i downloaded firefox update, had nothing but troubles since, computer crashing when i try to open, or cursor lag for a long time ie. i try to move to do something it has to think about for 30 seconds to having to pushing reset to get anthing hapening
but still freezes up i put my comp into a very good repair store cost me $119 to only to find no problem with computer, they had it running ,burning , doing everything properly, but they were using ie, as soon as i stoped that and went to firefox, back to lag etc. com bluescreen then crashing when i got home twice so far tried using previous version in system same problem, how do i send my bookmarks from firefox to ie on this system, so i can completely uninstall then reistall a fresh earlier version
I have to agree, fixing something that was working fine and replacing it with the new crap has led me to switch browsers.BIG FAIL MOZILLA
Why do people do this shit.
Turn off updating to keep your good working version or you will be forced to use the new version that is missing some well used features.

This morning, I had my fully charged 5th gen iPod touch. Have had lots of problems with it since updating to iOS8. After briefly using it (successfully may I add), I switched it off to standby. Came back only 10 minutes later, and it would not turn on. Tried all the obvious solutions, even switched out the lightening cord. Apple support could not help, and their only solution is to call. Has anyone else had this problem? Any other solutions other than obvious ones? iTunes no longer even recognizes the iPod. Thank everyone!

About the only other thing to try is let the battery drain, then attempt to charge for 30 minutes and attempt to turn on, otherwise try another cable, and/or different computer, if still no joy most likely dealing with a hardware issue, schedule an appointment with the Genius Bar at your local Apple store and have your iPod evaluated. I am so discusted with this whole thing. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and paid way more than I should have. I could not figure the phone out and now trying to return it but once again having problems. I am old and upset about all the hidden fees I was trying to catch up but each month more charges. I am on social security disability and just can't pay any more of the extra's? I don't want this phone and now it looks like you added time on my old phone for what? that contract was paid? I wish a 1000times we just went to Walmart for a simple plan. I feel like I have been taken advantage of Version to a old person who has had a hard time keeping up with it all. Well if you got the Phone Pggray43 at a Local Corporate store in your Area) you should be able to return it as long as you have all the contents.! Phone, Charger and any other accessories that came with it the Box of Course.. As long as you have not went past the 14 Day return.. the store can go over what you used as in Air Time and Data..
Now if you've went past the 14 Day return you be Liable to pay a E.T.F = Early Termination Fee the fee for this is around $300 so hopefully you have not went past the 14 Day return window the Manager if Available is the one I would talk to tell them your on Social Security and you just can't afford a phone as this I'm sure they'll work with you to get something solved..

While having a perfectly running iTunes and all programs associated, I was notified of the iTunes 10.4 upgrade. After following typical directions, I have had nothing but trouble. First “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 5)” occurred. Following directions found at https://discussions.apple.com/message/15087646#15087646, I now get the following “iTunes.exe - System Error The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is still missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”, Along with “iTunesHelper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)” I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on HP TouchSmart tx2-1275dx. I was one week away from buying an iPad but not if this is what I have to deal with. Please help
I actually managed to resolve this on my own by downloading iTunes from the Apple website and reinstalling iTunes that way. Here's the link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ That should fix your problem. Good luck!

This would be a multistep process. First you would need Firefox on your desktop computer then import the bookmarks from IE into Firefox. Then once the bookmarks are in Firefox they can be synced to Firefox mobile.

If I reply to an email instead of composing a new one, the original message is gone. It is my business. Yahoo mail then will not just the original message, it has all the conversations between me and my customer.
Further, yahoo made itself my default browser. My default has been mozilla firefox for many years but i cannot even pull up firefox anymore.

Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.
Because this erases the drive and installs a new copy of Snow Leopard, you are effectively back to an original factory install of Snow Leopard. -

Firefox doesn't have a built-in emailer, so I'm guessing you are using your provider's webmail site. Each site has different buttons for adding attachments. Do you want to indicate which one you're using to see whether anyone can provide specific comments?
Also, your browser reported to the forum that you are running Forefox 3.6.13, which is a very old version with numerous publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities. Is that version number correct? (You can compare Help > About Firefox) -

It won't load properly, freezes, crashes unexpectedly, won't pull up PDF files from web sites and has issues running with hotmail. I've used Firefox for years and have never had this kind of problem. How do I downgrade to an older version? The new version 4 is obviously not ready to run and is riddled with problems.

Nothing but trouble since signing up for triple play
I should have known from the moment I tried to register for a triple play service online that something was fishy. While trying to register, I could get almost to the end but it would not process. I called for support, who walked through the process with me and again it would not go through. No problem he said, I will honor the online price (which I am still trying to get settled 30 plus days later). As soon as I recieved my first bill for the tripl play bundle I registerd for, I knew it was wrong. I was charged 175.25 for an $89.99 package. If that wasn't bad enough, I was charged for a phone number I didn't have. After a month of trying to seek assistance from a variety of departments which, at one point included waking up to no service at all virtually nothing has been resolved even though several supervisors have assured me it would be resolved on the next bill. After an extrodinary number of "hours" of phone calls trying to get nothing more than what I originally ordered I was directed to set up a new MyVerizon account to access the phone number I was suppossed to have all along. Now all that seemed reasonable until I had to also choose a new primary email (now that I've already notified my contacts of the original change). The straw that broke the camel's back was receiving a new bill not for the amount arranged witha supervisors assistance but rather $216... $94 more than the bundle cost. I have always attempted to be reasonable on the phone even though the frustration has reached the breaking point.
It has become obvious to me that Verizon is not interested in hving me as a new customer and that customer service only provides lip service under the quise of correcting difficulties when in reality it's just a brush off. Even the E-Center (when I fianlly got to them) told me the problem I encounted attempting the online registration happens all the time.
In this day of technology and with verizon claiming to be the "best", it seems strange to me that they can't take of basic customer service and provide a customer with what they ordered. It's also obvious that one department doesn't know what the other is doing as you get shifted around, put on hold, disconnected and hung up on which has resulted in several three-hour phone calls.
Does anyone have ayn idea of how to speak to a human being that is actually cabable of addressing and resolving a problem without making you feel like you are center ring in a three-ring circus?
I will make one more attempt and then it's Comcast... come back. And there is no way I will pay a early termination fee. For what I've been put through, asking for nothing more that the bundle I registered for, Verizon should be paying me to stay. I have reached the point where I am ready to notify the better business bureau, local media and other consumer watchdog alliance.

Not sure what you are asking. If you have downloaded it manually, you have an installer file that you need to run. If you have initiated the update from within Photoshop, that should happen automatically. If you have problems, you need to explain better and provide more details.

My old laptop died but my hard drive was fine, and I was able to retrieve a lot of my data by accessing it through an enclosure. I am not, however, able to retrieve my bookmarks. I can open my old copy of Firefox on my new computer but the bookmarks aren't there, and I never backed them, or my profile up. All Firefox tries to do is update itself, and there aren't any bookmark files that I can find.

I backed up my firefox bookmars, and the file that came out of it is no specific file type. Even in the properties, it just says "File type: File".
So now i'm trying to restore my bookmarks, but I can't open that file. If i try opening the file itself with firefox or any other browser for that matter, I get long pages of text. It does contain my bookmarks, but it's really hard to read. What can i do to fix this?That is a JSON backup.<br />
You need to rename the file and add a .json (lowercase) file extension to make Firefox recognize the file as a JSON backup.
