I downloaded what's app and snap chat and it keeps coming up about connect to I tunes to turn on push notifications. I'm connected and turned them on but it still says I haven't when I have opened the app. Any ideas how to solve it?

Try quitting the app out of your multitasking bar, and then resetting (hold power an home buttons til device shuts off and comes back on).

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? Do you have a copy of it anywhere e.g. on your computer's iTunes, or on a backup of your library ? If you have it on a backup then you should be prompted to authorise the account (and I think that the id will show) if you try to add it to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library.

If you have a registered Adobe ID, then you need to sign up at Adobe.com with the same credentials.
Go into your account and get your serial number to download Acrobat on your system.

If you have enough room on the boot drive, head to System Preferences > Accounts and create another Admin Account, log out and into it and try your Software Update again.
If this doesn't work, connect a Ethernet cable to the router or modem (power off/on) and try again.
If this doesn't work then run through this list of fixes.

Could you please specify how exactly did you transfer Acrobat from one MAC to other.
You might need to deactivate the software from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number (for Acrobat license) or Adobe credentials (for Acrobat subscription).
If you have done the same way, then let me know if you are able to open Acrobat itself.
Do you get any specific error message while opening a PDF?
