I downloaded the numbers app but when I click on the icon it won't open on my iMac.

I downloaded the numbers app on my imac and it completed the download, but now when I click on the Icon it wont open. What am I doing wrong?

The app delivered for iOS can't run under OSX on a mac.
The app delivered for OSX on a mac can't run under iOS on iPhone or iPad.
They are different products.
I repeat that to run Numbers on you iMac you must buy Numbers for OSX delivered on Mac App Store or, if you are running an old operating system (older than 10.6.6) you may download the iWork's 30 days free trial version, install it, update it as iWork 9.0.4 and buy a registration code thru Apple Store.

I use iTunes Match so I can't confirm this on my computer (my Music tab looks different), but as I recall, on the Music tab you have the option to check to sync selected playlists, artists and genres, and then check which playlists you want to sync below that. Then, like songs, you would uncheck the playlists you don't want on your phone and sync to remove them.

How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.
If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.

You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....

How do I know that Foxfire has found a virus/trojan? I see the foxfire logo, but when I click on the protect button, it wants me to download an other site.

After checking out a few sites, a Security Alert appears on my screen with the FOXFIRE logo and a list of Virus/Trojan with critical and high risk. At the bottom of this Alert it request that to protect I click button. When I do an other window pops-up requesting me to download a site that will remove the virus/Trojans. It said if I don't my computer will crash. I have not done this, but in the past I had something like this happen and I downloaded a site that requested that I pay money, before they would remove virus/Trojan. My question is HOW DO I TELL IF THE SECURITY ALERT IS FROM FOXFIRE and how to remove the virus/Trojans that Foxfire has discovered.

Firefox will not open, it is not running in the task manager, but when I click on the icon, it will not open a firefox screen.

In the Task Manager, make sure to check both the Applications tab and the Processes tab. On the Processes tab, Firefox may have two different components running: firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe. Well, in 3.5.11, it would be only the first one.

A couple things to try.
1) Quit the App Store, wait a few minutes, then open it and check the Purchases tab. Is there a progress bar.

Sometimes your security software will block new programs from accessing the internet. Are you getting any alerts along those lines?
Sometimes Firefox will stall during startup and never display its window. In that case, you may need to manually "kill" the firefox.exe process using the Windows Task Manager before trying to start Firefox again.
You can display the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Esc. Windows 8.1 has a different display than Windows 7, so I have to go by memory. If you see a tab named Applications, check that one first. Then check Processes, and finally check Details. If you find Firefox or firefox.exe on any of those tabs, select it and End Process (or other action to shut it down).
After you are done with the Task Manager, try starting Firefox up again.

More compatible are OpenOffice or NeoOffice. Also if you are using a PowerPC Mac you may not be able to use the most recent Office anyway. Make sure the version of Office you get is compatible with your Mac. PPC indicates PowerPC, which was only found on Macs early 2006 and older. Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to determine which CPU is on your Mac. If it says G3, G4, or G5 it is PowerPC. If it says Intel Core you can upgrade to Snow Leopard minimum and possibly the latest Office, if it says Intel Core2Duo (with the 2 in the middle) or Core i with some number you may be able to upgrade to Lion, but certainly no trouble wiht the latest Office.
