Nobody's warranty covers user damage. Apple will replace your drowned phone with an "out of warranty replacement", but will require money, happily only a fraction of the full retail price.

If it fried the charger, then there is something seriously wrong with it. You need to take it to an Apple Store to have it looked at, and be prepared to be told that you will need to get a new phone. If you can't charge it, it will be useless to you in a matter of days anyway. Also, do not even try to hook it up to your computer....you will probably cause serious damage to the computer and be even worse off than you are now.
Sorry about your troubles. But for your own safety, you need to have the phone looked at! Don't wait - if you wait until it has no more charge left, then no one will be able to recharge it to look at it....

You won't. Had you placed the phone immediately in a bag of dry rice for a few days, you might have had a chance. But turning on a phone before it dries completely just destroys it.

Ho there I have an iPhone 4 and is currently away for service but I wondered if it will be covered by the warranty as the silent button was broken and I sent for a box and as the box was being delivered I was juggling a lot and dropped my phone in water. iPhone warranty is not international, you can take it to the Hong Kong Apple Store and ask but don't be surprised if they hand the iPhone back to you and tell you to take to United States for service

deggie, sorry to disagree, but I've had Apple Stores tell me (as well as Apple's Repair Depot) that if the water damage has gotten too severe (such as causing excessive corrosion inside the device), they may opt not to allow the OOW replacement. It's always at Apple's final discretion whether or not a device is or is not BER (Beyond Economical Repair). Basically, if there's not enough worth to salvage from the device to make it worth Apple's time, they can refuse the OOW replacement.
It's wiser to prepare for the worst and then be delighted when the reality is better. -

Only if it penetrated the phone enough to set off the water damage litmus paper inside the phone. That means you need to take it in for service. You don't want to take it apart and risk voiding the warranty.
