I could only start in safe mode and until uninstalling the flash player could i start in safe mode with networking. i cannot open any microsoft products now. I get a message saying adobe acrobat 10 is not designed to run on windows or uninstall and reinstall it ....but it will not let me uninstall it. What do i do? is this all an adobe issue or a windows problem?? thanks Tim

A couple of possibilities:
How did you remove CS4 ? If you removed it improperly instead of Uninstalling it (say, you "deleted" it or just dragged it to the Recycling Bin), you almost certainly left stuff behind that needed uninstalling.
What's even worse, if you removed CS4 after you installed CC you may have messed with the CC installation.
I'm not going to attempt to tell you how to fix it, since this will probably involve uninstalling CC and after that looking for, downloading the Adobe CS_Cleaner tool and the CC_Cleaner tool, then re-installing CC, since I'm not a Windows user and don't want to mislead you.
In any case, when Windows users chime in to assist you, they'll need all the details which you have not provided so far.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Cannot open any Office product

Hello,
Since today I have been unable to open any Office application (I have Office 2008 for Mac). The Microsoft Office Set up Assistant opens up instead and asks me to register the product. When I click register, it tells me that I don't need to register for Office
2011 (which I have not bought). Thus I cannot re-register and cannot open any app so far. Any ideas as to what I can do to regain access to my Word/PPT documents?

As far as I know, registration is not required for Office 2008 for Mac. This issue (the Office Setup Assistant opens when you try to open an Office application) usually occurs when the Office Setup Assistant detects any corruption in the license
file (Product Key) was used to install Office 2008 for Mac.
You might want to reload the software and reenter the produce key that is included with your original installation disk, then try again.

Rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) in the Firefox Profile Folder in case there is a problem with the file.<br />
You may have to rename cert8.db (cert8.db.old) as well.
Firefox will create new files.
The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

Cannot print any Microsoft product

No Microsoft office product will print and I'm getting this message:
"Word cannot print due to a problem with a current printer. Make sure you have a printer selected in Print Center. You may need to print again or adjust your printer settings."
This message pops up no matter which printer I select.
Three things may have contributed (or not!): 1. just added iWork 08 & iLife 08  2. used the most recent update of Microsoft 3. printer/fax machine MAY HAVE been plugged into computer when fax tried to transmit (can't remember for sure as I've tried to problem solve)  I have gone to Microsoft help and gone through the entire troubleshooting guide: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313553

Cannot open any folders within thunderbird or send unsent messages after computer (ubuntu) closed suddenly whilst using programme

I use ubuntu. The computer ran out of battery power and closed whilst I was using thunderbird. On restarting thunderbird later, I found that I could not open any folders or send any unsent messages. When I close the programme, I cannot restart it because it says thunderbird is already open, but if I use killall -9 thunderbird I am told there are no thunderbird processes running. I've checked my profile and there is no lock file or parentlock file. Someone suggest deleting the global messages database, but this hasn't helped at all.
If I am slow responding to any questions, please be patient, tonight is my last night with a decentinternet connection - before returning to my rural African home, where we get download speeds of 15kb/s on a good day.

Do you have a backup of your profile folder? If not, now is a good time to create one.

There might be some sort of corruption in connection with your Inbox folder.
Try to rebuild the index file within Thunderbird:
Right click on Inbox in Thunderbird, select Properties, and then press the Rebuild Index button.

My updates have frozen. I had 7 aps to update and pressed up date all the bars below each started to move but the no further progress I have rebooted a few times but no luck and I cannot open any of them now.

My updates appeared in the list yesterday. As usual I pressed the update all request. But all have frozen, I have rebooted and deleted memory space but this has not made any difference. The updates included Dropbox, cloud on, hidden objects,calculator, twitter, box for iPod and iPad, the smurfs? Can any one help me please. I now cannot use any of them!

I have tried all the suggestions, I am unable to view itunes on my IPAD they do not look the same. However I have solved the problem by taking them out of the groups I had them in they updated! Never happended before but hey - i'm not complaining!

Never mind sorted it out lol. Somebody did a system restore of a week or so. I had done the update during that time and it was lost. Just redownloaded itunes from the internet and its working fine now.

Go to F_Secure's Flashback Removal Tool web page, download their Flashback trojan detection/removal tool, and follow the instructions you find there.
Also install the latest java update which also tries to remove these trojans.

And only download the adobe flash plugin from the adobe site.
Update:
Just because you cannot download pdf may not be an indication of the trojan. There's been a number of reports about problems like that with pdf's. Look at the More Like This section on the right side of this page.

I couldn't launch Dreamweaver CC. An error told me to install "java se 6 runtime". But when I clicked OK I got another error telling me there is a network problem! I found this forum post on CS6 products, so I tried the download link, installed java 6 and presto, it worked! Thanks!
