I downloaded the newest iOS 7.1 and safari no longer works on ipad2

I postponed downloading the newest iOS 7.1 for my ipad2 because it seems whenever I update the software something inevitably crashes.
I went ahead and downloaded iOS 7.1 and now Safari does not work at all. I've had to breakdown and use google chrome instead.
Someone please help!

I tried that and a reset and still i cannot get my Safari to work. I open safari and it opens as a blank. pressing on any of the buttons or items in the application and after a while poof... it disappears and I am back to the home screen! I have an Ipad mini and since all the links I click open Safari , my ipad is now usless in that regard.
I cant change to another browser as a default browser to open the links.
Can anyone help?

Go into your bluetooth settings and forget all the connections. Then Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, and try it again.

Is he getting your SMS messages (green) or your iMessages (blue). If SMS message, go to Settings>Messages and turn off Text Forwarding. If blue, are you sharing an Apple ID? You should each have your own.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

What's the precise text of that error message, please? (There's a few different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. Most likely your system simply doesn't have enough juice to deal with it or the required graphics hardware acceleration is misconfigured and needs a new driver....

Try a reset ...
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I had the same problem. I did the reset networks on my iPhone & it did not work. My husband read somewhere that changing the channel on the router to manual & selecting the highest available channel number might help. I did that & it solved the problem. I have not had the problem since.

Hello, Everyone--any help you could give would be greatly appreciated since I am freaking out a bit about this!
I have had iTunes since April when I got my iPod mini. I have downloaded the newer version of iTunes any time it has prompted me to do so when I open iTunes.
So, tonight it tells me there is a newer version. I download it just like always, but this time, when I double click on iTunes, nothing happens. So, I read some of the other posts on here and followed some of the directions like going in to the add/remove hardware and seeing if it's there and then repairing it. I did just that--it's there and it repaired it, but to no avail. I am stressing out now. Now, when I go to shut down my computer, it takes several minutes to shut down--and it never did that before. My computer is newer and was working fine until this happened. Yes, Quicktime appears to be working fine. I am just wondering if I did something wrong or if there is a HUGE flaw with this new iTunes version since it would appear others are also experiencing technical difficulties. Any help any of you could give would be greatly appreciated! I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with the Windows XP operating system. And once again, I have never had problems with iTunes until today. Oh--and when I plug in my iPod, that doesn't pull iTunes up either now. HELP!!!

I don't know whom to thank first-- b noir for telling me about the Lorraine fix or Lorraine for figuring out the fix. THE LORRAINE FIX WORKED FOR ME!!! (I feel a little like I am advertising "Hooked on Phonics" with that last line!)
Thank you doesn't say it strongly enough, but THANK YOU b noir and Lorraine for your help. I was to the boiling point last night and starting to get there tonight. Now I am resting easy and thankful that there is a community of computer users out there who care enough to troubleshoot problems together and work together to figure out a solution--and then to take the time to post and share information.
I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone who is having the iTunes issues where iTunes just plain won't open at all after downloading the newest version and has a pc with Norton Internet Security 2005 try the "Lorraine Method."
I am so happy I think I might sing. Or not--I will let my songs on iTunes do the singing for me now that I can again!!!!!!!
And to those still looking for answers--be patient--I now know how incredibly frustrating this can be and I hope that you all find your solutions very very soon!!
