I facetime

yep, i know that not big trouble for you guy but not my family or wife.
Since my wife update my mac in to YOSEMETE 10.10 that's have been bring so many troubles.
the most important is iface time, i am working far away from her then the only thing keeps her on touch "facetime.
with 10.10 no active, keychain problem.
This id apple cant not be used to set up face time at this time.
Lol, Please help me to fix that as soon as possible.

There is no official public documentation of that alert as far as I know.
If you're trying to sign in to FaceTime, try to sign in to iMessage in the Messages application, or vice versa.
Otherwise, do as the alert directs. According to reports, you won't be charged for the support call if you select "Apple ID"—not the hardware model—as the product you're asking about, and cite the "customer code" in the alert as the "validation code" when you speak to the Apple representative. I can't confirm.

  • Problem with facetime in my ipad mini

When using Facetime on my ipad mini,  sometimes the screen will turn black then an apple logo will appear, looks like it reset. I already tried resetting my ipad but still the same.

Are you trying to use the phone in Bahrain with a supported carrier there? I suspect not. If you try to use this phone outside of Bahrain, you won't have FaceTime. This is done to prevent folks from simply crossing the border to purchase iPhones in Bahrain...FaceTime is banned in Saudi Arabia & the UAE. Sorry, but you'll only have FaceTime on that phone while using it in Bahrain on a supported carrier's network there.

  • HT204053 I have multiple people in my family that use Itunes under my account. Is it possible for them to have different user names? The reason why I am asking is when I go to FaceTime my daughter's iPhone it also rings to my husbands iPhone.

When I used facetime on my Macbookair for the first time I facetimed my daughter's iphone and it also rang to my husbands iphone. How do I keep that from happening? We all use the same itunes account so does it have something to do with that? do we each our own apple ID? and is it possible to do that?

Create an AppleID under different email addresses for each family member at http://appleid.apple.com
If they don't already have their own email address just setup a free one with Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or whoever you prefer.
Then on each device sign into iMessage with the users own AppleID in:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Tap AppleID at top > Sign Out, then sign back in again with the correct AppleID.

  • We have three Ipads in our house.  We have one itunes account with multiple devices like two Iphones and Apple TV.   My question is about our three Ipads.   How can I set up the imessaging and facetime on all three devices while only using one Itunes acct

Okay.  We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account.   When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads.    As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad.   My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off.     Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work???    Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Ryan

There is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

FaceTime and iCloud must be signed in to the same Apple ID to use iPhone Cellular Calls.
This is the error message I receive when I try to add my phone to my Mac for proximity / FaceTime audio calling.  This feature worked until I changed my Apple ID.  I have updated my Apple ID everywhere I can think of updating it.  I've signed out of Apple ID on my Mac, deleted EVERYTHING (calendars, contacts, etc.), signed back in, etc.  I've done the same with my phone, and even done a power-down / reboot and nada.  I keep getting this message from the Mac.
I can't figure out where else I should look for my old Apple ID to be logged into anything or creating problems.  I've gone over my iPhone and Mac and I'm at a loss.  As an aside (and yes, wrong forum), have lost the ability to do SMS forwarding since the Mac no longer receives the code from my iPhone to allow this feature to work.  This was lost after signing out of the Apple ID on my Mac this afternoon.
Bluetooth is turned on for both devices.  Both devices are on the same WiFi network.  Both devices otherwise appear to be working correctly with the exception of the problems I'm having with FaceTime and iCloud being signed into the same Apple ID (which they are).
    Thanks in advance,

(By the way, I should have pointed out in my earlier posting that I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my Mac). I Just installed latest Yosemite update while my iPhone was switched off, and when my Mac restarted, the 'iPhone Cellular Calls' checkbox in the FaceTime preferences was checked and the problem was therefore solved. Switched on my iPhone, still fine. Relief.

  • We have multiple devices in our family.  On each iPad/iPhone each user has their own apple id for iMessage, Facetime and icloud, but we all sign in to the same apple id for itunes.  When one of my kids comments on my shared photostream, it shows my name??

    CREATE A NEW USER
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS.

  • TS3367 Can't Facetime because multiple ipods on 1 account?

I have 3 ipod touch devices and an iphone connected to my apple id.  My kids want to facetime each other but their device rings once and then says unavailable.  Is this because they all have the same apple id since they are under my account?

that is not possible facetime and imessage don't tie with the device it tie with the appleID
imessage and facetime between devices with the same appleID will never work because of that
plus all imessages will be recieved by all devices

  • How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat.

