I am unable to apply my downloaded update. When I try to apply it and restart firefox, it still says 'apply downloaded update now...'. Why can't I apply this update and what do I do about it?
Checked out that link and everything seems to be in order on this machine at this time.
I only have CC installed on this one machine, not even my secondary machine like is permitted. it seems odd that I'm asked to re-accept the Licence Agreement as often as I am. If I had to guess, it's almost every week, if not multiple times some weeks, that all the software will decide I should have to view the licence agreement.
Edit: I've never had any noticeable "errors" activating or anything like that. I just get asked to do it quite frequently.
This activation screen isn't too annoying (it involves clicking one single button), but like I stated earlier, if I'm trying to launch the software by double-clicking on a PSD, AI, PPROJ, AEP, etc... that file will fail to open.
I feel like that's probably not really a bug, but it is frustrating, since I did launch the application with the intent to edit that specific file I tried to open.
Again, something that you guys may consider working on.
Another annoyance is that: agreeing to the licence agreement is a per-application task, so if I see that Licence Agreement dialogue window by opening Photoshop (for example), I know that every other piece of software I have in the suite (Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Audition) will be showing me that screen on it's next launch. Probably deliberate for legal purposes that I can't just agree once for the whole suite, but heck, it would save me a lot of minor headaches if it was a unified agreement. -

Recently downloaded new software and now all of my wife's contacts appear in my contacts. How do I change this?
I suggest creating a separate AppleID for iCloud for each individual and using the same one for iTunes. By having a separate one for iCloud you can keep your contacts separated, have more iCloud storage (5 gigs each instead of sharing 5 gigs) and each have your own iMessage contact. Otherwise you both will be able to see each others imessages. You can still use the same AppleID for the iTunes Store to share music and app purchases. The iPhone "Settings" has different location for inputting your iCloud and iTunes AppleID.

I got a new computer and now iTunes is telling me it can't sync with two computers, it's telling me it will erase what's on my iPad and re-sync. Will I lose my iPad data that's on it?
No - not at all. Look at that one app that I gave you the link for. That is supposed to transfer all of the iPad content to the new computer. I have no idea how much it costs, but it's worth a look. There are other out there as well. Google "apps to transfer iPad content to computer" or something to that effect. These apps claim to transfer everything.
Several things to remember - you can still transfer all of the iTunesicon tent that you purchased by using the Transfer Purchases option in iTunes. Just remember to turn off auto syncing before you do it. You will also have to authorize your new computer to transfer the purchase if you haven't done so already. From the iTunes menu on your computer go to Store> Authorize this computer.
Plus any apps or music that you have bought can be downloaded again at no charge with the cloud feature in the latest iPad iOS.
EDIT - I see that you did transfer the purchases. Look at one of those apps that I described and they should be able to get you set up. You should also invest in an external hardrive for backing up all of your computer content ... don't want this to happen again!

in the finder, in devices where the pen name appears. I dragged to the desktop and now whenever I put my pen can not find it. but I know it is connected because when shooting says he was ejected.
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). When I downloaded Creative Cloud it made me set up an account, download, verify my email. Now when I go and double click or right click and run, or right click and run as an administrator, Creative Cloud does nothing.................. I just want to download a trial of Photoshop to see if it will let me edit my images the way I need them done... If it works I plan on purchasing it because I will need to edit pictures repeatedly. It is quite frustrating when I try and download Photoshop and it makes me download this other thing to make it more "seemless" but then it doesn't even work. Now when I go to try and download Photoshop it just redirects to the Creative Cloud website and pops up saying it has to open something outside of Google Chrome. If I hit cancel, it does nothing (obviously), if it hit launch, it still does nothing...................... What am I doing wrong here???

Since auto download of an update to y Epson Workforce 630, I can't scan
My Mini downloaded the update for the Epson workforce 630 2 nights ago. The Mac no longer recognizes the scanner. I can print and copy from the Mini but no scanning. I get a comm error saying the scanner is not connected. When I try to use image capture, the mini can't find the scanner. Where can I go to repeat the download. I am on OS 10.9.4
My Epson's work normally after the latest > Epson Printer Drivers v2.18 for OS X Update.
I would also do the 10.9.4 Combo Update as suggested by IIIaass.
Then if that does not solve your problem, go to the > Epson Support Site and follow the instructions for downloading the ICA Scanner Driver for Image Capture. -

Please take these steps to restore administrator privileges to your account. This somewhat tedious procedure is only necessary if you've confirmed that no administrator account exists on the system.

Start up in Recovery mode. The OS X Utilities screen will appear.

Take this step only if you use FileVault 2. Launch Disk Utility, then select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.

At the login screen, click Other... Enter "root" (without the quotes) in the Name field, and enter the password you set in Step 3 in the Password field. You should now be logged in as root. This is a potentially dangerous condition. Do nothing while logged in as root except as indicated below. You'll be fine as long as you don't deviate from the plan.
Open the Users & Groups preference pane. Select your usual administrator account in the list of users and check the box marked
Allow user to administer this computer
You'll be prompted to restart. Do that and log in as yourself—not as root. Your administrator status should now be restored.
Step 6 (optional, but recommended)
Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Disable the root user." You must authenticate in Directory Utility as "root" with the password you set in Step 3. Authenticating as another administrator won't work.

June 10 2012 Firefox automatically updated itself (no choice) on my Intel Mac/Tiger 10.4.11. I can no longer use Firefox. I have an old version of Firefox on my Mac G4, but am scared to use that machine in case that Firefox also automatically updates itself. How can I transfer a copy of that older version of Firefox (from the G4) to the Intel Mac, and how do I stop both versions from then automatically updating? How do I then remove the updated version of Firefox from the Intel Mac, which I cannot use? Thank you for your help.

after install the 3.6.28 version go to: Options > Advanced > Update tab > Firefox updates, check mark '''Never check for updates (not recommended: security risk)''', click Ok to save it, exit firefox and restart it.

I am trying to get some advice as to why my Ipod will not completely sync since I updated Itunes. Itunes keeps telling me it can not sync my Ipod due to a duplicate file name? It will sync some of my songs but not all of them. Any thoughts?
Most likely the iPod filesystem is corrupted, during a partial sync, that freeze due to a timeout.
In My Computer, select the iPod, right click Properties->Tools->Check Now
tick both Fix filesystem and scan.for bad sectors.
This will fix the duplicate name error.

Upon start up I get a "start up disk full message, delete files". Now on startup I only get a blue screen. How do I get past the blue screen and how do I delete files.
That;s really not enough free space... you can use a tools such as OmniDiskSweeper to find out where your large files reside and begin pruning (or copying to an external if they're files that you want to keep).
One thing is certain - if you're going to continue your current usage you're certainly going to need to install a larger boot drive.

My film I rented has not fully downloaded I only realised that when it stopped 15 minutes before the end , how do I know when a film has been fully downloaded. Oi would not have thought the film would not have started unless the film was fully downloaded. The film warned me prior to tarting that I only had 48 hours to watch once starting!
