I have downloaded the trial version of InDesign CVS5 but can't open the program.

First time I've used the forum, don't know if my first question was sent. Here it is again: InDesign seems to be attached to my task bar. When I open my file the InDesign icon showing the name of my file appears on the task bar and a small dialogue box CS Live appears at the top of my screen. I can't open my file. I did try with a right click but it didn't open and there was an option to pin or unpin to the taskbar. Nothing happened with that either.
I then deleted that download version and tried to install Adobe InDesign CS2 and that wasn't successful either. I am trying to find out if it is compatible with this new super doper pc I've bought which is Windows 7, Intel4 Core processor, 6gb ram, 1Tb HD, 64bit. I'm desperate to continue work on a book for a client and can't get into it.

Glad that you replied.
I used Windows 8.1 to download the trial version of Photoshop and Premeir Pro but both gave me similar problem.
For the Photoshop, the message I got was " Update Failed. Download error. Press retry again or contact customer support(49)" So I pressed "Retry" but to no avail.
For the Premier Pro, the message I got was "Installation succeeded, but a patch failed." When I pressed "Learn More", the message is the same as above".
Please advise me what to do next.

I'm trying to download the trial version of Adobe Premeire pro for the 1st time using the creative cloud and it won't completely download. It gives me a download error and "learn more" message link. When I click on it it says to contact customer support. What am I doing wrong?

Why can't I download the trial version of Indesign?

I have trial several times to download the trial version of Indesign after recently joining the Creative Cloud. It just keeping spinning in the Apps window at the top right hand corner of my screen.

How do I download the trial version of Photoshop Extend?

I am trying to download the trial version of Photoshop Extend but I am having problems doing so. My computer meets all the system requirements, I have cleared out my temp files and tried switching web browsers from Windows Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. Nothing works. I go to the trial download page for Photoshop Extend, select the drop-down menu for "English/Windows/815.5" and click "Download". In Windows Explorer, I get that exclamation mark over the pointing finger then I'm directed to the page that says, "try again". Basically the same thing in Firefox. Why can't I download this program?

Turn off windows internet explorer popup blocker.
If your on a router turn off windows firewall. Most routers already have a builtin firewall and using 2 firewalls does not help matters in downloading.

Can I download the trial version of photoshop and use it as the full version with my serial number?

I have photoshop 6.0 on my current computer, I got in in college 4 years ago and the disc subsequently came to a tragic end after a collision with my dogs teeth T_T I still have the serial number though. My problem is I've just bought a new computer and I was told that to transfer photoshop to my new computer I had to deactivate it on my old computer and then download the trial version using the original serial number. Will this work?

I am trying to download the trial version of After Effects for testing. I downloaded Edge animate from the cloud several months ago with no probelem. Safari says it can not open the address. Is this a firewall issue? I am trying to convince my boss to allow me to subscribe to the creative cloud but so far this is not helping running into to techical difficulties this early in the process. Thanks for any response.
UPDATE: I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Creative Cloud download app. It seems to have downloaded and installed fine but when I go to download a trial app nothing happens, nor do I know what to do. The creative cload window opens in my mac and that's all. Any suggestions.
I have also noticed the CC icon on the top title bar of my mac remains dim, don't know if that is an issue. The only options it gives me is Help, Open as window and Close Creative Cloud. What gives?

We being a state agency, we have many security measures in place on our servers. It seems that all IT had to do was make an addition to our proxy. Problem solved. Everything downloaded fine and is working great. Now the fun/work begins.
