I dropped my brand new iPhone in water and apparently my insurance doesn't cover eater damage. Is there any loop holes to get a new phone without paying full price, Can i upgrade my insurance and then send it in in a week or so?

I cannot believe that apple is refusing to help a customer who bought and paid for iWork software just because I bought it from the retail store the App Store says they cannot allow me to upgrade. I have never heard of such. It should to matter where I got it i bought apples software and I don't et how the retail store can be different frothe App Store my god its all still apple. So stupid. I will not pay full price for the upgrade. Also I purchased Logic Studio and 2 days later the upgrade came out and they will not let u upgrade ? iWork '08 & 09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. Those installations will not be recognized as installed by the Mac App Store. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '08 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08. If it doesn't have the '08 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
If you are running Pages 3.0.3, then you do have the latest version of Pages from iWork '08. If you want to upgrade to iWork '09, you will need to purchase the new version, just like everyone else. The good news is that you can buy just the individual iWork apps - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - that you need or want for $20 US each from the Mac App Store & then install them on as many Macs as you need using the same Apple ID. -
Usually there is a upgrade path for current users of the software at a reduced price. I dont see anything like that for Lightroom 6. Will I have to pay full price just to upgrade to the new LR6 standalone version???

Is there a free trial for Standard?

Unfortunately there is no free trial for Acrobat Standard.
You can purchase the Standard version ,and if it does not suit your requirements ,you can return that back to us and opt for the Pro version.There is a 30 day return policy .
The reason being there is a price difference between the Standard and Pro version for Acrobat .

Upgrading device without paying full price
I want to upgrade my device to a smartphone, but Verizon says I can't do this until August, unless I want to pay full price for the phone. Is there anyway around this?
Pretty much your only options, short of adding another line to get an upgrade/new phone, are to look for the phone you want on eBay or Craigslist, sometimes you can get them for close to, or slightly more than the 2 year price, and also avoid having to renew your contract. Depending on what phone you want, I've seen them go from 200.00 to 400.00 (only one thats really up there in cost is the Razr Maxx).

I saw a few threads where people were saying you either have to be eligible for an upgrade to get the 199.99 price or you have to pay the full price of 599.99
so that means that i cant add a new line to my family talk plan and get it for 199.99?
that makes no sense.This has become absolute insanity.
Of course, you can get the new contract price on the iPhone when you pre-order. Simply indicate where it asks you to that you are starting a new line on your family plan. Or tell the online order-taker.
And stop listening to the **bleep** that think they have the scoop on all this crap and wait for the official Verizon word. I mention this only because I've done it with my new lines and phones.

if youre the adventurous sort, you can try getting a replacement screen off ebay or another site and doing the repair yourself. i dont really recommend it, but its an option

Really? No educational upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 without paying full price?
We bought the CS5.5 educational copy for our daughter in college. Now she needs CS6. Called about an upgrade and was told there isn't one, that we need to buy a whole new version or use cloud with a monthly fee. Basically our CS5.5 is useless now! I have never been a big fan of monthly subscriptions either. What a rip off!

if your iphone 3gs just shuts down when something went wrong with your hardware is there any possible way to get all pictures or other important stuff onto itunes?
What happened to the phone. Did it just go black? Did you try to plug it into Itunes and see if it can be seen or throw it on the charger. You can still try the reset procedure listed in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430 and see if the phone turns back on.
The only way to get things back is to have backed them up ahead of time. -
