I erased my iPad but the old user apple id keeps popping up and i don't remember the old password

Recently, I changed my old apple id because i could no longer excess the old email address.  An apple tech helped me change my apple id but i was unable to update anything.  I was told to erase my I pad so that the new apple id would come on.  Well i didn't  know that i had linked the i pad to find my phone. It wants me to put in the old password and to the old apple id but i don't remember it.  I can't get pass the old activation screen.

If you activated find my ipad while using the old ID, it is activation locked.
You will not be able to get past it without using the old ID passwordIf
you forgot your Apple ID password
