i downloaded an update from creative suite 5.5. to 6.0 and then switched computers for a few months. now I am back using the original computer and it looks like all of those Adobe applications (both 5.5 and 6.0) have disappeared. Maybe a "trial" was uploaded instead of the actual updates? Anyway, i just want to get the applications back onto my computer. i tried to enter the serial numbers on my original packaging but systems side error message from Adobe says they were already "redeemed" (which makes sense bc I already downloaded the updates. Apparently there is no phone customer service for Creative Suite anymore. ARRGGG. Any and all suggestions welcome!

there is no update from 5.5. to 6.0.
you could have upgraded from 5.5 to 6.0, but you would know that because you paid money.
assuming you paid no money for a 6.0 upgrade, you still have your 5.5 license. uninstall clean and reinstall 5.5 per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

you update it by connecting it to a computer running itunes and starting itunes up on the computer clicking on it in devices and clicking on the update button in the content menu
if it say you have the latests then it's because you don't own an iphone 3gs but an iphone 3g where the version 4.2.1 was the last released
in that case you can't ever update it

IT depends on what "data" you are asking about.
if you are having storage issues on your phone, I would be happy to make suggestions.
You can store pictures and documents in Dropbox or Google drive. These are cloud storage apps that keep your information stored off the phone, but available any time. You can send pages documents to either app in a different format for editing.
make sure you delete old messages, phone logs, email, as they take up space also.

It does not sound like a battery problem.
Try a couple of things:
1. Reset the SMC

2. Reset (if you can) the PRAM

If that does not help, delete the mouse in system preferences, turn it off, restart, and turn the mouse back on.

Using the iPhone, the USB cable, iTunes and Windows Contacts, sync the iPhone contacts to Windows Contacts. That will save them there. They are also included in the iPhone backup made in iTunes, and if you use iCloud.
I'm sorry, I missed the calendar part the first time I looked. For calendar, you need a supported application on the computer (Outlook) or if you use iCloud, you can use the iCloud contacts and calendar app to sync.

I have read on here that a PRAM reset can cure this problem:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.

I've been trying to update my Logic Pro 7.2.0 to the next versions in order to try and fix ANOTHER problem am having but..when i run the 7.2.1 update i get the message-ALERT-An eligible Logi Pro version was not found in the Applications Folder. THis update requires Logic Pro 7.2.0. Any ideas???? its definately there in applications folder and its definately 7.2.0....

Did you perhaps rename it i.e. Logic Pro 7. 2 ? That will screw it up. It should just say Logic Pro.

HT204053 I let my friend put his ipod on my itunes. I got a new iphone 5 and when i try to update apps,i put in my current apple id and then it asks for his apple id password, which i dont know and i want to get rid of his.

When i try to update my apps, it asks me to put in my password for apple id. I put in my password but then it asks for my friends password for his itunes, because i let him sync his ipod on my itunes. How do i remove his account off my itunes where i dont have to put in his password.

Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

I just want to add what's on my daughter's ipod to the iTunes library, so that she won't lose her music. She's 8, and has some of her favorite Disney tunes on it. I bought the darned thing for her last two years ago, never registered it (cause I forgot), AppleCare wants $30; to boot: she lost the usb cord, so for a whole year we couldn't even charge it up.
Now she just got a new usb cord for her 8th birthday, and I would SIMPLY like to transfer her music into the library. I have a 1st gen Nano, so my library is already up. I just figured out how to see what's on her ipod (thanks to this wonderful forum), figured out what "home sharing" is/does (again, thanks to this forum), but NOW I NEED HELP. Her music interests is starting to grow and I'd like to help her by keeping her faves and adding some new ones.
I've tried drag-n-drop, copy/paste, created a new folder, tried creating a new playlist...I'm outta options.
Here's what I want to do:
1. transfer her music from her ipod into iTunes library
2. without erasing it (and would like to continue adding to it)
3. without syncing it/removing/replacing what's on her device
4. make a playlist/folder for her so that we can keep/continue to build her "library"
5. do it quickly, easily and painlessly

Acrobat is requiring a 6-digit serial number to open the application. My Acrobat serial number is 24 digits. What 6 digits am I supposed to enter to get the app to open?

Ah, I see where you are coming from. This is a bit of "smartness" in Acrobat which I particularly dislike myself.
Your 24 digit serial number will be written like this 1234-1234-1234-1234-1234-1234-1234
What you are expected to do is just start typing. The first 1234 will fill up the first box, then it will "helpfully" jump to the second box. You will keep typing, and it will keep jumping after each four, until the 6 boxes each have four digits. Now you click Next and the 24 digits are checked.

How can i backup my pictures from my macbook pro that doesnt let me log in? I just want to get the pictures i have in it, everything else is not important.

Last night i uninstalled Aperture from my macbook pro 13 inch, 2010. After i restarted my mac (as required) it didnt let me log into my account. I was only able to log into my guest account. Either way, my screen would flicker as if something was wrong. So now im thinking of doing a clean install but first i want to get my pictures. I do have an external hard drive 1tb that i could use.

See if you can get your hands on a firewire cable, and another Mac. If so, target disk mode should solve your problems.

I know that all of the songs are saved in iTunes on my computer. They told me that they were not able to retrieve the pictures from my device. I recently sync'ed my iPod Touch before it broke. Do the photos that I save on my iPod Touch save to iTunes or to my computer when I sync the device? If so, how do I retrieve those pictures from iTunes or from my computer?
Also, if I buy a new iPod Touch how can I transfer my songs from iTunes to the new device?

Photos taken by and saved to the iPod are included in the backup that iTunes makes evetime you sync or if do a manual or iCloud backup.
Per the following the backup includes:
iTunes: About iOS backups
Camera Roll (Photos, screenshots, images saved, and videos taken. Videos greater than 2 GB are backed up with iOS 4.0 and later.)
Note: For devices without a camera, Camera Roll is called Saved Photos.
Thus if you backed up after the photos were taken yuo can restore an iDevice from that backup

Sorry to ask, I've been trying this all day and I've run out of patience.
My camera options says there is not enough space, so I want to take off the pictures from the phone. I have downloaded Blackberry desktop, synced it with the latest iPhoto for my mac, and nothing shows when I select 'Pictures' in the Blackberry desktop app. Even if I navigate manually to the phone via the mac, go through all the folders displayed (inc 'Pictures) no photos show, despite me being able to clearly go through them on the phone. I didn't buy a media card so these pictures are saved to the phone memory. Do I have to get a card before I can remove the pictures? Any help appreciated!

Now i have a simple conversation program and i have to encrypt my content which i talked about, and i did it.
But i don't know hot to decrypt it....
because i don't know how can a string translate to byte[] without encoding....i have such codes like this

And don't use String, or Reader, or readLine, or println(), to cart around encrypted information in the first place. Ciphertext isn't 'text' at all, it is binary data, and String is not a container for binary data, and there is nothing anywhere in Java or anywhere else that says that the round-trip between bytes and chars should work in both directions without data loss.
