I purchases a movie that contained an insert paper that provided a code for me to go to iTunes and download that movie in a digital format. I tried to download it again to be sure it actually downloaded, but I get a message that the code had already been used. So, I guess it downloaded. I understand the movie should be downloaded to the iCloud, but cannot find it.

I rented a movie in iTunes from my MBP. I synced the MBP with my iPad and the movie doesn't show up; or at least I am not looking in the right place. In iTunes on the laptop, there is a Rentals category. There is not on the iPad. How do I get the two to communicate and transfer the rental to the iPad?

If you download a rented TV show on your computer: You can play it on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV (2nd generation) if it’s a standard-definition episode. TV episodes in HD can be played on your iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), or Apple TV (2nd generation). Once you move the episode from your computer to a device, the episode will disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you download a rented TV show on your iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), or Apple TV (2nd generation): It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
Frankly I really don't understand this wording, but it almost makes it sound like you can only transfer a standard def show to the device from the computer. If you download a HD show directly to the iDevice - you can watch it on the iDevice. But a Hi-Def show cannot be transferred? See what you think. -

Audio of Movies through iTunes
Does anyone know why:
a) when watching a movie through iTunes, you can't elect to send the audio to an arport express with speakers as you can with music and
b) why when using airfoil to achieve this, there is a sync problem between audio and visual of a second or so, audio being the last to arrive?

Yep that is the exact isse I am seeing, it's really odd. There's no reason it shouldn't work, I mean it tries to work and I assume the video out is virtually the same as any iPhone.
Speaking of, playing previews in iTunes with my iPhone 4 pr 3G using the same component cables, works perfectly.
Sounds like a weird bug to me. Is there any place I could report this issue?

I rented a movie through itunes on my ipad and wanted to watch it with friends on a digital projector, but it wouldn't allow me to do it. Is there any way around this?
The issue was that a dialogue box came up which said that I couldn't play this movie on another device. I tried playing the same movie on an Tv with an HDMI connection attached to an adapter to the IPad and that worked. I wonder if the problem is that the digital projector has a VGA connection.

I rented a movie through iTunes and it downloaded but won't play. It is present in the videos app but doesn't load the picture for the movie. When I go to play it, it just opens and then closes. There is an iCloud icon that suggests the movie has not Been downloaded and when I click it it says that the movie has already been rented but not downloaded and that I need to go to downloads to manage it. It is not present in my iTunes download page however. And when I go to rent it again all I get is a watch button that directs me back to the videos app with no way to watch it.

If you are not able to play or download a movie rental on your iPad, first restart your device:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.

Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

HT1498 Is it typical for a rented movie through iTunes to take hours to download?
I rented a movie through iTunes which was paid for without trouble. Now, whenever I go to start the movie, it says it needs at least 4 hours to load. I'm just trying to make sure that this is typical for Apple TV and nothing to do with any problems with the Apple TV.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps. -

Depending on the type of connection you have, most likely you're sharing that connection with your neighbors and if everybody is using it all at the same time you are probably having some reduced bandwidth. Second, depending on the quality of the movie you're downloading (SD, 720p 1080i/p) it could be several gigabytes of data and that may take a long time. Ten megabits per second isn't really that fast anymore when we are moving such large amounts of data.

I purchased movies through iTunes and downloaded them to my PC as well as synced my entire library (including 'all films') to my iPad. However, I cannot seem to find / view the movies on my iPad unless 'Home Sharing' is on?
No. Homeshare let's you view your iTunes library or others on your network.
Movies should be in the video app on the home screen. If they are not there, then make sure when your iPad is plugged into iTunes on your computer...the video tab is checked to sync what you want..make sure you hit apply after. You should see the movies transferring to your iPad in the status bar on the top of iTunes. -

I have a Dell 17R, Windows 8 64 bit, intel i7-3630QM at 2.4 GHZ, 8gb ram, Nvidia GT-650M at 1920x1080 using driver 320.49
When I play a movie in iTunes, the audio works flawlessly but the video will be smooth for a few seconds, stutter and then skip small 2-3 second spots. I haven't noticed that the parts skipped are any more graphically intense than other spots and there is no discernable pattern.
In the past, I have been able to play movies through iTunes with absolutely no problem but when I downloaded this most recent one a few days ago all of my movies have been experiencing the same issue.
When I stream other videos from other sources I do not experience the same problems as I do when I use iTunes. Streaming 1080P over youtube or a similar services is no issue.
I have updated my video drivers to the latest version as well.
I am at a loss, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes - as long as the movie has totally and fully downloaded onto the iPad.
