I dropped my iPhone 5 into my glass of water last night. (fully submerged)and i left it in a bag of rice overnight.I turned it on at 3:00 afternoon and thebuttons and soundis working as far as I know,but the touch screen isnt what do I do?? please help
I dropped my iphone 5 into a glass of water last night. Fully submerged. I put it in a bag of rice overnight and took it out and turned it on at about 3:00 this afternoon just to check on it. The buttons and sound were working, as far as I know, but the touch screen would not work at all... WHAT DO I DO??
Turn it off and put it back in the rice for 2-3 days. Do NOT turn it on or attempt to charge it. Turning it on when it was not fully dry may have already done additional damage.
Even if you had let it dry completely before turning it on, there is no guaranty that the outcome would have been any different, though.

FYI, if the phone was not originally sold in India, it can not be serviced in India. You will have to take it back to the country where it originated. -

Connect the iPod to your computer and charge it for at least an hour and then try to restore the iPod via iTunes on your computer. If it asks for an passcode and you do not know it place the iPod in recovery mode to bypass the the passcode. For recovery mode see:

Iphone 4 music shuffle cannot be turned off. The shuffle is turned off on top of the page, shuffle on individual songs is turned off and the settings "shake to shuffle" is turned off also, but the songs keep shuffling in my album. Please Help.
The weird thing is that after I click shuffle when the random number appears, I click it to turn it off and then I click it on again and it works fine. Is this a glitch or a bug or am I doing something wrong? How do I fix this?

Does anyone know how to unfreeze a screen.
My mini Ipad is only 2 months old and it has frozen. The screen says that the ipad needs to be backed up on icloud but the touch screen has frozen and I can even shut it down. SuggestionsTry to reboot it. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, about 20 seconds or so. It should reboot and work for you.

So my phone got wet the other day. I dried it out completely, but the touch screen still isn't working. Is there anything I can do short of getting a new phone? Anything that can be done at the nearest Verizon store? I am one of three phones on our plan and I am trying not to need to get a new phone before our contract expires next month.

We're sorry to hear that your phone isn't working. It's very important to have a functioning touchscreen! Let's explore your options OK? If the phone is taken to a store, troubleshooting can indeed be done. The store representative can even contact us while you're there. Do you have insurance on the device? Or, do you maybe have a prior vzw device that can be activated until the upgrade is available? You can also check your My Verizon account to see if your line( or another line on the account) is eligible for an upgrade. VZW always has options for you.

Iphone screen is black but the touch screen works and everything else, I just can't see anything on the screen . I tried resetting it but that did nothing.
You held down the home & power buttons until the Apple logo appeared? This could take as long as 30 seconds or more.

No one here can help you, & Apple can't/won't help you. Fact is, there is no way to get that iPhone officially unlocked. Only Softbank can authorize the official unlocking of your phone, but they won't. Softbank does not offer official unlocking for any iPhone.

This has happened 3 times... my Ipod touch 4 will be fine one minute,but then the next time I turn it on the screen won't pick up when I touch the screen it wont pick it up. I can't unlock it or completely turn it off becasue the touch screen won't work, but I know it is still alive becasue when you press the home button my lock screen turns up. if you know how to fix this bug please tell me how.

My Iphone 4S Was fully submerged in water, it has not worked for weeks but i plugged it in to the charger today and it worked started up, charged fine the apple logo appeared and then it just stayed black, I managed to type my passcode in without seeing the screen and it unlocked fine. Im now restoring it with itunes and hopefully it helps.
You probably still have warranty. Just go back to your carrier and tell them that your phone suddenly stopped working and they will most likely end up giving you a new/fixed iphone.

Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.
