I downloaded ios8 on my laptop, and when i was updating it, the screen gave me the logo connect to itunes, i tried to restart it in all the ways, but it didn't work!!!!!! i need a solution, my phone is USELESS and i need it badly!!!!

i need to know how can i fix my phone, after it gave me the black screen with the connect to itunes logo!!!!!!!! I NEED THE PHONE, and i can't have another one now, it is night!!!!!

If you are seeing the "Connect to iTunes" logo, then your device is in Recovery Mode, and you will need to restore it:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

You must log into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and log in.
Also, if you have the cloud icon next to tracks in iTunes that means the initial scan, match and upload process is not complete yet. You should wait for it to complete before enabling the service in your iPhone.

this usually appears when your iphone is not registered correctly with apple/itunes so plug it in to your computer and try setting it up if it gives you the correct prompt. if not try to restore and sync. usually tis problem appears when your iphone has no sim card or is not registered correctly. in this case you need to contact your carrier and set up an account. if you are trying to use it without a service or sim card then unless you go through some sketchy program of hacking it it is worthless to you without a sim or service plan. i have the original iphone1 i got from a buddy of mine i used as an ipod before getting an iphone4 and if i took the sim out this message appears. if you do have a sim and a service plan than there might be a problem with the phone reading the sim card you you can go into your service provider's store and request a new sim to see if that works.

Also when I am trying to connect ipad to my windows PC, it shows, your software is up to date and later starts restoring while updating again. Then automatically it stops to update halfway and I have to repeat the process again and again, still in vain.

I am having the same issue. My son misplaced his iPod touch and we recently found it under his bed. He then came to me saying he could not remember what his password was and the screen said it was disabled and to connect it to iTunes. iTunes says it needs to be unlocked. I have tried turning it off and then holding down the home key and then plugging it in but it fails to go into restore mode. If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access.

Yes I worked previously but it's now not working. I did double click home botton and terminate the maps many time but still not working.
The standard maps just not show any route only the blue dot (my location.) I really don't know what to do. Btw, I used to live in SF but now I'm traveling to Thailand. One of my friend is using iPhone 4S as well but his maps is working. So I guess it is about its application on my phone...

The screen to my iPhone 4 went completely black. Ive tried turning it on and off, plugging it in, restoring it from my iTunes but the screen stays black. It connects to iTunes and when i plug it in, it vibrates like I have a text.

Why does the screen turn black? I was using it normally and it all of a sudden faded to black and hasnt come back on since yesterday. You can see the back light but no image on the screen. If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
