when I try to click past where it stopped it keeps bouncing me back to where it stopped. helpppp

Is your iPod configured to sync TV Shows from under its TV Shows tab in iTunes?
Are you getting any error messages while syncing your iPod?

A song that I just bought won't play more than 1 minute and 3 seconds with sound.

I bought a song 2 days ago and I tried to listen to it but only 1 minute and 3 seconds of it will play with sound. My iPod says that the song is still playing but there is no sound. The volume is up but there is nothing. I tried to "report a problem" when I got the email receipt but my iPod said it couldn't connect to the iTunes store.

Try deleting the song and redownloading it if you are in a country (USA is one) that allows free redownloads by:

Delete the track from the iTunes library, allowing iTunes to move the track file to the Trash. Then download the track again from the iTunes Store via this procedure:

That fixes the problem for many people. If problems with the track persist, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

HT1338 my tv shows and movies won't play on my MacBook Pro display due to HDCP

As of today, I cannot play my movies or televison shows on my MacBook Pro. They have always played before and my software is up to date. The dialogue box shows "This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)."

This sounds like these shows are in a HD format and are not supported on the iPhone 3gs. I would recommend downloading the SD version of these shows and then sync these to your device.

Library won't play more than one song at a time

What gives? My iTunes suddenly won't play a sequence of songs. Not from the library as a whole, not from any playlist. The files are all still there and I can highlight and play any ONE, but iTunes won't then go on to the next. Tried 'select all', that didn't work either. What setting have I accidently changed? Just downloaded the newest iTunes just in case, but that didn't help. Still only 1 song at a time. Makes using iTunes as background pretty useless.

Are you saying that when you hit PAUSE the song doesn't stop playing?
If you want to jump to a different song while one is already playing, you don't need to hit pause/stop at all. Simply go to the song you want to here, double click it and the song that was playing will stop and the double clicked song will start. No need to use the Stop/Pause/Play type controls at all.

Playlists won't play more than one song at a time

I have setup some play lists, some play all the songs, others will only play one song then stop and I have to manually go to the next song. I don't understand and it's driving me mad! I read through some old posts on this and made sure that the check boxes next to my songs are ticked. I have also made sure that the shuffle & 'play playlist' icons are in blue. Is there anything else I can try? Please, please help!

Besides the checkboxes next to songs, you might want to check the songs themselves with the Get Info command and make sure the "Skip When Shuffling" option it turned off. If your playlist is set to shuffle and your songs say skip when shuffling, then they won't play.
Also, are these new playlists? Or are they playlists that were ok before but now (after upgrading to iTunes 7.6?) act differently?

HELP! My library won't play more than one song!

Okay, so I've been using iTunes to listen to my music. I ALWAYS just click on Library in the sources list and then highlight shuffle and repeat then push play and it plays and shuffles through all of my tunes.
All of a sudden last night, I clicked the 'next' button to skip a song I didn't want to hear and instead of skipping to another song, the player stopped and the only option available was play. So I hit play and it played the same song but wouldn't skip to a new one.
I've restarted iTunes, re-installed iTunes... I've tried everything I can think of, but now I can't get my library to play through my songs.
The only way it works now is if I place check marks next to the songs and hit play, but given that I have almost 5,000 mp3s, that would take a really long time. I went to 'edit/select all' but that doesn't check the boxes next to the songs, nor is there an option to do so all at once.
Can anybody give me any siggestions on how to get things back to normal. How to play all the songs in my library without having to check each and every one of them? I am desperate for help and quite frustrated at the lengths I have had to go to to try to find someone to answer my question.
It seems that iTunes (unless you want the music store) does not have an option for contacting customer support... at least not one that I can find. I guess we have to rely on each other or something, or search through the millions of troubleshooting questions, hoping to find the one we need. Whatever! Anyways, please help. Thanks.

you've diagnosed the problem correctly. you need to recheck those boxes to get your shuffle working properly again.
to do a "global recheck", go to your main library view, hold down your Ctrl key, and left-click one of the checkboxes.
(the same technique can be used to do a "global uncheck".)

Burned CD locks up and won't play more than the first track

The cd burns perfectly and finishes but when you go to play it it will only play the first or first and second track. I have thrown away 6 disks. Does anyone know what is going on.

Hi,
This may happen because of you Internet connection. The reason why it only plays half of the song is that when it got downloaded, something might have happened to your connection. I realize that you can't re-download the songs, so try going to a friend's computer and download them again and then put them on your computer. Tell me if this works.

Audio issue on ipad - won't play more than on sound at a time.

I have a module with some background music, voice overs and various sound efx.
On the ipad only one sound will play at a time. So if there is background music it disappears when the voice over comes in and if there's a sound effect on top of voice over there is a disruption to the voice over.
It seems to work fine on desktop, laptop and even android devices.
Is this a known issue? Anybody have a solution or workaround?
The only thing I can think of is having all the audio pre-mixed.

Avoid overlapping audio in the project. If at all you need overlapping audio, read the article Adobe Captivate audio for iPad.

I've read many articles where the simple solution was to delete a file. The issue is that...
I can't find the file anywhere: com.apple.audio.AggregateDevices.plist
tried Admin/users, spotlight, partial or full name. Premiere Pro (CS5) is less than a week old in a brand new iMac. Is there a different solution for the problem? (video playback stops after 1 sec)

Well - I figured this out for me. The video that was imported into the project was not compatible with the project.
When-ever you have a problem, try to play with it using different project formats, different video formats and another thing I do is I try to edit the same video on someone else's computer... This is what I think of as isolating the problem.
For this issue. I exported the "bad" video by using the encoder with my default settings. I then imported the "new" video into the same project and it worked. So, what I thought is that the camera recorded the video in a different format then usual and it did not work with my default project settings.
I checked the camera and I was correct. So, when the video does not play, but another one does, probably format conflict.

Why won't Imovie let me make a video longer than ten minutes?

This has never been a problem before. I have made many videos on Imovie that are longer than ten minutes. Now all of a sudden it won't let me make a video that is more than ten minutes long. What is going on?
On a somewhat related note: Not only am I having this hassle, but I had to create a whole new apple ID just to ask this question becasue for whatever reason Apple wouldn't accept my credintials ( not even my recovery credentials). Then I had to try to log in five or six times because at first they wouldn't accept my new password, which I later found out was because I also needed to confirm my recovery adress, and then because I had to create a separate Apple Support ID. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get really sick and tired of having to jump through so many hoops just to accomplish the simplest tasks involving apple features.

Try copying it to your desktop, then importing into iMovie from there.

It sounds like there’s a grayed out song in your iTunes library that can’t be played or downloaded again like other past purchases. Try taking a look at the article linked below and verify the computer is authorized to play that content.

Songs appear to be missing
Songs containing DRM (Digital Rights Management) might not appear in iCloud, or might appear grayed out. This can occur if your computer is not authorized to play that content. Try authorizing your computer, then manually update iTunes Match. To determine what Apple ID your computer needs to be authorized for to play a specific song:
Locate and select the song in your iTunes library.
Choose File > Get Info.
In the Summary tab, locate the Account Name field in the right column. Write it down.
Click OK.
Choose Store > Authorize this Computer.
Type in the account name from the Summary field and enter its password. Click Authorize.
Choose Store > Update iTunes Match.

Did you burn the CD as an audio CD?
If not, that's your problem. Otherwise, without more details I can only guess. You might try a different brand of disk, or if you're using CD-RW try CD-R.