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see  the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • HT204053 Can I use one Apple ID for iMessage/Facetime that is not the same as my iCloud ID?

I have one Apple ID for iCloud that is used on multiple devices. Each user has their own Apple ID for Store purchases.  Can I use my Apple ID that is NOT my iCloud ID as a way to get my iMessages/FaceTime on multiple devices?

To clarify, we share an iPad (original iOS 5.1.1).
When I use it, I would like to use my individual AppleID that I use for store purchases so I get MY iMessages on both my phone and the iPad.
It seems to work when I use the iCloud Apple ID (meaning iMessages come through on both units) but when I try to set them both up using my store Apple ID, it doesn't work.
    Help?!?!

  • Can my family use 'find my iphone' for each other if we each have separate apple ids? recently had to create separate ones b/c we were getting each others texts/facetimes and i read this happens when you share an apple id.

Can my family still use the 'find my iphone' app from our iphones / ipod touch to locate each others phone if we have separate apple ids?  We were sharing a single apple id but recently we started getting each others texts/facetimes .. I read that this happens when you share an apple id.  Will we just have to sign in with the others' apple id to locate their phone ?

Use Find My Friends app instead.   Much easier to manage, and you won't need each other's id/pw's to do it.   They only need to accept your invitations and vice versa.

  • IPhone 4 with Facetime. How can I see the other party instead of myself?

    Several scenarios; same result:
    1. Normal call comes in from another party using an iPhone 4 (like mine).
         a. I answer and press Facetime.
         b. She presses Facetime.
Result: I see myself. She sees herself
    2. I call her from my Contacts list by pressing the FaceTime button.
         a. Her phone rings and rings (as I hear it, not her).
         b. She never receives an indication that I am trying to FaceTime her.
         Result: Failure to connect.
    3. She calls me from her Contacts list, same way, 3 times.
         a. My phone does not register her attempts.
         Result: Failure to connect.
    4. I turn on my WiFi setting, as I am at home using the iPhone. I call her.
         a. She answers, presses FaceTime.
         b. I press FaceTime.
Result: I see myself. She sees herself.
Note: She was not connected to WiFi at the time. Was this the mysterious key to our lack of success?
By what settings and methods can we get to see each other? (She lives across the country... I'd love to see her.)

A FaceTime call can be done when both devices are connected to an available wi-fi network only.
This will change with iOS 6 to be released this fall which will include the option to FaceTime when connected via 3G, not just wi-fi.

  • IPod Touch: apps (facebook, twitter, facetime) don't work properly with my wireless internet having worked perfectly before. Help needed!

I got my iPod Touch 4g for Christmas 2011 and for the first 2 weeks everything worked fine - I could download apps; use apps to their full potential; use FaceTime; use everything.
But after the two weeks, the iPod decided to no longer work as well as it had promised. First of all, it would take more than 2 hours to download a single app from the app store and then, straight after that, I couldn't connect to FaceTime (it had worked perfectly before). Then, finally, to top it all off - Facebook and Twitter stopped working on occasions. For example, I couldn't post/send messages or photos on Twitter and at the majority of the time, the News Feeds wouldn't load.
Sometimes everything works but most of the time it doesn't. I've tried my iPod at every time of the day and it makes no difference - nothing still works! Also, I don't think it is the fault of my wireless internet because I've had an iPod touch before and it worked perfectly, and the laptop that I am writing this question on also works perfectly with wifi.
The weird thing is that I have used my iPod to its full potential (everything worked fine) at my friends hosue on multiple occasions - using his wifi. I am really lost for ideas for what to do - I have uninstalled all the apps that don't work with the internet (facebook, twitter) and have always made sure that I have closed apps after using them, so that my iPod wouldn't run slow.
My iPod has been like this for over a month now, help would be appreciated

Do you have a blackberry data plan active. On your account? You need an active blackberry data plan to use the majority of data functions on your phone, even if you are connected to wifi

  • Facetime no longer working with mavericks

I've used facetime for a while now to talk to family out of the country. Since I've upgraded to mavericks I can't log in with my apple id and password (which are both correct as I can log in to app store with them). Facetime cycles between log in page, then verifying, then back to log in page. Sometimes just gets stuck on verifying. Weird.
    Any help would be appreciated.
