I encountered an error when trying to uninstall CS4

I had CS4 and CS6 installed on my Macbook Pro.  The uninstall app for CS4 wouldn't work so I deleted CS4 files manually thinking that I could then reinstall CS4 and then uninstall it properly.  Didn't work and so I know I am stuck with a bunch of CS4 files that might interfere with CS6.  Help!  Thanks in advance!

Different suites are normally independent of each other and should not interefere with one another.  You can try using the Cleaner tool to straighten things out.

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use  another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

Photo Booth encountered an error when trying to save your photos. Your photos cannot be saved at this time.
    How do i fix this?

I had the same issue, as suggested by others on similar question I checked my permissions and they were fine.
    This worked for me
    1) First saved the photos from my current Photo Booth library
    2) Deleted the photo booth library folder
    3) Created a new admin user
    4) Copy the photo booth library from the new user and paste it in your user (where the previous photo booth library was)
    5) You can then delete the new user you created.

  • ICloud encountered an error when trying to connect to server?

When I log into ICloud I continue to get a message "ICloud encountered and error while trying to connect to the server"

Have you asked the IT people at work? Checked it on another computer at work?

  • We encountered an error when trying to create your account using worldship address

I am from saudi arabic I am trying to created account using addess of worldship  but it's not working need you help to fix this issues

    Hello majedmj,
Thank you for your message. I'm sorry to hear that you're still having difficulties in creating an account.
Creating an account on BestBuy.com requires only your first and last name, email address, zip code, and telephone number. Have you been able to successfully create an account by providing this information? If so, at what point are you receiving an error message? What specific error message(s) are you receiving? To my understanding, the address you provide must be a valid U.S. residential address. Does your address meet this requirement?
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Sincerely,

  • Icloud encountered an error when trying to connect to the server

I get this error everytime I try and sign in to icloud.com on my work desktop.  I have tried IE8, and Chrome (latest version) on my Windows xp machine.  any suggestions.  I know my office uses Websence to restrict internet access but it is hard to believe iCloud would be blocked.

If it only does it at work, then the most likely reason is that your work network is blocking it, or one of the servers iCloud connects to.

It would help if you let us know just where you moved the file to.  Also, if you moved it back to where it belong!
Care to share which OS you are using?

  • 2 errors when trying to install cs4 on windows 7 ultimate x64

I downloaded the trial version of PS cs4 to try out on my new laptop.  Its a clean install of windows 7 ultimate x64.  I gets maybe 10% into the install and i keep getting these errors...
    Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS4
    Error:
Error 1612. The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
    Adobe Output Module
    Error:
Error 1610. The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel.
If somebody could shed some light on what i can do to make this work that would be great.  Ive tried redownloading the installer probably 4 or 5 times now.  Ive tried running in compatability mode and ive made sure its being ran as an administrator.
    Thanks

Some of CS4 might be installed so you will need to run the clean script.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
Just install photoshop and bridge only. You can install the other stuff later on (not need to run bridge nor PS anyways)
Do the install only on C drive too.
