I dropped my iphone 3gs, it still works, i have the applecare protection, my at&t account expires 4/2012. Will I be locked into another year with at&t if I try to get my phone repaired?

if you have applecare on your phone, this has nothing to do with your contract with At&t, so no you should be ok.

The phone works fine on hands free and external headsets its just when I want to use it as a phone! I would call Apple tech support, which is excellent. Or take the phone to your local Apple store - not AT&T or Verizon, as the Apple techs specialize in Apple products and are somewhat fanatical about them.
Regarding the photos, they are probably still on the simm card in the phone and recoverable. Check with the Apple folks to get them back... sorry about your pet!

My mistake, I read your post too quickly. I thought you said that you were both getting the same messsages. Is your friend not getting just your messages or does she not get anyone's messages? If she's not getting just your messages you might want to try deleting her contact on your phone and creating it again. Sometimes that will clear things up. Also, obviously the contact must match the number she receives messages at.

Hi all. Since the ios 4.3.2 update my iPhone 3GS no longer works correctly with the bluetooth in my car (2006 Acura TL). I know it's not an issue with the car and the only thing that has changed is the update with the phone. Anybody else having this issue? I have unpaired, tried to re-pair, reset the network settings, reset all of the settings, and did a restore. I'm at a loss with what to do next.

Its becoming a problem of epic proportions...so many people are having the exact same problem...I have a Feb 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Series 200 and since upgrading to OS 4 my USB function no longer works like it did before the upgrade.

Water in itself will not kill electronic components if you let it dry out. Your first reaction to turn it off was a good one but you could have waited even longer.
It also depends what's on your water that will stay after the water itself had dried; like salt. Anything that iseither acid or conductor left on the circuit board will reduce the life of the board. Given said this, no one could state how long your iPhone will work since no one will know for sure where the water had time to infiltrate before you removed your device and no one what's may left there.
Consider yourself lucky. I don't understand however what you mean by a sensor triggered.

I have a 3GS, running iOS on my iPhone 3GS, but still am having issues with the GPS, I am sure others are still having this issue. I found this thread awhile ago, but there wasnt much follow-up on this from Apple, Go to a Genius Bar, plus people in this thread have said that they did that and nothin has worked, or the Mac Genius suggested it might just need the SIM card replaced… I really dont think that would help

So… Apple can you guys just give some clarity on whats is up with this, I mean I am loyal and keep buying your products, but it is only fair that you share just a lil bit of info like: "an update is coming soon to fix this or its a hardware issue, come on in and it will be resolved."

Tim is correct.
But, first step with 3GS white screen and most iPhone problems is Reset, hold both home and power buttons until iPhone begins to restart itself, usually about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If still white screen.
Next step would be Restore the iPhone Firmware with iTunes on your computer. If still white screen.
Next step would be to follow Tim's advice, if you had not already.

Your the one saying it won't work properly, so yes it is broken.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, either get a sim card from the carrier your phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.
