libary and all but 1 song have been purchased. The song appears in my library but when I go to play it iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song. It wouldn't normally bother me but its the only song my son wants to hear all the time (hopefully the heart strings will be pulled here and someone will reply before Christmas to help me!) I've loaded the last verison of iTunes.

Will the media file play with Quicktime Player? If it will then it's an iTunes issue. If it won't then you need to delete the file and download it a second time.

Delete the song from your library and re-download it from the Purchases section of the iTunes Store.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

A song is listed as being 4:17 seconds but stops after 35 seconds and moves onto the next song, this happens in iTunes and on my iPod Touch 4th gen, both are recently updated to the latest software and the album was purchased today.

This is bugging me quite a bit, I bought an album today and it lists the song as being 4 mins 17 seconds. However, as I mentioned, on both platforms it stops at around 35 seconds and flicks onto the next song in the case of iTunes or just stops playing audio for my iPod Touch 4th gen. It is a full song on Youtube and everywhere else I seem to look, so is this likely to be a software issue with iTunes/iOS or the song itself perhaps?

That suggests the track is damaged.

When I have the downloads window open and I close the browser window, how can I get the browser to open the homepage the next time I start it while the download window is still open?

All previous versions of Firefox would return me to my homepage which I would prefer. Please let me know if this is possible.

When you re-open Firefox and choose Restore Session, by default it picks up your most-recently-open window, and the other windows should then show up in Recently Closed Windows.
The Firefox add-on Session Manager lets you manage how many closed windows and closed tabs are saved, in case it's not enough.

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I quit itunes, and it keeps reopening.

I pause the song, and it resumes it on its own again. I'm not joking. So, I end up quiting out of itunes; but, it starts right back up again on its own. After quiting out of the app a few times, it eventually stops reopening; however, about an hour later (or less) it opens again. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP? I'm just about to delete itunes, because I've had enough of this crap. I hope someone can help. I've restarted the laptop, and it seemed like that fixed it, then itunes started up doing the same thing again an hour later. ituneshelper is unchecked; bluetooth is off; i only have speakers and a mouse plugged in (also charger).

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then you will need to contact iTunes Support - try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

Go to iTunes Store > Purchased ( in Quick Links on the right) and redownload

You need to reinstall the App Store.
Use Lion Recovery to do that.
