I downloaded version 3.6.12 and now Firefox can't connect to websites

I had version 3.6.9 installed, then I downloaded version 3.6.12 and now Firefox can't connect to websites. It says "Unable to connect." I followed all the instructions on the help page about checking my firewall and removing then re-adding Firefox to the list of safe programs, but it still won't work. Is there any way I can re-download version 3.6.9? Or does anyone know what else I can try?

I found my problem. I had an expired version of Norton Internet Security that didn't uninstall properly, but I was able to remove it with the Norton Removal Tool and now Firefox works.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I downloaded version 4 this morning and now Firefox won't open. I use XP. It is going in taskmgr but not opening up.

I have tried everything to get the new 4.0 to open. I did the upgrade this morning and have been working on it all day, When I tried installing it several times FF was running so I closed it down via task mgr. Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

If you right-click on your Photoshope.exe, select Properties, there should be a Compatibility tab. There you can select Windows XP, Windows 2000, Winows 98 or 95. One of these should allow you to open Photoshop 6, unless you mean CS6.

Do you want to try to reopen its window again? If you choose not to reopen windows, you may have to open and position the window yourself. There are 2 options: Don't Reopen or Reopen Either choice leads to a window that pops upend says please wait while we launch Acrobat and then window just closes quickly.

You may goto control panel and then go to program and features.
Select the Acrobat pro and chose the option change from the top. Fallow the onscreen instruction a windows will pop up where you need to choose repair.

No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again. Possibility for the error is if you have Photoshop using an additional Plugins folder. This is a preference set in your Photoshop Preferences>Plugins.
Uncheck the Use Additional Plugins folder, then quit and restart Photoshop.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Even my 12 year old Mac lets me download the newest iTunes. Of course I can't install it but any computer can download the installer files so we need to know precisely what you are trying and what error messages you are seeing.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
