(1) Uninstall speed4mac.
(2) If that doesn't solve your problem(s), use your backup to restore your system to its state just prior to installing this software.

Thanks. That solved it. I had my doubts since I wasn't concerned about my lost bookmarks. I was concerned about the broken functionality. In any event, restoring from a backup solved both the functionality and the lost bookmarks. I appreciate the response!

Photoshop CC 2014 downloads when programme has been removed from computer.

I had downloaded the Photoshop CC2014, Lightroom 5 and Bridge on trials but owing to a computer malfunction had to remove them.
I wish to again download the trials but when the CC Installer has been run it tells me that Photoshop CC2014 is "up to date" yet it is no longer on the computer. Lightroom and Bridge would be able to be installed.
Any suggestions as to how I can overcome this Photoshop problem would be appreciated

I would like to thank those who helped with this problem.
I have resolved the various issues. .I am using Windows 8.1 and tried various "Restore" points which helped but did not cure the problem. I downloaded and used the Adobe Creative Cloud clean-up tool which certainly helped. I then used an older version (todays version just would not run) of the Creative Cloud installer in the end and I was then able to download and install Photoshop. For some reason Lightroom 5 did not work properly but as this was listed in "Programs and Features" I was able to uninstall it; the Creative Cloud installer then enabled me to download that programme properly.

I was recently attacked by registry dr and conduit malware. Malware has been removed, but since then thunderbird is slow and doesn't respond. How do I fix it?

I was attached by registry doctor and several conduit malware programs. I had the malware removed from my computer. But ever since them thunderbird has been very slow or not resonding at all. l have uninstalled and reinstalled thunderbird twice. The first time it seemed like it fixed the problem for a few minutes, but then it stopped respondig.
I have tried opening in safe mode, and the first time it seemed like it worked better, but before long it stopped responding.
Any idea what the problem is and what to do about it?

Are the apps/games compatible with your model iPod and iOS?
Do you have restrictions set that prevent installing the apps? Settings>General>Restrictions

Just what error message are you getting?
Are you trying to redownload them directly to the iPod?
If you are getting an error message that included Open GL 2 or similar that means that the app requires that but only the 3G and later iPods support that.

Lastly since upgrading to iOS 7.0.1 (and beyond) Genuis has become effectively useless: it continually asks me to connect to wi-fi, and if I do it creates playlists mostly composed of tracks by the same artists or those very obviously linked to them- previously it created brilliant, nuanced playlists.
Are these things connected, and how do I fix them?

I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think!

OK, I think I understand what's happening.
Movies are now stored in iCloud: see http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2012/03/movies-now-available-on-icloud .html
So they may take a while to download to your Mac. Movies are big, after all.
I believe you can guarantee the movie stays on your Mac by going to Preferences (in the iTunes menu at the top), and going to the "Advanced" tab, and checking "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library".

I have the same issue witha slight variation. The app icons that are grayed out and cannot be deleted are DUPLICATES of other apps that I already have. For instance I now have 2 Redbox apps - one works normally, the other cannot be opened or deleted.
