I downloaded yosemite now can't get my new emails

Hi All'
I downloaded Yosemite, and now find I can't get my new emails. When I logged on my little notification popped up in the right hand corner of my screen showing i had 11 new emails, so I opened mail as usual and the emails are not there.
Any ideas please?
Ps I am a computer numpty I admit it, so simple solution if possible please.

The mailbox list is divided into categories with headings in caps, such as ON MY MAC. When you hover the cursor over one of those headings (except for MAILBOXES), you should see the word Show or Hide on the right. Click Show. The MAILBOXES category can't be hidden.
In each category, the mailboxes are arranged in groups, such as Inbox. To the left of each group is a small disclosure triangle. If the triangle points to the right, click it so that it points down. Only the messages in the selected mailboxes will be displayed in the message list.

Since you never updated your MacOS X or iPhoto, it will be difficult to update now without the help of Apple Support. There is a bug that makes it difficult. You could use the "quick link" to Apple Support on the main AppStore page to contact Apple Support for help.
Or try to buy a new version. When I look at the AppStore, the price has now changed to "Free", so it should not matter if you buy again or update.
Delete iPhoto from Applications, but do not empty the Trash.
Go to the first page of the App Store and sign in with your AppleID.
Search for "iPhoto" using the Search field.
What does the button below the iPhoto icon show? If it is showing "Free" like for me, click "free" to purchase again.

I'm sorry you're having issues with your e-mail account on your phone Rusty1112. Let's figure out what's going on. First, please try deleting account/information again and then restart phone. When phone is back on, try adding e-mail account again, and be sure you're entering exactly as you set up, meaning its case-sensitive. If you're still getting same error, please let us know and let us know what e-mail account it is, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc.

I just received an update from HP. I downloaded and now can't get rebooted. suggestions

I have a HP Touchsmart with Windows Vista 64 bit. I received notice of needed update from HP. When downloaded, cannot now get rebooted. Frozen at blinking cursor.

Not sure which model you have, but you may be able to either boot into safe mode (press F8 a lot as it boots) or go into the recovery manager (usually F11 at startup) and choose the option to do a system retore (not recovery) to the last known good restore point..

I have mozilla thunderbird email but I can't get any new emails.

I've had Mozilla thunderbird for quite a while and have never had any problem with my emails. however, I now can't receive any a all and the 'green bar' is just moving backwards and forwards with the message 'downloading message 1 of 30' but the emails never download. I've been in touch with EE who are my internet provider and they say I'll have to ask Thunderbird.
they've given me my IN and OUT plus IN and OUT port but I don't know what else to do.

Account hacked, now can't get a new account set up

a week ago, my Skype account was hacked and used for international calls. I contacted Skype, chatted with a cust services rep and was advised to completely close down that account and create a new one. He suggested I have the account removed from Skype, which I did, too.
I've been trying since then to create a new account. I have successfully completed the screens to set up an account and each time the account has a name like "live:xxxx" where xxxx is my name. When I log back in, this account does not work. I've done this 3 times with 3 different emails, and cannot figure out what the actual login is.
I thought it might be the password, so I clicked on 'forgot password' and I'm sent a token. But when I try to use the token, I'm told it's not a valid token.
I've tried to contact customer support and chat again, but I need a valid account to log into before I can reach the chat again.
I've tried to find answers in the FAQ, but can't seem to find anyone with this same problem.
I put a note on twitter for @skype, but no one answered it.
I use a Mac, although I don't think it's a Mac problem yet. I can't log into the skype.com page to choose and pay for an account.
You can sense my frustration...please advise where to go to get this fixed.

You need iTunes version 11 for iOS 7.
iTunes version 11 requires OS X 10.6.8 or later...
Click on the Apple icon.. Top left in Finder...
 > About this Mac > Version...what does it say?
