i dropped my ipod 5 and screen is black and i cant touch anything but siri still works

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Connect it to iTunes and restore it.

  • My iPhone 5 screen has gone black but Siri still works so it won't reset please help

A few minutes ago my iphone 5 went blank but Siri still works so it won't let me reset , any quick tips that I could use to bypass Siri in order to reboot would be appreciated

Try plugging it it to see if the screen comes on. If not then you're screen is damaged.

  • My iphone 4s blacked out you cant see anything but a white line im trying to seee how can i transfer all my stuff off my iphone to this computer?

My iphone 4s blacked out you cant see anything but I white line, how do you transfer everything from your iphone to a computer

Next time make regular backups of your computer. The iPhone is not a backup device, and I'm sure you lost more than your iTunes library. See this user tip for your options: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

  • "force close" and screen goes black and unresponsive

I purchased an original Droid phone for my son and myself back in June 2000 2010 we have been experiencing over a dozen issues the most recent one is that the screen goes entirely black. The power button doesn't respond and the only way to get the screen working again is to remove the battery and replace it.  And a day later the same thing occurs. We both receive error messages "force close" in the middle of a number of programs. Verizon behaves like we are the only ones experiencing these issues. They have behaved nasty while offering no help except to suggest we spend our entire week rebooting our phones and reinstall all the applications every few days.

Have you performed a hard reset?
Performing a hard reset will remove ALLdata including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
Follow the directions below to perform a hard reset:
From the home screen, touch the Applications tab(located on the bottom of the screen).
    Touch Settings.
    Touch Privacy.
    Touch Factory data reset.
    Touch Reset phone.
    Touch Erase Everything

  • Was using my iphone 4 and screen went black and cant power down any help

my i phone just went black cant power down

    Hi rickhead!
Here is an article that will help you with some troubleshooting steps for this issue:

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

  • My iphone screen is broke and i cant see anything but it still rings how can i unlock it ?

My iphone 4s is broke the screen has gone complety blank and its all cracked but when people ring me and text me things like that you can hear it and answer but to back up my phone for when i get a new one i need to unlock it any ideas how ?

Other than finding a third-party repair shop to replace the screen, you can't. Apple doesn't replace iPhone 4S screens, they replace the whole phone, so going to an Apple store won't help you.

  • TS1424 itunes is saying i cant connect to itunes because im locked out with my passcode but my display screen is broken and i cant see anything but my phone works, what should i do? i want to back up my phone before i upload my new one! help me please

im locked out of itunes because i need to put my passcode in but my display screen is broken. i dont know how to fix it because im tying to back up my old iphone but i cant without putting in my passcode.

If you have synced the device on a computer in the past, you can back it up without the passcode. If you have not synced/backed up the device before, then you are out of luck. No way to back it up or sync it without the passcode.

  • My phone got wet and screen is black, please help?!!

My phone got wet and the screen turned black after a while, it is still on because I receive phone calls and can answer them by swiping the screen where I know to swipe. The phone rings and I can even have a conversation on it. The screen is black however, I cant see anything else or do anything else. I'm going to take the phone to apple tomorrow to see if its repairable. Any suggestions??? Its a 4s, have it for about 4-5 months...

    Try resetting the phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

  • I accidentally dropped macbook air that was in a book bag. The keyboard is working because I can see the light but the screen is black and it won't turn off. How should I fix this? Please Help ME!!

I accidentally dropped my friend's macbook air that was in a book bag. The keyboard is working because I can see the light but the screen is black and it won't turn off. How should I fix this? Please Help ME!!
I tried to turn it off and it didn't work... and I held on to the shift key too and it still doesn't work..
    Please help me..

Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty.  And it seems there is much accidental damage.  Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.
There is no gentle way to say this sir/ma'am ... someone will need to pay for your friend's MBA repairs.

  • My Ipod just stopped working, the screen got black and now I can't open it. I have tried to charge it but it doens't work.

My Ipod touch 5 just stopped working. The screen got black and now I can't use it or start it.
I have tried to charge it but it doens't start and when I tried to connect it with my computer it didn't work either.
I saw that you could hold down the "home" button and the "power" button at the same time but my home button doens't work so I can't do that.
Is there any other way I can fix it or do I have to go to an apple store?

    Try:
    Turn on without Home/Power Button

  • My ipod nano 4th generation only works when it is plugged into the computer; otherwise, the screen turns black and it is completely unresponsive to any efforts such as pushing buttons, reseting, etc. What should I do?

Sounds like the battery is shot and in need of a replacement.  You can have Apple replace the battery for a flat fee or you can send it into a third party repair center for a bit less.
Not much else you can do for troubleshooting this one.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
