I downloaded the 64-bit version of iTunes by mistake.  How do I replace it with the proper version?

The question is pretty much self-explanatory.  iTunes still works for me but I get an error message every time I log on my PC times five!  The only choice that I seem to get now for upgrades is the 64-bit version.  Please advise.
Thanks!

Uninstall iTunes from computer, reinstall correct version.

    Hi micjhal,
Call them up! If you look on your receipt it'll indicate you have 14-days to return it (if bought at a retail store) and 30-days if bought through the online store.

  • The apple id on the update page is not my id.  How to i replace it with my id?

The apple id that pops up when I try to update from the apple store is not my id.  How do i get rid of the erroneous id & us my id?

Delete and redownload the applications you’re trying to update; the other Apple ID is stored inside them, and is independent of the one signed into the iTunes Store.

  • HT1347 I'm having trouble importing a CD into my iTunes library, then finding it later.  Using the newest version of iTunes, and I had no problems doing this with the older version..

Today I was prompted to update iTunes, which I don't use that often.  I found it was the newest version.  Now, however, when I try to add a CD to my Library, I cannot find it.  When I click import CD, it does not give me an option on where to save it to.  I didn't have any trouble with the older version of iTunes, but now I am completely confused.  I have read the file on Learn about iTunes, and it only tells me how to do it on the older version.  Can someone please tell me how to do this now?  I'd really appreciate it!
Oh, my OS is Windows Vista.

iMac optical drive problems are often attributable to heat. The newer Intel iMacs aren't as bad as the 1st Gen G5s were (I know... I had one), but Apple optical drives tend to "flake out" when they get hot, and in iMacs, they get hot quickly. Near the end of my iMac's life, I was ONLY able to use the optical drive within the first five minutes after booting up. After that, it wouldn read, write or even accept a disc.
If yours works right after a long sleep or shut down, but then goes to failing, it's probably heat.

  • I made a mistake & loaded the version of Firefox (4) that my computer cannot support. Now I am unable to use it. How can I replace it with the latest one I had previously (3.6.20)?

It's my own fault. I was warned that my old iMac (running only on Tiger) was not capable of receiving Firefox 4. But I did an experiment and tried loading it anyway.
Now, a disabled version of Firefox, that I cannot open, is the only version of Firefox on my computer. I'm sure it made everything I was using on Firefox disappear!
Is there some way to replace this disabled version with the latest one I CAN support?

Downgrading from Firefox 4 to Firefox 3.6.20
    1. Visit ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.20/mac/
    2. Find your language and Open Firefox 3.6.20 folder
    3. Download and install Firefox setup file (3.6.20 dmg)
You’ll be automatically downgraded to Firefox 3.6.20 and your favorite add-ons, bookmarks and settings will remain untouched.
    thank you

  • I Have Purchased CS6 English Version, SO how can I replace it with the MENA version????

    PLEASE HELP!!!
I'm working in UAE - Abu Dhabi, I bought the CS6 from your store here (Graphiest), the problem is that I got the English Version which means no Arabic for Illustrator and InDesign which i really need, so now what should i do to get the MENA Version to enable the arabic options in all CS6???
    Please Advice...

    Hi Ahmed,
Creative Cloud members can select from any language in which the CS6 individual applications are available. Unlike owning the traditional licensed version of a Creative Suite product, Creative Cloud membership gives the freedom and flexibility to choose whichever language works best for the customer in any given application without having to request a swap.
In order to switch the language in an application customer will have to go to Adobe Application Manager preferences and change the language as per their requirement and then download the product in question.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks,
    Hema

  • How can I replace iMovieHD with an earlier version?

I have iMovie 6.0.1 and I really miss 5.0.2. can I "downgrade?" how? sorry if this question has been asked before. I was sure it must have been, but I couldn't find it. many thanks!

Thanks so much, Sue. You've answered my question. Do you suppose this would work with, say, iTunes too?
    some more thoughts on why:
    1) why not? seriously.
    2) sometimes newer is not necessarily better.
    3) heck, sometimes I even miss OS9!
    thanks again. appreciate the help.

  • I cracked the screen on my iPhone 4s, I have AppleCare  will they replace it with the iPhone 5 since it's a 32GB?

    Hi,
I have AppleCare+ and I've already cracked my screen once. Well I know that before the iPhone 5 came out, if I cracked it again, I'd just recieve a new 32GB iPhone 4S.
Now that the iPhone 5 is out and the 32GB version of the iPhone 4S is no longer available, will I be upgraded to the iPhone 5 32GB model?
Please let me know if you can help.
    Thank you!

Do they happen to have ALL of the older models? I don't really like the 5 that much, but I was hoping to pay an upcharge and get a 64GB model.
Do you know if they do/allow this?

  • HT201269 I had an old PowerMac and now i have the MacBook Pro.  I am not use to the new iTunes.  I use to be able to drag music that I had added onto my computer from a CD to my iPhone or iTouch.  How do I do that with the new iTunes?

I have CDs that I want to import onto my new MacBook Pro to my iPhone.  I am not use to the new iTunes with the Mountain Lion software.  I had an old PowerMac that had the Leopard software and I was able to drag those songs to my iPhone.  I can't find that option.  When I find the song I want to add to my iPhone, I tried dragging it to the top when it shows that my iPhone is connected with iTunes.  Or how do i do this with the Cloud?  I am new to that as well.  Seems like it just held my purchased songs from iTunes.

iCloud only has content purchased (or free) from iTunes. Ripped music or music from other sources is only on your computer. As the iPhone can only sync with one computer at a time you should copy the iTunes folder from the old computer to the new one. It's in the Music folder on the old one, just copy the entire folder to the Music on the new computer. When you first sync your iPhone content will be replaced by the content of the new computer.
You can optionally enable iTunes Match. This searches the non-iTunes content in iTunes or on your iPhone and finds the original digital version on the Internet if it exists. This then becomes your backup. If you have music that it cannot find it will upload it to your cloud storage, but you may have to pay for the storage if it is over 5 GB total (along with your backup). iTunes content and Match content are not included in the 5 GB free limit.
Usually to fix mail issues just delete the account, reset (reboot) the phone by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears, and adding the email account(s) back.

I have been messing with this and 4 other problems on this laptop for the last 32 hours. I'm getting tired and frustrated. Also, I haven't even put music on THIS Laptop because on my other one, I ended up with at least 5 copies of EACH SONG. Let's see 636 X 5 = 3,180 and they were in EVERY POSSIBLE LOCATION!!!

Since I have the newest version of itunes, I can't back up like normally. The only way is to considilate files and then put them on an external drive which I don't have. Are there any other options? If I can't back up to a disc like I used to, can I instead just keep everything on my ipod and then if I have to get a new computer or something just download all my songs from the ipod to my new computer's itunes? Will that work? Will I still be able to keep all my songs that way?

I'm going to assume the consolidating files does not work due to hard drive space limitations.
Since you're moving to Windows 7, have you tried using the Windows files and settings transfer utility?  That will move everything for you to the same location on the new computer, it also allows some control over what actually gets moved.
Alternatively, if you know the location of all of the media, it can be manually moved by copying it from the old computer to the new computer in the same location.
Also, using the Apple article on moving the library, take a slight twist on what it says.  Move the iTunes library to the external drive, update the settings in iTunes to reflect the library being on the external drive, then consolodate it.
The options are endless for moving the library... it simply takes a little effort to make it happen and possibly a twist on existing "standard" methods depending on your unique situation.
