I downloaded a .mov file but when I play it I only get stills. How do I run it as a video?

I downloaded a .mov video file from Vimeo and when I try to play it I only get stills, not the video. How do I get Quick Time to play this as a video? Also, if I try to delete the file I cannot do so. It will not move it to the recycle bin. It also won't allow me to change the properties to another type of file for viewing. I can't get rid of it or watch it. Any ideas?

It sounds like you downloaded the wrong application, namely Adobe Premiere Elements.
If you meant Adobe Photoshop Elements, you're in the wrong forum. This is not the Elements forum.

I used to have FF and then I had to reformat. Downloaded file but when it goes to extract, I get Local\temp\7zS6f17.tmp\setup.exe. The directory name is not valid. I've never had this before. Suggestions? ps: can't use firefox because of this =(

This reformat is doing my head in. I hate using IE and was really looking forward to getting back onto FF.
All I did was download the application, try to run it but when it comes to the extraction, a pop up box comes up with the info I've put up there.
Any suggestions that gets me off stupid IE would be appreciated.

When connecting my iPhone or iPod touch to my laptop to update software, the software downloads to my laptop but when it goes to install I get an error message that says network timed out. Any advice here please?

For the past 2-3 months everytime I connect my iPhone or iPod touch to my laptop to update the software through itunes I have issues. I have tried download and install option and the download only option. When the progress bar gets to 100 % downloading and switches to start to install I get an error message that says something like connection issue/timed out/network something. My internet is working so what am I doing wrong when I didn't used to have this problem?

This was not a simple task. Got it handled. Had to call Apple support. Apparently, the 160g only syncs the genius playlist. You have to go in and "tell it" to sync the entire playlist as well as the genius playlists. There is also an option for only syscing certain songs. On itunes, there is two sections; one for the stuff that is synced on your ipod and another separate list for the stuff in your library! This is exciting for me as I am not computer savvy to say the least.

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

I'm plugging in with the 15 pin type connector that has finger screws each side of it,(can't remember what it is called) with a separate usual plug into the earphone socket of the laptop and at the other end, into the audio output of the TV. You have 30 days from when you download it, but when you then start watching it you have 48 hours (24 if your account is US based) to finish watching it before it expires.

If you are in the US then yes, you should be able to re-download them, as long as they are still in the store and you use the same iTunes account as your originally used to buy them : re-downloading
If you are not in the US then they cannot currently be re-downloaded. Have you not got a different backup of your purchases that you could try copying them back from ?
