Not sure how this forum works, but here's the issue, i'm most likely am not the first or the last to do this.

do not turn it on, that will create a short and that won't be good at all
You do not ever truly power off an IOS device. As long there is power in the battery, there is current flowing somewhere in the device. The power button is a "soft" button and never really fully removes power like a light switch.
The advice to not power on is still valid as the more circuits that are not active the better your chances of recovering the device. But sadly those chances are not real high.

It sounds like the drop damage more then just the lightning adapter.
I suggest you take it to Apple and ask them to check it out for you.

The iPad does not have FireWire, do you mean the USB cable? The charger and cable will get warm during charging but should not actually be hot. If they are too hot to handle, try a different charger/cable and see if they are just as hot.
If not, take the iPad, charger and cable to an Apple store genius bar to be examined by the technicians.

Need help to sort out this issue.

Yes, you would sign out of iTunes & App Store: Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on the Apple ID, click on Sign Out. Then sign back on with the new Apple ID. Also, if you have an iCloud account with the other Apple ID, you would delete that iCloud account, and then sign on with your new ID: Settings>iCloud>Delete Account.

Does this only happen on specific pages?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

If you had iOS 7 BETA installed, just go to developer.apple.com and log in using your developer account. There are discussions about this issue. Otherwise... for non-developers, I'm afraid you're on your on. Use Google.

I'm afraid that you can't sync content to an iOS device via Home Sharing (you can only stream it to an iOS device via Home Sharing).

Ipad mini is still hot and won't open. It's been 7 hours already help me :(

I would unplug it, perhaps try another charger if you can borrow one and see if that causes the heating. And take the Mini and charger to an Apple store genius bar tomorrow and have the techs test the system.
The unit should not be hot, they do get warm and the charger gets warm, during charging. The question is what do you mean by hot? Too hot to handle, or uncomfortably warm?

I have recently updated my iPhone 5,iPad & iPad mini to iOS 7.Air Drop is on iPhone 5 & iPad mini.When I open control center on iPad,there is no option to turn on Air Drop.

I'm new at trying these things. I have AirDrop on my iPad mini......but......can't seem to see where the share button is. Like I said.....I'm new at this. Any idea where I should look?
