I DOWNLOADED IOS 7 ON MY IPAD 4 WIFI/CELL WITH A PASSCODE THAT HAS

I HAVE AN APPLE IPAD 4 WITH WIFI/CELL. I DOWNLOADED THE NEW IOS 7 LAST NIGHT, AND INPUT A "PASSCODE". BUT MY PASSCODE HAS BOTH 3"S & LETTERS.
WHEN I TURNED ON MY IPAD THERE IS NO KEYBOARD. SO I CAN NOT TYPE IN MY LETTERS. WHAT POPS UP WHEN I TURN ON THE IPAD LOOKS LIKE AN ADDING MACHINE. SO IT WILL ONLY ALLOW ME TO INPUT #'S.
WHEN I FILLED OUT THE INFO. LAST NIGHT IT (APPLE) DID NOT TELL ME "NOT TO USE LETTTERS". APPLE ACCEPTED MY PASSCODE YESTERDAY. SO WHY NBOT GIVE ME THE PROPER STYLE OF KEYBOARD, SO I COULD PUIT IN MY CORRECT PASSCODE?
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME??

No, it's not in the store. If you have iOS 5+ on the iPad then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update option on the iPad so you can update directly on it. If you have iOS 4 then you can only update via your computer's iTunes

After updating IOS many people have the same problem that the mic no longer works and Apple say it is a hardware problem. Rubbish! Plug in an apple earphone and then try it. (Apple earphones have 4 sections on the jack plug, must be this type.) Mic works fine so obviously it is a problem in the new IOS and this is a way around it!

You can't.
There is no longer iOS 7 available and no longer anyway to obtain or download it.
The current iOS version is iOS 8.0.2.
I would NOT advise updating your iPad at this time.
iOS 8, IMO, is still plenty buggy and NOT ready for older iPad 2 and 3 devices, as yet.
DO NOT UPDATE!
I would suggest waiting it out until, at least iOS 8.1 is, eventually, released.

I have tried to do a reset using the sleep button and home key and all I get is a white band across the screen and then it boots into the main system but it is just a series of white lines going across the screen, how can I do a restore on this?

When I try to do so, plugging a USB chord into the iPad and my Mac laptop, I do not see the iPad symbol in the Mac's lefthand column (which was the supposed step needed to find and click on an update link). Without iOs 5.0 I can't update certain apps that require it, e.g., Pages and iWriter. Can anyone help?

Your iPad is not being recognized in iTunes. Try restarting the Mac and the iPad and then connect again and see if the iPad is recognized.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

You must be running iTunes 10.5 on the Mac as well in order to update the iPad to iOS 5. If you haven't updated to 10.5, download and install iTunes 10.5 and that may help with the iPad being recognized as well.

My iPad 3 does not have the Panorama option either with iOS 8, in spite of the manual describing it.

Have been struggling with Network Connection Timeout and couldn't download IOS 4.2 before I found this fix.
I have now (finally) successfully downloaded IOS 4.2 for iPad.
You can download the iOS 4.2 update directly from appldnld.apple.com/iPad/ in your favorite download manager without iTunes.
I'm using Firefox (Win-7) and the download manager add-on.
As the download is stopped numerous times without reason
(I suspect server overload), you'll have to reclick on the download manager box numerous times to complete the download.
Once the iPad1,14.2.1_8C148Restore.ipsw file is downloaded, connect the iPad to the computer, launch iTunes and press Shift + Update button to upgrade your iPad iOS.
Go to the folder where you saved the download and open it.
Voila.
