I downloaded the watch the throne album and one song "the illest motherf****** alive" wont play i deleted it and brought it back nothing even purchased again and it wont play should I restore? that would take forever is thee something easier

    I just downloaded a number of albums from itunes.
    On one of the albums (smashing pumpkins - machina) the first track will not play! And when i plug in my 160gb ipod to download it puts up error on the song saying it will not play on this ipod? All the other songs on the album play fine? any ideas (its a good song too so gutted!)

    I have had the same problem since updating to iTunes 10.5 and it has happened on 2 different occaisions with 3 different albums where I was unable to sync the tracks....and where the computer is shared and smeone else is the main user it meant that I could not access the purchased section to redownload it.  I contacted support and they sent me the relevant files.
    I'm guessing there may be a slight glitch in 10.5.

    You may want to delete the song that doesn't play, and download it again using the steps in this article:

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

    This happened to me.  What you need to do is move the song and any backups to the recycle bin.  Then go to Itunes store and click 'Purchased' under Quick Links.  Go to the song you want and there will be a cloud next to it.  Click it and it will redownload.  It should download the full song this time.
    This happened to me yesterday when I bought a Volbeat album and again today when my brother bought a Rise Against album.  I hope Apple fixes this.  I just read about a question like this from back in 2007, so it's been going on for a while.

    I downloaded an Album from Itunes Store onto a Windows PC. Some of the songs play fine while others play about half the song and then skip to the next song. But, when I play the same songs from iCloud on my iPhone 4s, they play the whole song. So, why can't itunes play the song in full?

    What version of iPhoto do you have installed?  Is if one of the versions shown as not compatible in this screenshot?
    If it is then go to the App Store and download iPhoto 9.5.  It will be free if you have an iPhoto 9 or later verson currently.

    If you delete the song from your PC you can redownload it.  Make sure you actually remove it from the computer, and not just from the library (select "Move to Recycle Bin" when deleting).  To redownload you can go to the itunes Store->Purchased-> Download Previous Purchases.  Within there you have the option to view all songs purchased, as well as all songs which are "Not In My Libraray".
    If you don't feel comfortable deleting the song, you can just move copy/paste it somewhere else so that you've got it backed up in case the re-download doesn't work.

    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

    Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
