No. You will have to find it the old fashioned way, like if yo lost a wallet or purse.

If it's not registered with Track My Mac you can still do that - when/if it's turned on it will then show up.

IF you set up find my ipod on teh ipod BEFORE it was lost AND it is on AND it is conected to wi-fi AND it has not been found and restored, then you may be able to get an approximate street address using icloud.
Otherwise, you cannot track it.

The 2nd and 3rd gen devices don't store anything except for photos used in the screensaver via home sharing. Even those are temporarily cached, and there is no accessible drive. Photo stream is being accessed directly from the cloud.
The 1st ten had a hard drive, but not meant to be for primary storage (syncing purposes only).
It's always highly recommended to keep regular backups.

When you purchase an HD video on a supported device or computer, only HD video will be downloaded. To download the SD version, you need to download the video again from your Purchased page. Conversely, if you purchase an HD video on an unsupported device, the SD version will be downloaded. Then, you will need to download the HD version from your Purchased page. Your options are kinda limited. I would use this first:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and ...
Then check here for the non-purchased items:

You want to rebuild the library first, then sync the ipod.

- If you have a 1G ipod you can't update past 3.1.3. To identify yourd see:
Identifying iPod models
- Be aware that if you can/do update the iOS to the latest (4.2.1 for a 2G and 4.3.4 for a 3G) you may not be able to sync to the old computer since that computer will need the latest iTunes to see/sync with the update iPod. Yo need an Max with at least OSX 10.5.8.
You can transfer iTunes purchases from the iPod to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
You can use on of the third-party programs dicussed here to transfer other stuff:
new PC: Apple Support Communities
Unless you can move/copy the iPod backup file to the new computer you will loose all app data and restore from that backup. That file is located:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

If the movies were rentals then no.
If the movies are purchases and you have the iTunes 10.4 then you should be able to access the 'cloud' option from in the main iTunes page - purchases - (upper right corner) and go from there.
You should also have the option to transfer purchases from the iPad back into iTunes. I don't have an iPad but you can transfer purchases from the iPod/iPhone back to iTunes.
