I dropped my I pad

Hi , my daughter dropped her I pad and the screen flashed green and wont turn on? what can I do

Some iPad users have been able to revive their dropped iPad. Turn the iPad over and give it a HARD SLAP on the back. May take several slaps.

The screen protector protects against scratches on the screen, not breakage.

    Out-of-Warranty Service
If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace (Apple doesn't repair) your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below. (The replacement will most likely be a refurbished iPad in a brown box, however, it has a new screen, back and battery.)

  • Wifi dropping with i pad 2

My i pad 2 keeps dropping its wifi connection and i am unable to get on to the internet even though my imac and i phone 4 are picking up connection perfectly well??? can anyone help - it is driving me nuts!!!!

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks  http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • Dropped i pad there is no display what should i do?  help !

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If that doesn't help, as I'm guessing it won't, your iPad is almost certainly damaged and will need to be serviced. Apple does not repair iPads, but will replace the entire iPad for a flat fee. If you have AppleCare+ on the iPad, the cost will be relatively minimal; $49 in the US. Otherwise, see the Service Pricing section here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/service/faq/
There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to repair the iPad for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair".  You can also look for parts and instructions and do the repair yourself. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPad serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform your own repair, you will get no further support from Apple.
    Regards.

  • Connecting to an Electronic Signature Pad

    Hello,
We have just purchased Acrobat 9.0 Pro for our business and are trying to get it to work with an electronic signature pad. Both the ignature pad and Acrobat are installed and working: I was told by multiple different personel that Acrobat would work with an electronic signature pad. However, I am not able to get the epad and acrobat to talk to each other. I have tried going to Edit->Preferences->Security (Advanced Settings) -> Create -> Signature Default drop-dpwn menu, but it is not allowing me to connect. The ePad is supposed to be compatilbe with Acrobat, and I was, as mentioned above, told that Acrobat would work with an ePad. I am not opposed to returning the pad IF I have to and purchasing one through Adobe, but as far as I know they do not sell hardware. Help appreciated!

Did Adobe tell you the pad was compatible or somebody else. Personally, I'd recommend you drop the electronic pad idea and switch to digital signatures.

  • Smashed screen i pad 2

Please help, my friends little biy dropped my i pad 2! My fault for letting him play with it! does anyone know hoe much it is to replace the screen?

    Claire...
You need to take the iPad to an Apple Store or Apple certified repair shop for an estimate.
This being a user to user forum, we have no way of knowing what the costs may be.
"This warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with another product; (d) to damage caused by accident"

  • My screen is shattered will Apple give credit for new purchase

I dropped my I pad 3 and screen is shattered still works otherwise does anyone know if Apple will give any credit towards new purchase?

Apple does not give credit toward new purchases although they do have a recycling program that will get you a gift card but the device has to be in decent working order. Obviously the shattered screen blows that.
They do offer an out of warranty replacment plan whereby you can purchase a refurbished iPad at a reduced price.
My iPad is not eligible for warranty service. What are my service options?
Apple offers two service options for iPads that are not eligible for warranty service.
    Battery Replacement Service
If your iPad requires service only because the battery's ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, please refer to the Battery Replacement Service information.
    Out-of-Warranty Service
If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below.
    iPad model
    Out-of-Warranty Service Fee
    iPad mini
    $219
    iPad, iPad 2,
    iPad mini Retina
    $249
    iPad 3rd, 4th generation,
    iPad Air
    $299

However, an iPad that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service.
Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPad is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service. Replacement iPads have a 90-day limited hardware warranty or assume the remainder of your standard warranty or AppleCare product coverage, whichever is longer. Please see the AppleCare+ for iPad andApple Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.

  • I bought an I pad 2 from us but I can not activate the Facetime in UAE(Dubai)as I can not see the country in the I pad's  drop list, anyone has an idea as how to resolve this issue

I bought an I pad 2 from us but I can not activate the Facetime in UAE(Dubai)as I can not see the country in the I pad's  drop list, anyone has an idea as to how to resolve this issue

I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

I Googled "workaround for FaceTime in UAE" to find this.

  • Why does My I-pad drop the internet when I open several sites.

My I-pad drops the internet when I open several sites.  Why?

If you are saying that Safari crashes when you open several Tabs then:
Most likely the problem is bugs in Safari which are crashing the App.
You can try Settings > Safari > Clear History and Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data.
That might help but report these crashes and the sites that cause them to Apple at:

  • I pad dropping connection to apple tv

I recently invested in an apple tv to be able to stream a variety of programs from my i pad. Frustratingly the connection seems to drop regularly during an episode of whatever we happen to be watching. Anyone experienced this as can advise?
(we make sure the apple tv can is in sight of the i pad at all times).

Amazon block their app from working with AirPlay, you should rent and purchase your movies from iTunes.

  • HELP! I pad plugged in all nite only shows 65% charged and dropping like a stone even though still plugged in.  I am in London.  Where can I get help?

HELP! I am in London and my iPad is plugged into wall via adapter and cords bought from Verizon who sold me the I pad.
It does not show it is charging
    It sometimes says "not charging"
it is plugged and % is dropping like a stone.  HELP!

Go to the home screen on the iPad. Double click the home button and where all the app's come up below, hold down on one and then proceed to press on the minus' to delete them from multitasking. Don't worry, your not deleting the actual apps.
That should clear up the 'not charging' business, and the constant dropping. You probably played some big 3D games or watched movies and didn't exit them properly (anything you exit automatically goes into multitasking) thus keeping them open in the background.
    Make sense or not working?

  • I have an I Pad 1 with 64 gigs. It constantly drops me off the Internet for no apparent reason. Is there any fix for this problem?

My I Pad 1 constantly drops me off the Internet and programs. Is there any fix for this problem?  It started after the last update and continues to get worse.
    Doug

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
