Try resetting your iPad. Press and hold both the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Try your book.

This is a ridiculous policy and it interferes with how most people would listen to an audio book since they are quite lengthy. I'm traveling, so I throw the audio book on using my iPad and I get 60% of the way through the book on my trip. I come home, I want to listen to the rest of it via iTunes on my stereo through AirPlay. And this can't be done?
This is the last audiobook I buy from iTunes until they *fix* this... and it IS something that requires fixing whether that means negotiating more aggressively with the audiobook providers or changing something at the software layer. It completely ruins many peoples' experience!
It's funny because a friend of mine suggested buying it, then downloading it from a torrent just so I could use the book the way I wanted to use the book. Is it not sad that to create a positive overall user experience you have to resort to downloading something off a torrent?
iTunes is supposed to make things easy and accessible. I agree with jamusick's posting -- this isn't the vision Steven Jobs had for the future. This is a road block on the way there. -

The message means that you should download it on your computer's iTunes and then sync it to the iPad. The message quite often appears if you are currently on 3G/4G on the iPad and the app (and it applies to other content as well) is over the maximum size allowed over cellular, which is currently 50 meg.

I downloaded a book on my Ipad and after syncing to my PC, it was dropped from the Ipad, but shows up on my PC? I have it "checked" to be synced but it will not come back onto my Ipad. This is also after I downloaded IOS 5.1 for the Ipad. Does anyone know why it would be dropped from the Ipad?
Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

I was downloading a movie on my iPad and I stopped downloading it and I want to delete it and it won't. How do you delete it in the iTunes for iPad.
If you tap and hold down the icon - and the X does not appear on the icon - you will not be able to delete it without totally downloading it. Finish the download and then delete it.

Is the app compatible with the iPhone (i.e. it's not an iPad-only app) and do you have the relevant iOS version on your iPhone ? Does it show in the Purchased section in the App Store app on the phone for you to download it (re-downloading) ?

Trying to download a movie on my iPad and constantly receive a download error tap to retry. iPad has enough capacity.
Tap to retry to download and when it starts attempting to download again tap on the pause button. Once it is paused, tap the button again to resume the download. However you need to be really fast doing this!
